    Restaurants,

Judy at guest services was rude to me and to my sister when she called in. She did not follow up with the request we both asked her. She was impatient, acted bothered that she had to answer phone and unwilling to go the extra mile. I would not hire someone like Judy in guest service. Maybe back of the house would be more appropriate.

I liked the design of the room and the impressive building. The front desk staff were friendly, so were the people in the bar and the cafe. The private areas and the restaurant on the second floor were my favourites.

The lobby was a bit dark during the day to my liking and a too noisy at night. I would also prefer to drink the Nespresso coffee in my room from a proper cup of china. There was a whole in the bed sheet. Not something you would expect in a hotel of this standard and price.

The staff was just beautiful people and so helpful they made our stay feel like home.

That I didn't get to stay longer. Thank you for the most incredible day.

Fantastic building, nice room and a high quality gym open 24 hours was hugely appreciated when still trying to adjust to the time zone. The quality of the food was high and the restaurant was supreme. Overall the staff went above and beyond to help, support and make for a lovely stay.

Breakfast was only available from 06:30 which when combined with no 24 hour room service meant that it caused time pressure when leaving early for meetings.

About

Overview

Hailed as the “Hippest Hotel” in town, The Line Hotel offers a unique experience in the modern and young D.C neighborhood of Adams Morgan. Built in 1912, the classic First Church of Christ, Scientist building now houses 212 guest rooms.

The Line Hotel building honors the original design throughout including a pipe organ chandelier, cheekily named drinks, and church-inspired decor. The uniqueness of the building is felt the moment guests enter the lobby which also houses Brother & Sisters-a bar and grill, the Cup We All Race 4- a coffee shop, and Full Service Radio- a podcast-recording studio and live Internet radio station. Staying true to the local area is part of the Line’s brand. The guest rooms are modeled after a typical millennial studio in Washington D.C. With world-class chefs staffing the two eateries, room service is also available. Another restaurant and bar, A Rake’s Bar and A Rake’s Progress, recently opened on the second floor.

In contrast to some D.C. area hotels, the Line Hotel serves as a mixing ground for tourists and locals. With a community center for locals, the Concierge is knowledgeable and ready to help vacationers explore both the tourist destinations and uncover local favorites. While the atmosphere is geared toward millennials and hip adults, the luxurious comforts of a home appeal to everyone.
