I was able to meet up with my son who flew them from SFO and fly on to Cambodia together. Guangzhou airport is stellar, clean, spacious, and transit was comfortable. Will flutter again with confidence."

As a result: Chinese "One China policy: collided with a sticker in my passport, so that I was declined necessary entry into China for transit purposes. 1) The staff in Frankfurt should have checked my documents first and should have pointed out that problem. 2) It should have been clearly highlighted on the tickets and during booking, that there is a stopover with necessary immigration into China."

Cons: "I was flying to Delhi & it was an emergency situation for me bcz i lost my Dad & i was flying to perform the cremation of my Dad. And thing this was informed to the China Southern officials so that they could arrange something for me. I requested them to put me into another flight for which i was ready to pay the whole amount but no one listen to my request & i had to wait so long. I was amazed to see that no one was keen to understand my problem at both he airports i.e. Auckland Airport & Ganzhaou Airport. Apart from this the behavior of your officials was so rude & arrogant it made me feel as if i was a slave or some kind of culprit. Due to the ignorance & laid back attitude on your part i couldn't reach my destination on my time. Seriously it took me "24 hrs Extra" to reach my destination & as a result of which i couldn't perform the cremation. I was pissed off by the service; complete ignorance by the staff/officials of ur airlines. I wasn't expecting this kind of treatment from a reputed company like you. I request you guys to look into this matter seriously and try to take some corrective measures so that this thing won't happen in future with someone else."

Airlines close check-in for flights 30 mins before departure time to ensure that all bags make it onto the plane. I was 3 hours early. Don't know why they 'didn't have time'. They also broke my friend's bag."

Cons: "The flight was excessively delayed. What was supposed to be a flight leaving at 2:25 AM left only at 4:15 AM or so. This is AFTER my original flight which I had booked for 1 AM was changed to 2:25 AM."

Cons: "Had a transit flight through KL from Colombo to Bali. The luggage was not with me and my friend along with about 7-10 others post arrival in Bali. We received the luggage after losing almost one day eating into our holiday. Minor compensation was given but the inconvenience was far more! This is not the KL to colombo flight but thought i will write it in here as I got this through Kayak"
Pros: "The korean spicy chicken was delicious!"
Cons: "The 2 male flight attendants who served our rows did not smile once. Very unfriendly and seemed like they just wanted to do the minimum. We were also extremely unhappy that during check in was advised that our seats were not allocated together when we booked the tickets together and are also Enrich frequent flyer members. We had to demand to speak to a manager for them to change our seats."

Cons: "On a 14 hour flight, we got food right after take off and then nothing until 7 hours later. Bring snacks for long flights! Minimal movie and tv selection too"

Cons: "They did not let me on the plane due to my middle name not being on my passport. This have never happened to me before in all my years of travel. Worse yet, Kayak (JustFly) did not give me any refund or change my flight. It was "their policy." I will never use JustFly or China Eastern again."

Cons: "Couldnt board plane because passport about to expired.i didnt know. I would love a full refund so I can go to Thailand in December and Vietnam in October."
Pros: "Boarding was fast and efficient. Flight was on time leaving and arriving. Meal service was efficient."
Cons: "Crew wasn't rude but wasn't overly friendly. They seemed responsive. A bit stingy on the drinks (I only had water and each time got only 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup). We pre-ordered vegetarian meals and they did supply them, but they got the orders wrong (we ordered different types of meals and only got one type). The biggest issue is the layover. China Eastern does not supply a hotel for long layovers. We applied from their website beforehand, but they canceled the hotel program. They did supply vouchers for food which was nice, but in Terminal 1 there is no resting lounge to lie down or clean up in, except for the VIP lounges which we didn't have access to."
Cons: "We traveled in business class there was a flight attendant that was very rude."
Cons: "We did not receive the seats we chose months prior when we originally booked. The crew was not engaged and unhelpful. There were no veggie options so we did not eat. We received buns and desert. Terrible service overall."

Accommodates us very well. Food was served hot. Had 2 choices always. My mum has low sodium diet that was ordered 2 days after booking. Her chicken was dry. Salmon was excellent. Food was always served first for her."
Cons: "Too long of a layover 13 hours especially for a 90plus old Lady .Seats were very uncomfortable. Thin padding. Did not use the entertainment video coming back. Too tired. Slept most of the flight. Did use video outbound. Good choices of movies."
Pros: "I like that it boarded on time and the crew were nice in giving us their vegetarian food seeing we failed to book it ahead of time."
Cons: "It was a bit hot inside, their was not constant service, the entertainment has been the same for awhile no updated movies, tv show, games etc and the food was not all tasty, serving just pork and shrimp is poor."

Cons: "Takeoff delayed by 5 hours. Airlines managers have to be upfront about the cause of delay. Do not make excuses. The immediate truth will serve you well. In this case was it in fact air traffic control saying fog on the ground making landing dangerous. The $20 food voucher help a little."

Cons: "Guangzhou to Beijing - departed 1 hour late Beijing to Xian - departed 20 minutes late Xian to Guangzhou - departed 1 hour & 10 minutes late. Guangzhou to Beijing - nice plane, entertainment system failed, crew couldn't fix. Crew had very strange rules about "safety", freaked out about my son wearing earbuds during takeoff. Xian to Guangzhou - weak entertainment options, cut off two different movies in the middle."

Cons: "The flight attendant crew was cold and I wish more water was offered throughout the flight. All of the movies were censored including missing scenes."
Pros: "If you can help it, do NOT travel on China Eastern. This is an airline that does NOT care about the passenger and does things the way they are done in communist dictatorships. My flight was from REP to PVG and then to ORD. The first leg (MU514) was delayed by 16 hrs - we were not told straight away about the length of the delay, every 2 hrs they would come up with a take off time and then delay it again. We spent the night at the airport - no food, no hotel. There were measely vouchers for a burger and a drink in the morning. We missed our onward flight and were delayed another 20 hrs in Shanghai. After queueing for hours we were given a hotel. A nightmare."

Pros: "Seats were okay. It wasn't a full flight so we had extra seats which made it more comfortable. Toilets were relatively clean except for the sinks which collected water when you wash your hands."
Cons: "Toilet sink needs to be checked as the water does not go down fast enough when washing hands. Food needs to be improved, it's edible but not very nice."
Cons: "Our flight was cancelled after sitting on the tarmac for one hour in a light drizzle. We were told the flight was cancelled due to bad weather. Then we were told "just wait in the airport for about 8 hours and maybe your flight will leave then." No comp for a hotel or food vouchers, just a boxed meal that I wouldn't touch. We finally boarded the next flight 8 hours later. Just one meal (if you can call it that) which was a box of cookies and candy, and was supposed to be breakfast! Terrible airline, I would never recommend!!!"
Cons: "Time was changed 5 times. 1 hour late then 2 hours late ..then 4 hours late...then suddenly it was on time. Then 15 mins late then 1 hour late"
