They had it done and back in my room before I returned. Beautiful room with amazing windows and a view of the city from the 7th floor balcony. I highly suggest you upgrade to a suite if at all possible. Very much worth the additional expense.

Cons: Room 1020 and 1021 have noise problems caused by metal knocking noises in ventilation system. I had to change rooms, unfortunately now next to party people, but my son stuck it out despite being woken up repeatedly by the noise. There are MANY weddings and reunions here.

Cons: The hotel rooms are kind of shabby. We were in a 1 bedroom suite which was nice but the furniture and decor wasn't very luxe. The lighting in the bathroom was terrible, and the marble floor was extremely slippery. There was no turn down service so lots of wet towels when we came back from dinner. Bugs in the bathtub, too. We stayed at the Four Seasons the night before and it was a spectacular for a very similar price.

Cons: The BATHROOM … don't think a tall or overweight person could use it because there was about a foot of space between the toilet and the sink cabinet (directly in front) with the bathtub butted right up against that. Understand that it's an older hotel - years back they might have had a bath down the hall but now it's in your room however, I've never seen a bathroom that short of space in a hotel. The sink cabinet had no function so a pedestal sink would have opened up that space a bit. Ours was a lower priced room. The one across the hall from us was bigger so, probably, the bath in that room had no issues.

Cons: Far away from everything as far as site seeing goes. Taxi and Uber every time you went somewhere. Cost $30-$40 per day for rides. Parking cost $52 per night plus 18% tax and that on top of a $24.74 facility fee. Absolutely ridiculous. If you don’t pay the parking fee you are left to find your own spot on a very crowded street. Room cost averaged $145 per night. Hotel food was bad and expensive.

Cons: I didn’t like the fact of the 25 dollar per night mandatory add on to use the internet etc, we were advised that we would get 2 bottles of water a day for this and coffee and wine during certain times. I thought that the water would have been in the room but no, we did have a glass of wine on the first day but it was only about 100ml! I would have much preferred to have had the option to use the internet or have the package rather than being told it mandatory. I also contacted the hotel over the cost to park a car over night I was advised it was 52 dollars per night but then on the bill there was also nearly 10dollars in tax on top of that which I was not advised on!

Cons: The checkin/out experience was unfriendly. The holding fee of $100 per night is exorbitant and it unreasonably returned to your card up to 4days following check out. The a/c unit was loud, we were even moved to another room to address this but unfortunately this is an issue throughout. A small note, plastic cups were packaged in plastic bags in the gym, recyclable paper cups to replace these may be one way the Hilton could reduce its carbon footprint.

We reported this to the front desk and our door was fixed afterwards. There was a coffee splatter stain on the wall behind the bathroom door that was there when we arrived and when we left.

It was indeed a living room, with a TV, a minibar with complimentary drinks, a coffee machine, milk, tea, fruit and snacks as mentioned, as well as computers, printer/copy machines, outlets, large tables for meetings, small tables and confortable chairs for loafing and have a chat. On each floor there was a practical water dispenser. The position of the hotel was also notable, a few minutes by foot from the area of the White House and close to a metro station. Wifi was good. The staff was kind and helpful. The deposit of our luggages on our last day in Washington DC, after the check-out, was free of charge. The check-in and check-out were fast and automatic thanks to a device in the lobby that processed them automatically - by the way a kind member of the staff was present to help. Excellent value for money. I recommend this hotel to anybody and if I were back to Washington DC, I'm 100% sure I'd opt again for CQ Hotel.

If I really have to write something here, I would refer to the air conditioning system that was not so intuitive, and also to a draught in the bathroom that was just a bit annoying (I know it was for air circulation reasons, but after having a shower it wasn't very pleasant). I also remember that we had some issues with the TV, which restored suddenly, a couple of times.

Cons: I had only one negative experience and that was on the day of my departure. The check-out time in this hotel is at noon (12:00 p.m.), which I planned to abide, actually I planned to leave at about 10:45 a.m. (which I eventually did). However, before I left at 10:45 a.m. I was twice disturbed by maids who wanted to enter the room and clean it up, while I was in the middle of my packing and preparing to leave. First they came at 8:30 a.m. and then again at 10:30 a.m. (although I told them already at 8:30 a.m. during their first visit that I am checking-out). I did not understand why they wanted to make the room ready for next customer while the outgoing customer was still in.

Cons: For the cost there is no much to not like. The mini apartment is small and had some old like smell that i attribute to the carpet. Again cost wise you cannot expect more and it’s really good option for a week stay.. for longer i would look for bigger apartments away from manhattan as the subway works really good to move around

Crab bisque too. Just terrible. Sliders were ok. Pre ordered room service for breakfast, never came. Went downstairs to the dining room, walked around for 5 minutes and couldn't find anyone to help me. I just needed some food. Non existent. Someone at the desk eventually brought be a croissant but it was much too little and much to late. Just poorly trained people with little or no management. This hotel is too nice for lousy F&B. Figure it out. I was in F&B in hotels for years, it's not the hard.

Pros: We liked the location, but the hotel was not like we remembered. Too impersonal in greeting us, very little info on the hotel amenities, no info on paper in the room to advise us. We don't like to have to use apps. We did like that we were able to get rooms near each other, but we had been told we would have adjoining rooms and when we got there, they were very far apart. The desk clerk did get us closer, but not adjoining. That was a small thing, though. The room was on the executive floor, but the lighting was awful, could not read. I was embarrassed on behalf of the rest of my family, as I had recommended this place to family. I won't do that again.

Cons: Do see above. So impersonal when we checked in. I remember this Hilton as a welcoming place with a great bar. We did go to the bar the first night. I ordered a lemon drop martini. When it arrived, it had salt on the rim, not sugar -- ruined the entire drink. When the waiter finally came back, he did take it off the bill, but we were ready to leave. The room was smaller than I recall rooms being. The view was lovely, large windows are nice, but there was really no place in the room to sit comfortably, except the bed. I do expect more from an expensive hotel on the executive floor.

Pros: Nice hotel in a very central and convenient location in downtown Washington DC. Price was good, which might have to do with the fact the property was undergoing renovations. In the booking confirmation it stated these renovations were to the public spaces only, whereas it turned out almost all room floors were being renovated. When we brought up this issue with the manager, he was very kind and service-minded and proposed an acceptable resolution. I would surely come back to this place!

Cons: Water bottles available in the room for $4.00 each. This is ridiculous. Most hotels offer free bottled water. If you can't offer them for free, don't provide them at all. There are plenty of places to buy water within a stone's throw and at a much lower cost.
