Excellent 8.0
Pros: Attractive comfortable room. Good breakfast with friendly staff and show jumping! Convenient for north Oxford.
Cons: Small room but expected and reflected in price.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Everything
Cons: Being picky, brown sauce with breakfast 😋 awesome place, loved watching 👀 the horses jump while having breakfast. 10/10
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Wonderfully helpful friendly owners who really helped in a crisis, thank you.
Cons: Perfect visit
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We had the ground floor room in the small cottage with a huge and comfortable double bed (2x singles zipped together) and french doors looking out onto a field with sheep grazing. The setting is rural but within only a short drive of the city centre. The room was very clean and well appointed, and breakfast served in the clubhouse for the adjoining equestrian centre, was superb. Watching a showjumping event on Saturday while having our breakfast was a bonus! There was plenty of free parking available on site and Laura and Graeme were really helpful and welcoming.
Cons: The only real issue for us was lack of an internet connection, particularly as 4G in the area seems a bit sporadic - but we wouldn't let that put us off staying again!
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Beautiful setting, lovely room, comfortable bed
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Good communication before arrival. Excellent breakfast.
Cons: Though the room was small a chair would have been a nice touch.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Setting is beautiful and the old farmhouse is charming and well kept. Room and bathroom were impeccably clean - the bath was amazing (I'm 6ft 5 and could lay in it comfortably). Would only suggest the hosts provide a small bottle of bubble bath (we bought some from Tesco nearby). Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were accommodating to my fussy requests!
Cons: Double room comprised of 2 single beds pushed together - comfy enough but could feel the join/gap between the beds.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely location, friendly hosts and delicious breakfast and coffee!

Excellent 9.0
Pros: It was very clean and had a very home to home feeling.Breakfast was substantial. The temperatures outside were 25degrees Celsius but thankfully we were provided a fan.
Cons: Even though I had booked the superior double room for my husband only but I decided to join him last minute I had to pay an extra £22 so I am not sure if that was reasonable.
Good 6.0
Pros: Very clean , location was fab and staff were very helpful
Cons: Lots of road noise and lack of food and drink during evening
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The quality of the breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking was good. Rooms were nicely appointed.
Cons: Choosing the exact quantities of the elements of your breakfast, the night before, is difficult. This is not the fault of the hotel but of the need to comply with Covid procedures.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. They bent over backwards to please us, even when they were ridiculously busy. The staff were efficient, polite, friendly and extremely hard working to make it as pleasant a stay as possible. Given that we are under some Covid difficulties, they worked as well as possible to keep us feeling safe. The entire hotel was superbly clean and fresh. Nothing felt old, worn or down at heal. The beds were very comfortable and bedding beautifully clean. To cap it all we were able to meet and eat with family in the lovely garden. Superb.
Cons: I cannot really fault the stay to be honest, I mean it's a shame that it's on a main road....That is it really.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Charming little hotel with very convenient free parking. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Cons: Could do with better water pressure in the shower.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast times were staggered to prevent too many diners at one time, the food was pre ordered and cooked and served by the staff from the buffet. the breakfast room was spotlessly clean.
Cons: Nothing comes to mind
Okay 5.0
Pros: Good location. Not too noisy. Clean. Cooked breakfast good. The staff, we only saw 1 mainly, was lovely.
Cons: Room too hot. Made for a very uncomfortable sleep. Beds not too comfy in my opinion. Breakfast had to be pre ordered the day before which seemed strange especially if you had a change of mind. Cooked breakfast not very hot on 2nd morning.
Good 7.4
Cons: The breakfast would of be better if it was not a buffet

Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location was excellent. If you’re fit you can walk into city centre which we did. This hotel has free parking which again is a bonus. The breakfast was superb lots of choice, cooked freshly and the quality excellent.
Cons: There is nothing you can fault.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Breakfast was very home alike
Good 7.0
Pros: Clean room, comfy bed and good, fresh breakfast. The staff was helpful and the host accommodating .
Cons: The room was quirky but small with a couple of steps to enter and rather steep stairs to the bathroom, which was nearly as big as the room.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent location (with parking!) only a short bus trip into Oxford with excellent service. Summertown nearby has a very good selection of restaurants and shops. Very helpful owner Nes who is full of very useful information and advice. Super freshly cooked breakfast, comfy bed! The Westgate shopping centre in Oxford has an amazing range of designer shops as well as the usuals eg: Next, Primark etc
Cons: Summertown needs another pub as options for drink after meal a little bit limited - only the Dewdrop Inn!
Good 7.0
Pros: Owner was very inviting, friendly and welcoming Very good host Like the decor but could need some tenor care As the decoration of the property is modern the Cutlery and china is old fashion
Cons: Suite bathroom wet room and glass doors
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Lovely host, great place. Will recommend for sure.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: The House Manager, Ashley, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She gave us information about buses, pubs to eat in on Saturday evening, and allowed us to leave our cars there whilst we went into the centre of Oxford on Sunday morning and looked around the Colleges, after we had booked out. She was able to deal with my husband's dietary requirements, which we had told her about in advance. The décor of our room was light and modern.
Cons: There was not much moving around room in the ensuite bathroom, but good use was made of every available space in the whole room, and we managed.
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Clean, comfortable and Ashley (the manager) is super lovely and makes you feel super welcome Breakfast is superb
Cons: The location is a bit out of hand but if you are into walking it will take you around 40 min to reach Oxford City centre walking and around 10 min by bus It is in front of the Wolvercote Cemetery (the one that holds JRR Tolkien tomb)
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely host, nicely furnished room with thoughtful additions such as fridge, sweets, hairdryer were above and beyond expectations. Likewise breakfast very good. Ample parking and bus stop right outside with buses into city centre every few minutes made this a good location.
Cons: Bathroom was very small, but amp!e with good shower. Being in a city there is a little traffic noise when window open, but not enough to be an issue.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: amazing staff, great breakfast, great room with nice facilities
Cons: nothing
Excellent 9.2
Pros: Lovely host, great place to stay
Cons: All OK
Excellent 8.2
Pros: The staff was very accommodating and kind. The breakfast was excellent with many options. The location is right off of a bus route which was very convenient.
Cons: The bathroom was very small and the bed was not very comfortable.

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Large comfortable room. The kitchenette was a bonus. Pleasant scenic walk along the canal to the heart of Oxford town center. Ideal location to visit both Oxford and the beautiful Cotswold villages close by. The owners were very pleasant and friendly people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely room and location. Clean.
Cons: Tiny TV in room!
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Smooth and courteous check-in - felt very welcomed , facilities are good and room size is big - will stay again in future
Cons: no complains about the stay
Excellent 10.0
Pros: These difficult times a generous continental breakfast in the refrigerator and trays, in the room. A upmarket area of Oxford, easily found. A ground floor room, our own door, directly to the car.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room well equipped. Had a very nice feel to it and the lady who ran the hotel ws exceptionally helpful and kind. She offers a lovely range of home cooked vegetarian curries to pre order.
Cons: everything was fine
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The location of the hotel is ideally placed for accessing Summertown for a coffee or a meal. About 45 min walk along the canal into Oxford. The owner is lovely, very accommodating and wants you to enjoy the whole ambiance of her well maintained hotel. Would definitely return and recommend.
Cons: That it had parking and the in room breakfast.
Good 7.0
Pros: Excellent welcoming; the room was quiet, clean and comfortable.
Cons: No cooked breakfast was offered, but only sort of continental which included two cellophaned processed small croissants and no bread and jam. However, nearby is the area of Summertown with plenty of good cafes.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location was great, staff warm and welcoming, accommodation spacious and clean. Short walk from Summertown
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The hotel was lovely, very comfortable and the owner made us feel very welcomed. We pay for breakfast and this was delivered to our room, very nice breakfast. There is parking on site. The hotel is around 45 minutes walking, around 10 min by car from the town centre with great public transport nearby. Also if you fancy you can follow the river canal to the town which is a lovely walk.

Pros: as always here Friendly Staff always happy to help
Cons: NA
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Great stay at the Galaxie - it was peaceful and quiet with a really friendly atmosphere. My room was absolutely spotless and the bathroom I had was enormous and incredibly clean. The owners were unbelievably helpful - I had to take a bus into Oxford and although the bus stop is right outside the hotel they offered to give me a lift free of charge to make sure I didn’t miss my appointment. The hotel is 10 mins from the city centre with lots of cafes, restaurants and shops within a two minute walk of the hotel. Really great stay and will definitely be visiting again. Thanks to the Galaxie
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Lovely staff and room very colouful
Cons: No glasses and plug for basin Waste bin in bedroom had used tissues in and also toilet
Excellent 9.0
Pros: It's close to the city centre, perfect for us as we were only there for a night. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Cons: We booked very last minute so understand the hotel was not prepared for us therefore we're put in a recently refurbished room. There was a bit snagging left as the room wasn't completely finished.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Friendly staff and family atmosphere.
Cons: Plugs not available for wash basins!
Excellent 8.0
Cons: Limited storage, hooks etc. For clothes

