Pros: The breakfast was set up in buffet style. Although the selection may not be like those of 5-star chain hotels but it was adequate and bread and pastries (all said to be made fresh by hotel staff) were very good. Other food choices were of good quality so I would say they have done very well. Free coffee to go.
Cons: My husband like part of the "raw" design of the room although I myself don't. The hotel was very good except that we didn't realize we were visiting during the Canadian Thanksgiving long-weekend holiday so a lot of restaurants and shops are closed. Left with very little dining choices close by and the hotel café seems to be closed too, so had to go to a nearby hotel for lunch/dinners.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Great location. Close to the CN Tower and Rodgers Center. Good continental breakfast. Comfortable bed.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great. Close to the station and within walking distance of the CN Tower, Rogers Centre and the Harbour front. There was also a large supermarket in the mall next to the hotel so it was convenient for snacks. The staff were friendly and helpful and always on hand. The room was extremely comfortable and after a day of walking the bed was so welcoming. A nice touch was the daily evening visit to offer chocolates and water and the ample supply of green apples which were available at various points throughout the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cannot compliment the hotel enough.
Cons: No negatives.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We were pleasantly surprised by the size and standard of the room, while the added bonus of the coffee making facilities was great! Staff were excellent, friendly and so very helpful too!
Good 6.7
Cons: Breakfast was late, cold and not what we ordered. Which is a little depressing for 500$/night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, location, location. Breakfast was great, people were VERY friendly, loved that there was a grocery store in the basement!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was spot on
Cons: The ac in the rooms did not work
Excellent 10.0

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Modern, very clean, staff incredible from getting us the room we wanted to recommending a superb restaurant.
Cons: That we could only stay two nights.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Unbeatable location, comfort and clean room.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location, Location, Location. Staying on the Botel in the marina was a great experience. To be in the city but feel like you're not. Walking distance to all major atractions. The area along the water is wonderful with gardens and park like setting. The hosts were fantastic. We stayed in the suite that was roomy and the bed was very comfortable. The boat itself is just beautiful.
Cons: There was nothing not to like. Great host, Beautifull boat. Great location.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: My husband and I just spent 5 nights on the Boatel, it was a truly unforgettable experience. We had a gorgeous ensuite cabin which was spotless and very comfortable. Diane provided us with maps, tour guides, travel passes and lots of useful tips on where to visit and eat etc. Diane’s breakfast were quirky, delicious and always presented with the flair of a first class chef. Captain Ted joined us for breakfast and shared in the banter, he mesmerised us with his tales about his travels in the Bahamas and far flung places. The Boatel was docked in the best entertainment district of Downtown Toronto, close to the CN tower and other local attractions and with a beautiful view of the Toronto Islands. The Boatel was air conditioned and Diane provides an honesty bar which was well stocked. We would definitely recommend this floating delight to anyone wishing to visit Toronto.
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like only having to leave
Excellent 9.2
Pros: The boatel is in a really good location. Near you find a lot of things to do and visit also. Is comfortable, the place and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Is strange to sleep in a boat but is a good experience.
Cons: All is really good. But the only thing is the space of the room. You fit in the room and that’s all. But is really good just to sleep in the nights and do something in the mornings
Excellent 10.0
Pros: the atmosphere, our hosts, ideal location, the chance for getting bikes, lovingly prepared breakfast, the offer to participate in a small boat cruise
Cons: -
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything was perfect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Each morning we enjoyed a delicious home-made breakfast looking out upon the marina, park and public boardwalk. The ever-changing sights and sounds were fascinating. We loved watching runners and dog-walkers, harbor boats and kayakers, seabirds and sunrises, the CN Tower and Toronto's skyline.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was located in the heart of the city, making many attractions and restaurants within easy walking distance. Diane & Ted were very helpful with suggestions about where to go, what to see, etc. And they were able to provide discount tickets to many things. On top of it all, the breakfasts were absolutely amazing - something new and delicious every morning. We are definitely planning to revisit next year.
Cons: It was a minor inconvenience carrying the luggage from the parking area, which was about a quarter mile from the boat.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: the breakfast was v good, Diane's own recipes. The location was excellent although our taxi driver made it a long trip to the address we gave - the Boatel is just where it says on the web and on the lake side of Queens Quay St W opposite Starbucks. The accommodation was cozy but very comfortable. The icing on the cake were the Blue Jay tickets, and they won!
Cons: Not Diane and Teds fault, but if we were to go again we would avoid public holidays, the lake front is just so busy.
Excellent 8.3
Pros: The owners are very friendly and will provide tips and information on the city. Their hospitality is uncommon in our days. Though, Breakfast was composed of fruits, vegetables and gluten free, lactose free ingredients, according our request, the owners are very flexible.

