Pros: Good Hotel but not good value for what you pay. We were under the impression the buffet breakfast was included based on what we were told by one of the staff only to see a $62 charge on my invoice for 2 people. After inquiring i was told no continental breakfast was included and i had to pay up. Also $56 for valet parking is a little too much i think. Nice place but too pricey for what they deliver. would not stay again.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful and it's in a great location. The bathrooms and rooms are very nice and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The hotel itself is frustrating. The AC in my room went out twice. If you plan on eating at the hotel bring a hefty checkbook or go out to the city to eat because there's absolutely no value here.

Pros: Nice room set up with a large table for dinning. Great shower and toiletries. Excellent hotel restaurant.
Cons: at check in, was given a wrong room (but this was quickly remedied after I called) the hot rob in the pool area was closed for maintenance no licker rooms in the pool area.

Pros: Very upscale looking hotel
Cons: The A/C was on blast. Too cold in the common public areas. Like arctic cold. Uncomfortable. Also the lighting in the room was totally insufficient. Very dim and dark. Opening the windows didn't help because we were in a room on the inside part of the hotel which faced the other wall of the building.

Pros: The hotel is perfectly located room are spacious and quiet. I loved the books in the room and also the mini bar items. The bathroom have everything you need and the heating system is on the floor I loved it
Cons: Room service menu is quite expensive and don't offer super healthy options but I guess I could have had dinner outside so in case you are planning to order room service be aware of that

Pros: Great beds, bedding, white noise from fans, slept great despite busy urban street noise.
Cons: The shower was the worst, I'm so over these low-flow shower heads, the pressure seems to be getting worse and worse--even in high-end 4 & 5 star hotels. Small glass partition and no door on shower.

Pros: All the staff were incredibly helpful and courteous!
Cons:

Pros: Great location. Nice bar/lounge. Clean, professional and friendly staff.
Cons: They added a $25 "facility fee" at check in. Was not part of the booking.com price so it felt little deceiving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel, the only US property of an English boutique chain, is an absolute gem. This is my second stay and the lobby and rooms are very nice. Most importantly, the staff is extremely warm and congenial.
Cons: I would like some USB ports in the room, both at desk and at bedside; currently they have neither. I also stopped by the bar, on my own, and found the table service to be poor. But these don’t detract from an otherwise terrific stay.

Pros: The hotel was just perfect. Location, value, and room. If you are visiting Georgetown, D.C., and the White House then this is the place for you. Right next to all the main areas and very easy to get to.
Cons: I would have enjoyed it if they greeted guests with a drink, helped with the bags, and maybe put a treat in the room. Also, I don't think there's a cafe or a place to grab a snack in the lobby but still was a great experience.

Pros: What a beautiful hotel. The staff was great. The room was really nice.
Cons: The A/C must be some new environmentally safe thing because it never got cool enough for me. The shower took about 10 minutes to get hot enough - then it was plenty hot. I suspect these are "green devices" in the hotel.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location was good. Pleasant doormen.
Cons: Terrible parking situation. Overcharging for parking. Too many fees and taxes. Water in bathroom very noisy. Had to sleep on couch as hotel could not help with getting room with two beds. Food in restaurant terrible with too much salt. 20% tip mandatory.

Pros: Great location for our sons awards ceremony at the DAR. The bar and dining were both very good.

Pros: Staff was very friendly. Great location.
Cons: The motion detector on the air conditioning system made it impossible to sleep for more than two hours. The A/C would cut off and the room would warm up to the point I would wake up. The pillows were very uncomfortable as well. Otherwise, a great hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great!
Cons: We booked a king bed room and were told they did not have any king size rooms available. This was disappointing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great lication
Cons: Was not given room we booked, had to return to the front desk
4.0 Okay
Pros: The location was good for the things we wanted to see and was near some good restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful but the amenities were nonexistant.
Cons: We requested a room with a roll-away and it was confirmed by the hotel. When we checked in we went to a room that had no room for a roll-away. They offered us another room. That room ALSO didn't have room for a roll-away. We finally ended up in the SIXTH room. I was traveling with an elderly person and the moving was a hardship for her. The delay caused us to miss dinner at a favorite local restaurant as they closed while we were changing rooms FIVE times. No minibar, limited room service, no hotel snack shop -- only a fancy bar. The offerings were less than I'd expect at a midlevel chain.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The building location, reception staff, cleaning staff, porter/door man & great Christmas declarations.
Cons: The food - only went for a snack & drink on the first evening. Tried the cheese broad - the crusty bread was burnt and rock hard. An end of cheese block was also severed. When we complained, the waiter said yep the bread is hard, you can only eat the middle section - no reduction in price or an offer of anything else, he just walked away. So we did not eat anything else in the hotel - breakfast , lunch or dinner. We had rude people staying in the next room to us - banging and shouting at 12, 2 am, & 4 am & over the two nights we stayed. Not an hotel issue, but not making for a enjoyable stay over all.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice sized clean room, overall clean hotel.