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Helpful and nice staff, good breakfast, comfortable room
Cons: Everything was good
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice, . The people there were very kind and the place has a genuinely good atmosphere. Simple uncomplicated and easy. I will stay there again. A good experience. Thankyou
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Room was really comfortable, and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Nice simple breakfast included. A simple basic stay, but at a good price... will use again.
Cons: Was a little confusing getting in as we didn't have the keycode, but that could have been my fault!
Good 7.0
Pros: If you’re looking for a clean, comfy, quiet and minimal fuss place to stay at a very good rate, this is the place for you. Just before I was due to arrive at this delightful B&B I spotted some of the less favourable reviews for it. I’m happy to report that this is a product of Oxford and it’s visitor’s expectations, and not the B&B itself. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, the room was clean, well furnished and comfy, the shower was hot, the breakfast was nice. It’s not The Ritz, but it does exactly what it says on the tin and provides good accommodation at an affordable price. I’ve paid far more for far worse rooms over the course of working up and down the UK. I would recommend anyone stay here - it’s a lovely place with very dedicated staff who are clearly working very hard to make it nice.
Cons: The breakfast was very same-y, but again it was perfectly adequate when you consider the price of the whole stay. I would have appreciated some glasses out for you to help yourself to juice.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable and clean. I was able to park easily, and there was a bus stop close by. Local facilities were good, too.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Convenient and very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Nice and close to Oxford centre and great value.
Cons: Nothing

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Great price. Rooms were lovely. Good location there is a bus stop near by to get into the city or a cab (ask reception) was about £10.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Very nice clean hotel, friendly, polite staff. Modern room, comfortable bed. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Large rooms with air con, good facilities and good location.
Cons: That you had to pay for parking.
Good 6.0
Pros: Liked fitness centre and location, taxi only £7 into town centre, which reception ordered. Pool is small, along with spa facilities
Cons: Small pool which you had to book and could only be there for 30 mins. Max numbers were 10, but considering the size this should be half the number.
Good 7.0
Pros: The location was good.
Cons: Many guests did not wear a mask and staff did not enforce this mandatory rule. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: The room was clean and quiet.
Cons: We paid for a room upgrade and this clearly was a standard room. We were told at checkin we would get a 10% off drinks and bar food "as part of the room upgrade". We also paid for breakfast and a bag with unappetising food
Good 7.6
Excellent 8.2
Cons: No elevators. Long walks to
Excellent 8.4
Okay 4.2
Pros: Breakfast except for The coffee
Cons: Small room, tiny bathroom, small pool Long walk to room No Soap in bathroom No minibar in room
Mediocre 2.8
Pros: the place was clean
Cons: Jurys Inn had no charm. It was a modern space, dorm room style maze. A lot of eastern European workers with no charm. The red head curly haired euro woman need to learn to smile. I hated my stay here. No food at night. Cold AC. Wankers!
Good 6.8
Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: THe hotel is geting a big refurbishment. Restaurant is closed, so rather than eat breakfast in a conferance room, we went into the city instead. In the bedrooms, the choice of opaque glass door to the bathroom was an odd one. Especially as in my room it faces directly onto the bed. I may look stylish, but is not particularly sound proof! And if anyone wants to us the bath room in thhe night, the doors is lit up like an enormous night light!
Excellent 9.4
Pros: Great Staff! Great workout room and Sauna!