Excellent 9.1
Pros: Facilities were excellent, room was comfortable and quiet. Bellmen and Valets were quiet good. Clerks were efficient—with billing error quickly corrected.
Cons: Shortly after arriving we wandered into the library restaurant. There was a sign that said: “Wait to be Seated.” We did so and the hostess asked our Room number and we complied. We were seated and we proceeded to the serve yourself area with plates in hand and a few items on our plate when we were informed by a gentleman that we were not eligible for that restaurant. We said we were sorry and proceeded to return the plates with food on them. We secured our belongings from the table and left. A small sign would have been quite helpful where we entered saying the restaurant had restrictions on who could be seated. We had not been the hotel long at the time and I later read in a publication that restaurant had restrictions. There were no signs posted in the hotel that I could find regarding restaurants that explained the situation. I don’t want to blow this out of proportion but it was somewhat embarrassing.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The hotel is magnificent- stylish and in a superb position overlooking the Lake. Bedrooms are tasteful and well equipped with excellent quality bedding, great coffee maker and fridge. Just the perfect hotel room with a huge window overlooking the Lake. Great bathroom with L’Occitane products.
Cons: I really couldn’t find anything to dislike.
Excellent 8.2
Pros: Rooftop pool on the 28th floor was amazing!
Cons: Honestly, we're booked and paid for a room with 3 guests, but everything from soap and shampoo to bathrobes and coffee cups for the Nespresso machine were for only 2 people. We had to call and request extra supplies.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great hotel with excellent staff and amazing views of downtown Toronto.
Okay 4.8
Pros: Clean, modern hotel. Staff very friendly, helpful. Nice amenities in the room: coffee, milk, water, lights, etc.
Cons: Hard to figure out room - controls difficult to find, shower uncomfortable, not enough storage space in room. Hotel is in a deserted wasteland with no restaurants and 1 coffee shop in a mile radius. Toronto is in the middle of a lock-out with the A/V union at the next-door convention center, so every 6:15 am we were woken up by someone shouting through a megaphone at the hotel, saying we should be ashamed of ourselves.
Excellent 9.1
Pros: Rooftop pool Rooms Amenities
Cons: Inexperienced bar staff uneven food offerings

