Though the delay was made good during the NY Dubai flight, there was no assurance from the Captain about this when we left NY....and we were doing calculations throughout the 14 hour flight!"

The staff is very welcoming and helpful and we were in economy so I can only imagine what it must be like in First Class! Also the free entertainment is phenomenal- wide range of choice. We also enjoyed the outside cameras that help you see views from the outside. Pretty cool!"

Pros: "Emirates is easily the beeeest airline out there. Their economy beats almost every other airline, and their rewards system is fantastic (truly rewarding -- I get free flights all the time for being a Skywards Silver member). The food is so much better than other airlines too. I ordered a vegan meal and their vegan meals over the past 6 years went from absolutely awful to incredibly delicious and gourmet. Their entertainment system is also the best Ive seen across all airlines. They have movies that are literally still in theaters, as well as old classics, comedies, horrors, tv shows, world movies in every language, audiobooks, meditation guides and more. The crew is totally accommodating. Happy to keep flying on Emirates for every flight !"

Cons: "Due to an accident the flight was redirected which I understand but when we landed in Bahrain it took four hour for Emirates to organize a hotel then we did not fly out until 15 hours latter on top of that there was no communication or assistance with connecting flights. I missed my connection and was charged another me to fly the following day. This could have been avoided with better communication."

Pros: "The food choices were lovely, plenty of bathrooms and touch screen entertainment (albeit with an outdated feeling and clunky interface.) The skycam was the best part of the entertainment interface options, giving you an outside view of the plane at all times from a camera at the top of the plane tail. Watching the plane during its descent and landing was very cool."
Cons: "I’ve flown in tight-spaced economy seats before, but the lack of space to even bend over to reach items on the floor was extreme on this plane and unacceptable for a 15+ hour flight. It truly felt like a straightjacket. Serious acrobatics were required to reach items on the floor. The tray table would also fly down on its own, the lever holding it would slide free while I was sleeping. There was no wifi at all, not even for using the qantas apps. My fiancé flew on Virgin the week before and was able to purchase wifi and stay in touch with me for $19 for the duration of the flight. Even my flight earlier this year with Qantas on the Dreamliner lacked usable wifi, but the experience of the Dreamliner plane itself was wonderful. In addition, the usb ports on the end of the armrests weren’t working. I feel it should be part of the safety briefing to point out where the usable power points are, given how vital charged phones are these days for boarding passes, reaching loved ones and entertainment when the wifi isn’t working. I didn’t realize there was a plug for laptops/ block plugs until I asked about the USB ports not working until the last 2 hours of the flight. The location of that was somewhere few would notice or look if not explicitly told. This will be the last time I ever book with Qantas when an a380 model is involved, unless great overhauls and updates are completed. Economy should not lack basic ergonomic comforts and while I’ve spent years touting my love for Qantas, having had wonderful experiences in the past, this one fell far below what I had come to expect from the Qantas name."

The QANTAS flight staff are great. I also like that they don't go down the aisle with trolleys a lot (just for the meals) and that they just come around with jug and cup for drinks."

Cons: "They let us know by email little before departure that there would be a delay of 1h 15 min in our arrival to London. This made me uneasy from the very beginning that I would lose my London-Luxembourg flight. The crew in the boarding gate, only after much insisting, said they would make a note so that someone from Qantas would wait for me and help me get my London-Luxembourg flight no problem, but in the next stopovers (Melbourne, Dubai), there was no sign of this. Also, the delay in the end was 2h 20 min - and I lost my flight to Luxembourg."

Pros: "I cannot thank the Qantas staff enough for our recent, very smooth trip from Melbourne to Dubai. I was a little worried about the 14 hour trip since I am 7 months pregnant and wanted to be sure I had enough room to move about as needed. Both the desk and plane staff arranged for my husband and myself to have 4 seats to ourselves (luckily, it wasn't a full flight!) which allowed me to rest and put my feet up (literally!) through our long journey. They also checked on us frequently to make sure we were comfortable throughout. Thanks so much Qantas, we will definitely be traveling with you again with our little one in tow!"

Cons: "We have an autistic child and to get the seats that are most suitable for us proved very difficult. We got there in the end but basically they have said that that if we want to get our seats before check in opens we need the pay. We have never had to do this before and I was very shocked and surprised. They eventually relented and resolved the issue however the damage was already done. For a company that is associated with the local autism society I was very disappointed that they don't recognise it for the challenge that it can be."