Pros: Great Location and overall hotel experience.
Cons: None.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Decent size room
Cons: The check-in time was incorrect, I arrived at the 3pm which is the check in time advertised on the hotel conformation. The hotel said that checkin was at 4pm. I did not get a room till 4:30, I missed my birthday dinner reservation.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved receiving wine and champagne from the front desk because it was our anniversary.
Cons: Thought you could have a bigger restaurant, it would have been nice to to had a small coffee bar with fresh baked treats.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room itself was nice and a great size. A desk and a 65" TV with two sitting area chairs.

Pros: Hotel is not far from the Dupont Metro station. Room itself was nice. Layout had a separate sitting area, which would be nice for someone staying for a more extended period or traveling with someone. European breakfast was nice too.

Cons: The listing did not prominently explain the resort fee of $30/ My own preference would be to fold that fee into the room rate.I forgot to put the "privacy please" door hanger and on the morning of check out, housekeeping knocked on my door four times within a half hour even though I had said I was checking out/leaving the room at 12 noon.

Pros: Location and overall aesthetic.
Cons: Our room was not ready when we arrived. The windows were dirty with fingerprints, the blinds were broken & not functioning. The staff would not take accountability and we had people in and out of our room for the first 3.5 hours of our stay. Awful!

6.0 Good
Pros: Size of the room
Cons: No breakfast included. This is a well located hotel, the fact that they do not offer free parking is unsettling. Also, a charge of $45 dollars a night is pretty steep. Maybe you could also offer information about where yo park if the guests don't wish to pay such high prices.

Pros: Location was perfect. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend it for friends.
Cons: They lack staff at night. A minor problem i encountered was that a car was registered in our room and almost got us charged for using vallet/parking. They should have verified it first before they let the car parked under my name. overall, for an overnight stay was good.

Pros: We travelled from India and had little cash and prepaid card. We had paid one night fee in advance and our stay was for 4 nights. And our card was not getting accepted in the machine used by the hotel. And we had our things locked up in the room. As we returned back from our first stay training we were greeted with hotel personnel that we would not be allowed to check in again unless until we pay the bill for the next 3 nights. We did explain our position and requested if they could allow us to check us in so that we could make arrangement for the money to be paid for the next 3 nights or if we could be allowed to pay one night more and the rest later. But they did not allow us even to take our wallets from the room. On of our team members was having stomach ache. And the hotel personnel by name Maurice was so inconsiderate and even made a discriminatory remark. Quite inconsiderate. We had a tough time paying that with the resources we had in hand at that time. I who had took responsibility of the team is finding it hard to sort out things with the team inspite of having put the best efforts.

Pros: This property was convenient to where we needed to be in DC and the hotel was unique and had a cool design.

Pros: Lovely vintage hotel which has been renovated.

Pros: The breakfast was complete - with eggs, bacon, sausages, fruit (mixed) and good coffee! Service was also excellent!
Cons: Generally, everything was fine. There were no particular negative issues to mention. However, a more rounded dinner menu would made a difference. Had dinner outside the hotel every night.

7.4 Good
Pros: Room was very clean
Cons: Perhaps I didn’t read enough fine print. But I was surprised to see the add on charge of $42 to park my car . I didn’t see the fee until checkout time.
6.3 Good
Pros:
Cons: I paid more than the price indicated in the email. According to the booking website, we were meant to pay 194 dollars. They charged me 310 dollars including the parking. 200+ dollars for the room (I paid for an additional tax), and I think 70 for the parking plus tax, but the difference from the advertised price is still way far from the actual price. I told the staff about the email and the price indicated from your website, but the concierge told me that the price in the website isn't the actual price of the room, so I ended up paying more. I could've looked for a different hotel myself that would give me an actual cheaper price, but i opted to trust the information from your website which made me spend more.

Pros: Hotel was across the street from my conference at the Washington Hilton, for way less money. Room and amenities clean. Painting decor funny in hall ways with colonial figures with animal heads. Only bad thing I have to say: They had a restaurant lounge which was pretty good. They took a pretty long time imo to make a salmon fillet considering there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant that were already served (maybe 35 minutes?). Not a huge deal, but fish was slightly burnt on one side, and having a late 9pm dinner and waiting until 9:35-9:40pm to eat was annoying in my sleepy, hungry state of mind. But I did not try the restaurant again as I did not want to waste any time...maybe the Churchill will take note?