Excellent 10.0
Pros: If I return to Toronto I will definitely stay here again. The only negative aspect is the noise (from the street). But if you wish to stay in the center right on Yonge street I think it is difficult to find something quieter. Nevertheless it was not a nuisance.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It was PERFECT a must, get the penthouse top level, massive space great location. It requires two Doors to get into the building and than a further swipe to get to the top. It was safe modern clean
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very friendly staff. Business office. Extra touchs like cookies and mineral water. Real milk for the tea. Security building. Paintings and other decor. Cozy beds. Wrap around balcony. Close to shopping mall. Quiet.
Cons: Nothing!!!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It is a very comfortable and very clean suite. I'm familiar with Toronto so I knew the Yonge Street location was very convenient for me and the event I was attending. I really enjoyed staying there and definitely plan to return. I only wish they had more locations in other cities. It is a great place to stay!
Excellent 9.6
Pros: The suite has a living room with a kitchen, a separate sleeping room and two bath rooms. There is a desk with an additional screen. The location is superb, in the middle of the center. Staff is very friendly and will help you with directions.
Cons: There is a great well equipped kitchen but it is very hard to find a decent grocery store in the center of Toronto. The wide variety of restaurants in the neighborhood make it easy to decide not to cook ;-)
Excellent 9.6
Pros: I was surprised to receive a whole apartment with a lounge, kitchen, second bathroom/toilet for the price of a hotel room. The complimentary coffee, biscuits, water and even washing powder were appreciated. Everything is very comfortable and the location is excellent, right in downtown Toronto.
Cons: Having to leave
Excellent 9.6
Pros: My stay was awesome. It was quite and peaceful. No noise at all. I was mostly away all day during week day. So I can’t say the same about outside noise.
Cons: There’s nothing I can think of that I didn’t like.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The customer service
Cons: The toilet
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The best thing about this hotel was the staff. Every person we came in contact with was so friendly and helpful. It was amazing.
Cons: For the price, and this could take into the prices for hotels in the area, I didn't think that the room was worth the price. The view was ok and the overall hotel room was ok. Not fantastic which is what I would expect for the price point.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Service, Location, quality of food in a bar and restaurant, touches of luxury, elegance
Cons: iPad in the room was customized into not being iPad at all. Why misleadingly call it iPad? TV cable practically didn’t work (poor signal) - couldn’t watch movie or sports . Next time should take along an Apple TV or some such and just watch
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Perfectly located, beautiful hotel with wonderful service.
Cons: I was asked at check in, if I would mind not having a bathtub. They should have asked if I minded a wheelchair accessible room to be completely transparent.
Excellent 9.7
Pros: Great hotel goos staff

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel was lovely and the staff was so incredibly amazing. We traveled with our 1 year old and know it can be tough to have young and unruly hotel guests. They were so welcoming and made us feel like we were the only guests at the hotel.

Pros: guest breakfast was excellent and private to stay in guests, variety of food with eggs, carbs, fruits, yoghurt, sausage and bacon was amazing.
Cons: coffee at the inclub breakfast could have been better. I like my coffee dark roast and strong.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful. It’ was my anniversary weekend. I requested to have balloons and roses in my room. The staff decorated the whole room beautifully. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who had to celebrate something. Excellent services.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was great
Cons: Very well kept
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I loved everything in the hotel, their service was amazing, very friendly staff. The room service was perfect, the rooms were cleaned a lot of times during the day and it’s like a service I’ve not seen before. The spa is probably the best in Toronto with everything you could ever need, massage, sauna, steam bath, jacuzzis, salted pool and lots of treatments. The club lounge is perfect with the best service.
Cons: Nothing.
Poor 1.0
Pros: The pool
Cons: We were going to the taylor swift concert are Room was not ready way past our check in time of two hours past check in . The restaurant food was overpriced and substandard. I've stayed at a few ritz Carleton's and have was great this was terrible

Pros: Room layout, lighting, bathroom & view
Cons: HVAC - too warm without windows that open
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Hotel is excellent! All staff, amenities and location very, very good. Penny in the bar is fabulous!
Cons: Can't think of anything!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: As soon as I arrived , I was greeted with a warm welcome where I felt like I was home away from home. I told the concierge that it was my first time in Toronto and he upgraded our room to the lake side view. When I got to the room, I saw why he had upgraded to the Lake view was even more incredible than I had imagine

