Pros: "very comfortable reclining seats for sleeping. It was a lot of work for the attendants setting up each bed and then taking it apart. But for me, it was much more comfortable than the flight from SFO to ACK."
Cons: "Movies did not change from November to December. I watched 3 on the way to NZ in Nov and they were still the only 3 to interest me on the return flight. Disappointed."

In particular, for the Auckland - Vancouver flight, one ground staff was telling economy passengers (in rather rude express) they were in the wrong line except there was never announcement. Overall, disappointed."

Pros: "The gate agents and the gate supervisors were rude and condescending My reservation was changed mid air and even though I made it to the gate 18 to Houston on time and boarding was still in progress I was not allowed to board. I was informed a plane was not a bus that I could hop on anytime I liked. When I protested that I had a confirmed reservation I was calmly told. “We canceled it because we didn’t expect you to make it.”"
Cons: "I missed my Thanksgiving Holiday because some powers that be decided I would not be able to make a connection So instead of waiting to we if I missed it and rebook then, like a normal airline, they preemptively cancelled and denied boarding."

Pros: "Our hostess was extremely friendly, accomdating and engaging. Air Nz need more staff like her! We had taken a Honolulu flight to Auckland flight the day before and were really disappointed with the service, lack of friendliness and the limited availability of food were not what I have come to expect on Air NZ, an airline we have been so proud of in the past to fly."

Cons: "We were late arriving, the cabin crew although they were pleasant, didn’t do enough to allow the passengers to get off first, for the connecting flight. Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."

Cons: "I had input that I was vegan when I booked and it’s on my airpoints profile- however I did not receive a vegan meal which was a bit disappointing."

Pros: "As has been my prior experience with Air New Zealand, I found the trip to be virtually flawless. The boarding process was smooth and efficient, the crew was great and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job, the food was good, and I had lots of choices on the IFE system. For flying cattle class on a 15 hour flight, I arrived reasonably rested and content."
Cons: "My only complaint is that the extra $60 I had to pay in order to get a window seat got me just that. There was no additional room either length- or width-wise and no other advantages other than the window. I would not pay for that "privilege" again and I'm sorry to see that ANZ has stooped to the level of its American counterparts."
Pros: "Unlike the American flights, they actually served a light snack (not pretzels and nuts) and offered complementary wine and beer. The ride was pleasant."
Cons: "For the economy passengers, we had to go down a flight of stairs onto the tarmac and then back up on a portable stairs to get onto the plane. The same was true when we were deboarding the plane. This has more to do with the airports than with Air New Zealand."

Pros: "Very friendly and frequent service while in-flight. It was great having my own monitor built into the seat to watch available movies or tv shows I wanted to for the duration of the flight. Flight attendants would walk the aisles every two hours and offer water to everyone. I had never flown Air New Zealand before, but now it's one of my top airlines."
Cons: "The only complaint would be that there was no in-flight wifi available onboard."
Pros: "Air New Zealand may be one of the best airlines I've ever flown. Fantastic service and great flight!"
Pros: "The flight attendants were very helpful. One of our travelers got sick on the plane and, unfortunately, made a mess in one of the toilets. Without batting an eye, the crew took on the thankless task of cleanup. We noticed that the bulkheads had fixtures embedded in them to allow a small basinet to be attached to the bulkhead. One couple used it for their infant and it seemed to be a lifesaver. I don't know of any other airline that offers this."
Cons: "Our seats were more narrow than normal. Almost to the point of discomfort. We did fly on Air New Zealand from Auckland to Christchurch and the seats on that flight were what I would consider a "normal" width. Meals were served in a timely way but the food was just okay - nothing outstanding. But, we did fly coach/economy."

Cons: "I am a small person and found the legroom to be inadequate. I paid $50 to upgrade the seats to economy plus to give us a bit more space but it wasn't any better. For a long, overseas flight, more space is needed. I had more legroom on my domestic flight with United. Also, the airline attendants for Air NZ were unpleasant and downright grumpy at times. It made a long, uncomfortable flight seem a whole lot longer."
