Summary of reviews
Guests say
Most guests praised the hotel's excellent, central location and the friendliness of the staff. Many appreciated the comfortable rooms and convenient access to public transport and local attractions. However, some reviews noted issues with cleanliness, outdated rooms, and amenities such as malfunctioning safes, lack of refrigerators, and inconsistent housekeeping. While the atmosphere and bar were positively mentioned, there were complaints about value for money and noise in some rooms. Overall, the location and service stood out as the hotel's strongest points.AI-generated from customer reviews

Pros (+) Solid hotel for professionals and tourists. Perfect location and excellent service.
Cons (-) The bar prices are high, as in most hotels.
Pros (+) All the staff were incredibly helpful and courteous!
Pros (+) On my way to the hotel I received a call from the staff of the hotel who informed me my room was upgraded to a suite. This room was FANTASTIC -- great amenities, plenty of space, clean, and a terrific view of Dupont Circle and the National Cathedral that's a mile away. The best hotel experience in DC by far.
Pros (+) Very upscale looking hotel
Cons (-) The A/C was on blast. Too cold in the common public areas. Like arctic cold. Uncomfortable. Also the lighting in the room was totally insufficient. Very dim and dark. Opening the windows didn't help because we were in a room on the inside part of the hotel which faced the other wall of the building.
Pros (+) Great location. Staff very attentive.
Cons (-) The bathroom doors do not go to the ceiling. Saloon style doors. A little awkward for privacy.
Pros (+) Clean rooms and great staff.
Cons (-) The bathroom privacy was not ideal given we were in a two queen bed room with our teenage daughter.
Pros (+) The neighborhood had a little of everything for you whithin short walk distance. Was nice to have the calm of the neighborhood but close enough to get into the hustle of the downtown area.
Cons (-) The housekeeping staff spent more times in the hall on their phones texting and talking. We left our rooms around 10a and when we returned around 4:30 Our room had not yet been cleaned. Before we left for dinner we called and asked that our room be refreshed and housekeeping said they would be right up. They never came. I did say something to the front desk at check out - her response was "oh, tha...

Pros (+) The only thing I can really say is that the location of this hotel room is right in the middle of everything. An the shower was great
Cons (-) Where do I start, first off the rooms don't match the picture online. The staff there is very rude. The only way I was able to get any help from them was to ask to speak to the manager. The beds there look like something from 1980's . There is no door on the bathroom so if you want to us the bathroom if you have family, friends with you you have to use the lobby bathroom. The parking fee for this p...