Excellent 10.0
Pros: From the moment you arrive, you are aware you are in a special place. The understated luxury and the attentive but discrete staff mean you can enjoy your stay in the knowledge everything you need is at your fingertips while enjoying as much privacy as you need. The wood-paneled design theme is carried through the hotel from the lobby to your room, which is a haven from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Do ask for a quiet room though as the noise of Toronto's condo construction boom can interrupt the tranquility in some areas (a problem not unique to Le Germain). But the hotel has even thought of that. It helpfully provides ear plugs in the bedrooms for those who are sleep-challenged. It's just one of the many little and big touches that make this hotel an oasis in the entertainment district of Canada's largest city, just a short distance from Toronto's island airport served by the Porter airline.
Cons: 1. Super staff who don't get "in your face" 2. Understated charm of hotel with thoughtful design touches 3. FantastIc bedrooms with plenty of space (judging by our room) 4. Convenient location in Toronto's downtown theatre district and close to waterfront
Good 6.0
Pros: Rooms need a refresh.
Good 7.5
Pros: The rooms were large and the service was great.
Cons: The breakfast could have been better - warm breakfast wasn't included for breakfast despite me paying for breakfast
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Well designed room: Junior Suite on 7th floor. Very comfortable bed (and I am very fussy!). Excellent modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Nespresso machine. Comfortable sectional sofa. Large desk and a proper desk chair and light. Filtered water container on the floor.
Cons: A container for used tea bags. Independent wall switches for bedroom and lounge area. A night light in the toilet (why is it that hotels do not think about this?) or a dimmer on the bathroom overhead lights would have been appreciated. Smoothies on the buffet breakfast menu and non-grain, vegetable options other than fruit.
Good 7.9
Pros: I recommended others to select the hansgrohe. And I think Germain can assist Templar Hotel on Adelaide to upgrade the shower, curtains and telephone selections.
Cons: I had neck and back pain after the 501 mattress and extremely soft pillows.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff was friendly and helpful
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Perfect downtown location, in walking distance to lots of attractions. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Super comfortable beds and big room.

Good 7.0
Pros: It was nice to have a restaurant in the hotel where the food was amazing.
Cons: For the price, it wouldnt hurt to clean the grout in the shower and replace the scratched worn table and not have a fridge on the floor in a random spot.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The soaking tub
Cons: The room was a little small
Excellent 8.5
Cons: I like the city view
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It's always clean and very well decorated. Nice classy place with very pleasant staff. And I love that they have cucumber water in the lobby and apples and bananas in the gym. All the little extra touches make it really worthwhile.
Cons: Nothing to dislike it's an excellent hotel
Good 7.1
Pros: Everything was satisfactory except for the last night there when our television broke and couldn't be fixed by their Marriot technician.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Loved the view from our room (35th Floor). The staff was very friendly. The room accommodations were great as well.
Cons: Finding the parking!!! We saw a parking garage but there was no Delta sign to enter. We spent the next 30 minutes or more stuck in traffic and we got lucky to find the other parking area. There should be a sign on that parking garage!!!
Excellent 10.0

Cons: No

Pros: The staff are very courteous, the Char bar staff are well versed in mixology, the rooftop addition is classy, and the hotel is in close proximity to some really fun places including the CN tower, Rogers Centre, the aquarium, and the Steam Whistle Brewery!
Cons: The towels were okay but we would have preferred them to be larger and softer.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Convenient to the train. Big, well-appointed rooms with a nice view of the city. (I had a corner, which was especially nice.) Even the pool has a great city view. Fantastic breakfast.

Excellent 8.8
Pros: Location, cleanliness
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Great staff. perfect location. Fantastic price and amazing room. Loved it.
Cons: Bed was a bit short.. lol
Excellent 10.0
Pros: I love the area. So many things to do within walking distance.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Close to scotiabank place and amazing deal!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Spacious room with comfy big bed, kitchen appliances, bathtub and shower are seperated. The hotel is really elegant and has luxurious vibe.
Cons: Our flight was in the evening and we couldn't check out later than 11:00 in the morning. The hotel charges additional 50 dollars until 13:00 and 100 dollars until 15:00. Unreal. So we just left our luggage in the storage provided.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: everything
Cons: one front desk staff......seemed a little snobby
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Central location. Clean and comfortable rooms. No complaints!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The place had a nice kitchenette, with even a washing machine and a dishwasher. Although I was only there for a couple of days, I can imagine it's excellent for traveling with family or a long-term stay. The staff, including the cleaning staff, were all super nice.
Cons: Everything was great.
Excellent 10.0
Cons: It was perfect
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Good fitness centre. All good
Cons: Elevators a bit slow, but that would not stop me staying again.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location. Very clean & friendly staff.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Staff was super friendly and helpful. In suite laundry was major bonus to wash and dry running gear before packing into suitcase. Room comfortable, well appointed. Historical building was neat, lobby nice, convenient location downtown. Valet parking was expensive but necessary as there appeared nothing convenient around. Well suited to transit and walking. Views were fantastic from 36th floor suite, and gym was great, with super views, on 17th floor. Sandwich/pastry shop off lobby was good, Starbucks immediately across street.
Cons: No in suite breakfast option, so either be prepared (and make use of in suite kitchen), hit restaurant downstairs (which seemed expensive), or plan for pastry or coffee shop mere steps away.