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was a great size along with TV and bathroom. Facilities in the room were good with everything we needed. There were some local shops close by which helped and the neighborhood felt safe. 15 min walk into Georgetown and about 15mins to get to Lincoln memorial, so well placed.
Cons: Hotel was nice, though undergoing renovations to change brand, so was a bit of scaffolding around and no bar or restaurant available. Tea/Coffee making in the room could have also helped - esp as there was not restaurant available.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: good location
Cons: construction work is in progress at the hotel, and no one is informed about it. In the rooms is concrete, the photo does not correspond to reality
5.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: No coffee maker in the room Did not look like the pictures on the website Front desk lady had an attitude
1.0 Poor
Pros: The location was the only good part about this Hotel. Will never be using again - the description is not real. The Hotel offers none of these amenities.
Cons: Hotel completely under construction.should not be open for business. It was not advertised appropriately.Very dirty had urine and fecal mater in the toilet upon arrival.AC broke 3 times, extremely noisy, had no stairs due to construction(hazard)& much more
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was fine, and decorated nicely enough
Cons: Avoid, avoid, avoid. A disappointment from start to finish. What the site doesn't tell you is that the hotel is going through renovations, so the lobby is a building site (with exposed girders and plastic sheeting everywhere), there's no lobby space downstairs and you will be woken up at 8:30am on a weekend by loud drilling and hammering. Further to this, the state of cleanliness and repair in the hallways is very poor (how hard is it to vacuum a carpet?) and the walls between rooms are paper thin. I could hear every word of a woman next door having a tedious telephone conversation, at volume. Overall, the images on the site make The Wink look like a modern design hotel, with a lot of the interiors / furnishings remniscent of The Hoxton in London or The Ace Hotel in New York. However, the execution is cheap and disappointing at every turn. Examples of this of this include the room door that needed to be slammed to close properly, meaning you could easily leave it open by accident, or the toiletries that felt like cheap dollar-store refills. The exposed concrete floors are trying to trendy but without a proper polish they just look unfinished, a good analogy The Wink as a whole. Finally, while the hotel is being renovated and re-launched as 'The Hangout', be wary - I suspect many of the reasons I didn't enjoy my stay at The Wink will carry over into the 'new' hotel. A Holiday Inn would have been cheaper and would have had thicker walls at least.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Other than checkin process i like everything.
Cons: I dont like the checkin proccess because they dont have the facility to pay cash only credit and debit card was allowed for payment.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, newly refurbished rooms.
Cons: Gym not refurbished. Lobby was under refurbishment but i wasn't notified prior to my stay.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location, in room amenities was good.
Cons: It's still a nder renovation. Didn't pose a problem for me, but maybe for others.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was newly renovated and clean. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I asked for a water heater in my room so I could prepare a tea, and they arranged one. They have small night lights near the bed, great detail!
Cons: The hotel is in the midst of renovations so the restaurant and gym were closed and the lobby was a bit of a building place. It would have been nice to know beforehand. BUT, I stayed in the Wink before, and rooms have improved a lot since! A few minor recommendations to the hotel management regarding the new rooms: - Make a water cooker/coffee maker a standard item. For me it is the difference! - There is no power outlet near the desk which is inconvenient when working with a laptop - I would choose another type of wardrobe. My clothes were touching my suitcase all the time. Please remember some of your guest are female and carry longer dresses. I also would prefer a closed wardrobe. - A makeup mirror would be nice (the one if the fixed mirror does not do the job) - Lightning can be improved greatly. The room is very dark, especially with the dominant brown furniture. - I asked reception if the floor was temporary, and I understand I was not the first guest to act. Although I do not mind the industrial look, you should never combine it with a carpet, and a concrete floor with gaps and holes feels a bit like a building place. - The AC was very noisy, and I never got it to work properly - My television was not connecting to the network (I know I could have asked reception, but I did not find it very important)

Pros: We recieved a complementary suite upgrade which was unexpected and lovely. However we had to switch rooms due to a strong smell of gas coming from the fire place. We were moved to a smaller suite. During diner the waiter was very busy and it took about 15-20 minutes to even put in a drink order. Other than that the staff was excellent and accommodating. Very helpful for site seeing questions I had. The rooms were very clean and we loved being up high to see a lot of the city. We will definitely return for our next visit!

Pros: The location of the Hotel is fantastic, it is close to everything important or within reach by public transportation. The staff was helpful with my request.
Cons: We got a room with a heating device that was working as loud as a tractor. However, the staff immediately removed us upon request to a nice room with proper heating system.
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: "Queen" room contained a much smaller bed. My feet were hanging off this thing. Staff lied up and down this was a queen bed but finally agreed to give me a longer bed "as a one-time exception". Shower was mounted so low I had to duck. I'm 6'2", no giant.

Cons: Do not order the continental breakfast. Is not worthy. The fruit is not good.