Cons: "Gate attendant was fairly rude (could be a result of holiday travel stress) - several travelers didn’t speak English fluently, and she would snap at them or roll her eyes they weren’t comprehending instructions. Boarded extremely early (almost an hour) but sat on tarmac for some time - eventually took off about 20 minutes late. Not airlines fault and likely result of holiday backlog Retrieving baggage from plane was biggest issue - use a carry on to but was required to valet bag as opposed to storing overhead. Baggage unloading was late (again, holiday backlog) but no personnel were available to inform passengers of delay, and bags were not in initial cart. Resulted a delay of offloading by roughly 20 minutes. Was ultimately found in the second wave of luggage, and witnessed baggage handlers tossing luggage carelessly onto cart floor. Nothing was damaged but was annoyed at lack of communication and overall disorganization."

Even if there were several concurring factors, it it necessary to find a better procedure in order to avoid keeping passangers inside a plane with the prospect of taking off in the next half hour repeated every half hour! For the ones of us traveling with children it is even worse, and becomes a real nightmare."

Cons: "I do not like that I am missed my flight and got stuck in a city without any re-embersement. I usually use United, but decided to use American Airlines this time. Sleeping in an airport tonight. Thanks."
Pros: "In General, as a premium passenger, I usually enjoy the premium cabin experience; however, it was lacking this time."
Cons: "In first class, three/four of us requested headphones/headsets; the flight attendant informed us that there were no headphones/headsets; thus, we could not watch any programming In first class, there were two meal options, but one was almost immediately depleted before the flight attendant arrived at my row."
Cons: "We booked a BA flight from Pittsburgh to Glasgow, through Philadelphia. We intentionally chose BA because we anticipated good service. We later learned that the flight was serviced by American. Our original flight was delayed one day because we missed our connection due to weather on the East Coast (after six hours at the airport). American re-ticketed us for a flight the next day. After several misstarts in Pittsburgh, we arrived in Philadelphia with minutes to spare. After running to the gate, we were then greeted with what turned out to be a four hour delay. Then, upon return, we learned that our seat selections/priority boardings were all deleted because of the re-ticketing on the on the flight out, and we spent hours on the phone and at the airport trying to get things sorted out and ensure that we had a return flight. One of the worst trips ever in my experience."
Pros: "Boarding was prompt, flight attendants polite and accommodating."
Cons: "If I am in business class and platinum status, why can't I use the lounge - which is only available to Platinum status going to LA or SF, Latin America but not to Cancun. American Airlines needs to change this policy."
Pros: "The boarding process was easy and the seats were extra comfortable"

Pros: "The seats on the plane were well covered and leather like that was helpful"
Cons: "The food was horrendous ant the staff unprepared for service . They don't want to be service oriented they want to be your equal they are two familiar and on the edge of rude."
Cons: "i ask the crew for help to locate my luggage because we didnt pick it up after we landed in chicago for custom check! we were told in thailand that our bag will be going to wichita and we did not need to pick it up in chicago, when i try to do the self check in their machine didnt work! so i had to wait in line, and then wheni ask the crew member for help to locate my luggage she said she is too busy!!!!!"
Pros: "Pleasant flight for the hour ride. Not bumpy at all."
Pros: "I like AA because they are honest and kind. I received good value for my money."
Cons: "More options with first class food"
Pros: "The plane was sleek and clean. I had a good amount of room even in coach!"
Pros: "I paid for extra leg room and I got it. The only thing I was in the row right behind first class they require you to put all of your carry-on above even a purse. I had never had that before but I guess that's common practice."
Pros: "The staff always looked like they were happy to help."
Cons: "Cold"

Cons: "My aisle had a couple of vets who were just doing the job. Missed several rows during a beverage service. Not bad but nothing special."
Cons: "The 20 minute wait before we could dock at the gate An annoying air vent making an intermittent noise... Something broken obviously"
Pros: "Overall, 3 stars. We were late to board, about a half hour. One of the flight attendants seemed to be drunk, really not joking about this. For comfort, it was a typical plane, not much room. There was NO MEALS on the plane.. it was a three hour flight. The airport we flew out of also didn't have restaurants once you went through security. There was free entertainment but since we were out of the US, we couldn't access it we entered the US"
Pros: "Thomas of the crew gave incredible service."
Cons: "Both to and from the seat didn't fully function and both ways the entertainment system broke down"
Pros: "I purchased extra leg room -- very spacious"
Cons: "Long weather delay -- over three hours."