Excellent 9.1
Pros: Nice hotel on the edge of the downtown core, an easy walk to restaurants and bars on King Street West, Queen Street West, Chinatown and Kensington Market. Hotel is low-rise and relatively small, which is a plus for me. Easy, but somewhat expensive parking underground with direct access to hotel. Luxury room was comfortable and spacious.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Concierge service was excellent. The hotel was clean and well-appointed with lots of luxuries and very comfortable beds.
Cons: Walburgers was horrible
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great location, clean and spacious.

Pros: The proximetry to the stadium and the restaurant. The view of the ballpark from our room was amazing!!!
Cons: Parking! It was difficult to locate the parking garage as on the opposite side of the stadium from the hotel entrance. Also, valet parking refused to park my car because it was said to be too low for the steep entry ramp into the garage but it was less steep than their lobby entrance. Frustrating!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was perfect! Easy access to the subway and walking distance to the theater district.
Cons: Wifi was terrible. Worked great in the lobby but in the room it there really wasn't any reliable service.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Location
Cons: Check out experience
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Awesome view of the game from the room. Loved this experience! Would highly recommend and I hope to do it again.
Cons: Ear plugs should be provided in-room by default. The noise of the post-game clean-up didn't bother me, but may affect others during the night.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Upgraded for no extra charge. Great location and 12pm checkout.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Friendly staff, big room, comfortable bed, great location
Cons: no
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Very nice room and the hotel is in a great location for tourist activities
Cons: Drapes cords were tied together high above your head (i.e. ceiling was about 20' high). As a result, the drapes could not be opened and prevented you from looking out the window. Was later advised that this was not intended as normal practice.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location. Staff. Clean. Friendly. Helpful.
Cons: Can’t think of anything
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Clean and centrally located.
Cons: It was pricey.
Poor 1.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking was offered 5 months ago and this time told differently! Front staff was rude, told us policy changed? Ignorant and poor customer service Will not stay there again
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location is prime and the staff here are awesome!
Cons: I enjoyed it!
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. the Staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The hotel is in the entertainment district and within walking distance to everything we needed.
Cons: all good … nothing negative can be said.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great hotel and food!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Location, facilities (bars, restaurants), style
Poor 1.0
Pros: Nice door man. Nice view. Just caters to a very narrow client base
Cons: The hotel caters to young adults going out on the club scene. The hotel had construction being done in the lobby. This is not a big deal except for some reason they were jackhammering at 1:00am. I got no sleep the staff didn't think this was an issue
Good 6.7
Pros: The location was good for us as it was near friends and we got a cheaper deal.
Cons: The noise from the nightclub and the air con was too cold but we couldn’t adjust it.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything! I highly recommend this place
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The service and attention to our stay was awesome. It was a 17 year anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it a special stay. Thank you.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Atmosphere and luxurious
Cons: Habachi service
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We could see the CN tower from our room.
Cons: We had a plugged sink.
Excellent 9.6
Pros: Great location helpful staff with good recommendations for restaurants
Cons: A dedicated breakfast area rather than using the diner
Good 6.7
Pros: Great view and location
Cons: Not great value for money to start. Also, the rooftop bar they advertise as part of the hotel is CONSTANTLY being used for private functions. We tried 3 times to have a drink when we stayed as each time we were told it was closed for private function. It was infuriating to say the least. Why advertise if it’s not readily available to paying guests!!!!! Wouldn’t return for this reason and this reason alone.
Okay 5.0
Cons: Very basic room for s very high price
Okay 4.8
Pros: Style and location was good, great rooftop pool
Cons: Overall the property was run down and not the best condition. Pool was great view but no space. Love Thompson overall in Cabo and Chicago, but not comparable here - needs to step it up
