Pros: "The seat was super uncomfortable and they switched out flights 3 times so the layovers were extremely long."

Cons: "Boarding and take off was delayed by about one hour, with no proactive communication from crew about the delay. Passengers waiting to board individually questioned why we had not started boarding yet when information screens in the airport displayed otherwise. We did not start boarding for a 12 hour international flight until ten minutes to scheduled take off. The first time we were informed about the delay as a group was after we had entered the aircraft."

Pros: "Have flown most carriers to Australia and NZ. Air NZ by far the best. I mean, I am flying cattle class, so its never going to be great. However, compared to the other carriers available, the seats are the most comfortable and have more legroom. If you can afford their sky couch, do so. Food is edible (and, to me, most airlines are not) and was nice to get WiFI all the way across for just a few air points."

Cons: "The meal choices were chicken curry or beef on this flight. They ran out of beef quickly. Why would you serve something like curry on an airplane that’s not at all agreeable to at least half the people on the plane and then force the rest of us to eat it when you run out of the other option? My seat recliner was broken so I got to sit straight up for 12 hours."

Pros: "The flight was pretty much a plain regional hopper. I got upgraded to first but honestly it didn't feel like a significantly different experience besides legroom"

Cons: "If the customer is given the option of special meal - 1. the special meal should be what one selects. I selected Hindu meal as per option and was being served Veg Jain Meal. 2. Should be made available. Though I booked the flight for both me and my wife and the special meal request was for both, the wrong Veg meal was made available only to my wife. Something is not right with their system. One you serve what you make us select and then the system is recording only for one passenger."

Pros: "The boarding process was efficient and the seat was comfortable enough for coach class across the Pacific. It was a definite bonus not having someone in the middle seat. The food was quite good, and I appreciated the ability to get snacks throughout the flight. The crew was efficient, the IFE is very good, and the entire experience was very positive. I will continue to fly ANZ internationally as often as I can."

There was no meatless options for food. Cabin temperature varied wildly requiring several clothing changes in a cramped seat I didn't select."

Cons: "temperature regulation on the plane was quite poor. Parts of the cabin were very warm and others were very cold and flight attendants had difficulty regulating the temperature. food was also quite bland."

Cons: "Extra charge to get to sit next to my wife, which I was subsequently told I didn't have to pay because if my frequent flyer status (star alliance gold), but no, so sorry, no refund of that extra fee possible. Cheap!"

Pros: "Fairly comfortable flight, good onboard entertainment. I liked the selection of movies and NZ tv programs. The food was delicious and I love that complimentary wine is served."

Cons: "My only complaint was in regard to the children's meals. We ordered children's meals ahead of time for our 2 kids. On our flight from SFO to AKL, no problem but on the return flight they only brought us one child's breakfast. I asked a crew member for the other one. She told us it would be brought over but never was. So my son had to wait until the regular meals were brought and have one of those. Not a big deal but it was a little annoying. Also, for the return trip dinner, they served delicious Kapiti ice cream with the adult meal but no ice cream with the kids' meals so my kids were super disappointed about that and my husband and I shared ours with them. Again, not a terrible offense, just a little annoying."

Cons: "Breakfast could be better. My son didn't get his choice on one flight and there was not much he would eat in choices. Make it more general so even teenagers/kids can enjoy. Crew could be nicer, especially in Premier Economy when we pay so much money!"

Cons: "I suppose it is good marketing to make you walk past the amazing seats in business/premier class on your way past "Premium Economy" back to economy class on the Boeing 777 -- but it did make me wish I had a few thousand dollars to throw away on 13 hours of being pampered. Economy seats are pretty narrow. I am of average size and I was often bumping and being bumped by the passenger in the adjacent seat as well as by people walking up and down the aisle."

Cons: "Would have been more exciting to land early if our gate was ready. Better to wait on the ground than their air I guess but after 11 hours on a plane the last thing you want to do is wait longer. Realize that's on the airport and not the airline, although there should be communication there."

Cons: "I was issued a ticket with a window seat as I had requested. However, when I boarded and sat in the seat I was assigned, I was moved because it turned out that the couple that was sitting next to me had purchased the seat so they could lay down. I was seated at another window seat, but it turned out the couple in that row had paid extra to have that seat empty as well. I was not only re-seated before the plane took off, but then I was re-seated THREE more times until finally being put in a middle seat after the flight was in flight. To top it all off, the plane was so delayed I missed my connecting flight to my final destination."

Pros: "Newer interior design, food was pretty good, entertainment system was touchscreen and had some nice new features, bathroom taps had a motion sensor (it's about time!), clean aircraft and modern led lighting."

Cons: "We had seats right next to bathroom doors. The design should make sure there are no seats in that location."
