Cons: Although it was a lovely hotel with beautiful grounds, I feel their housekeeping proceedures really brought them down. The room I stayed in had brown grime on the shower walls and had obvioulsy not been cleaned in a while. Also, the pillows were extremely flat and made for an uncomfortable night sleep. The sheets were also not changed in the 4 nights we stayed there. We knew this because they were put on without care so everytime you pulled back the covers your sheets came undone especially on my husbands side of the bed where there was not enough material to tuck them back under the mattress. More attention to this would have helped the stay!

Cons: The hotel was a warren of rooms and clinical in design lacking in any character. Our allocated room was very small with only a double bed and as one set of towels was delivered each day ,we wondered if we had been allocated a single room as it was a busy weekend. We received a refund of one night after complaining.

Cons: I didn't like the fact that on entering the room for the first time, I noticed the toilet had been used and not flushed. This is disgusting and should have beeb noticed on even a cursory check. The ceiling light had a bulb out and one of the wall lights was out. Do you even have a system in place to routinely check things like this? The decor was tired, the room was small, the television did not work because it had a fuse missing! There was a generator within 5 foot of my window (room 117). Just so you know it starts up at 7am everyday.

Cons: Rooms were small, extremely overheated and poorly ventilated. Old carpeting triggered allergies. Breakfast not included in the room price and very expensive ($30 for a continental buffet).

Cons: We were in a room with heavy scaffolding blocking the entire two windows. Men were talking, yelling & working/pounding in front of the two windows every morning. They totally ignored us who needed sleeping in the room. There were no privacy nor courtesy. We were not informed or asked if it's Ok for the reception to assign such a downgraded room (the windows were blocked by scaffolding entirely)to us at check in either. The service and facilities were at most a one star hotel this time. I stayed in this hotel for about 5 times in the last two years because we were visiting our daughter who was studying at Worcestor college(one block away). They've been always about a three stars hotel standard. But this time was the worst. We will not use this hotel any more. It's totally not worth the price & the poor facility.

Cons: The plumbing is apparently below the sewer line because there was a pump on the sink, toilet, and shower. Problem is it was unpleasantly loud. And I think they missed a plumbing trap, because the bathroom always smelled like sewer gas. But, other than that the room was lovely and quaint. Breakfast was simple but super good. Croissants, butter, jelly fruit, sandwich meats, coffee was good too.

Pros: The wi-fi speed was decent
Cons: The towels are pre-cambrian with holes the soze of pangea and need to be replaced. There were chunks of food and cigarette butts on the window ledge (outside). TV didn't work. Walk-through was rushed and rude.

Cons: no reception. Had to wait outside in the cold for 20mins to be let in on arrival and breakfast not on time some days (had early meetings so this was crucial for me).

Cons: We stayed in a triple room, which was rather small. The windows did not close properly and, despite good heating, the room was quite cold. The fan in the room next door made an awful noise; luckily the owner fixed it. Breakfast is served only from 8 to 8,45, which was rather strict.

Cons: Overall shabbiness front door in dire need of a coat of paint, covered in scruffy notices, dead flower pots.Furniture not matching and looked as though picked up in a junk shop, wires everywhere and TV held up with bungy straps! Nothing aesthetically pleasing! Overall a tatty B&B with expensive hotel prices! Being woken up by teenagers running riot around the B&B at 3 oclock in the morning and .no one in charge living here. Being called prior to arrival and asked if we could pay in cash or debit card. Costs for credit card use should be absorbed by the rate of the hotel.I though a cooked breakfast should be included in the expensive price and not extra.

Cons: Didn't realise the guest house was situated opposite the biggest nightclub in Oxford! On our nights stay Radio1 were playing a gig and it was a bit lively. We could hear from our room yet it wasn't too bad. Something to bear in mind though.