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Mark was very helpful and kind, room is cute. Both room and bathroom very clean and personally love the decor
Cons: Nothing really. Far from station but still on main road and at least it’s nice and quiet which is very important!!
Good 7.0
Pros: Good for bus into Oxford. Mark, manager very pleasant.
Cons: Basic TV meant no radio. Door locks primitive. Shower controls inadequate. Breakfast disappointing....butter rock hard. Toast provided, when eaten - would you like a boiled egg?? In which case - why no cooked breakfast?? We were 2 couples, together. Disappointing
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Large spacious room. Quiet. Plenty of hot water. Fridge.
Cons: Because of Covid we couldn't get a cooked breakfast - not the owner's fault. The room continental breakfast could have been a bit more 'adult'. Muesli, yoghurt would have been appreciated.
Excellent 9.0
Cons: Can hear noises form the other rooms
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: The location.
Cons: A 1pm arrival was pre-arranged. On arrival the room was in a mess and had not been made up. I tried to ring Mark on the landline, no success. I left a message on his mobile about 1.10pm and he replied at 2.30pm and had not heard my message. When we went to our room at 4.00pm it was still being made up. Our door was open, empty and our luggage was available for all to see. I told Mark I was not happy. We went out for the remainder of the evening and on our return there was a bunch of keys in our door. This morning we could not have a shower because the ancient shower unit had no water pressure and was just dribbling. Most of the room door handles are not working, you have to rely on the key to open them. This is never a 4 star establishment. It needs money spending on it. Also I do not like being asked to do reviews on premises when I am still on holiday and at the premises. I would not recommend this establishment. The owners should book an overnight stay there as customers and see for themselves.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: I've stayed here a few times now and it's great value for money - good location with bus links into the centre and further north, the beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, and lots of fruits provided for breakfast.
Good 6.8
Cons: A bit of walk from Oxford city center

Excellent 9.0
Pros: Clean, large bed, breakfast really good,
Cons: All good
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Breakfast was good .Beds comfortable
Cons: Cannot not think of anything
Good 7.0
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: When we arrived (my elderly mother and myself)we were told the room was being prepared. When we came back 6 hours later and went to the room it hadn't been done at all. They checked another room for us and this wasn't ready either. 3rd time lucky. We were there 3 nights and no room cleaning service for the stay. I had been away the week before with my husband and our roo was cleaned each day so I don't think this is acceptable. The reception staff and restaurant staff were friendly helpful and apologetic.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: There’s nothing not to like. Everything is just fine. All the facilities, clean, value for money, very pleasant staff and nice food menu
Cons: Not sign posted very well on the main road. I missed the entrance twice and had to go round the dual carriageway each time.
Mediocre 3.0
Pros: Room very satisfactory Bathroom very satisfactory Bed satisfactory Staff very satisfactory
Cons: Only fruit at Breakfast were apples and oranges Evening meal not value for money On arrival, wasn't allowed to have meal deal (evening meal/breakfast) £158 for bed, breakfast & evening meal (for myself & wife) was not value for money and we are unlikely to use Holiday Inn again
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance of park and ride to Oxford City
Cons: Its a way our of Oxford. However its still a good option and would stay again
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Food better than expected

Excellent 9.0
Pros: I paid online requesting also sofa bed, which was readied with linen and extra towels when I checked in -thoughtful! The room and bath were sparkling clean. We didn't need to pay our teenage sons extra for b'fast which was tasty. Easy parking and grocery.
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Very pleasant stay. Helpful and pleasant staff. Full room rates feel a bit expensive though.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast, beautiful rooms convenient Location
Cons: bit noisy by the road
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The staff were all excellent as was the food, especially the buffalo wings. Decor lovely. Would definitely stay again well worth the visit.
Cons: A couple of points. Needs a fridge in rooms. No welcome pack in room.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Callum the manager, along with the staff were excellent, very cheerful, helpful and efficient. The hotel had been refurbished throughout to a very pleasing standard .
Cons: We were surprised that the room wasn’t serviced for the the duration of the stay i.e. the bed not made, dirty cups left, bathroom not cleaned, the towels were not changed as a matter of course. We had to fill in a request form for teaspoon!!! These we considered to be normal housekeeping concerns, on our departure we mentioned this to Callum and he explained that this was due to Covid regulations. The rooms were only cleaned between each new bookings, Next time I would avoid the mango crumble and the smoked streaky bacon.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: We really enjoyed our dinner. Food was amazing. Room was very clean and modern. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Callum (manager) was great and helpful.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Location
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 10.0
Pros: The interior design is very fitting for the property. The manager, Colin, runs the place so well. Both him and all the staff are really lovely. The restaurant food was great, the rooms are really comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Covid procedures are in place and adhered to, without being clinical. I don’t normally give full marks, as there is always room for improvement, however I could not fault this hotel at all. It was a lovely stay, in a lovely town. Location is excellent.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Nice place to stay, staff really friendly. Nicely furnished bedrooms.
Good 6.0
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Cons: Room uncomfortably hot in the night

Excellent 8.0
Pros: Nice beer, friendly hosts, comfy room, good shower, good breakfast....wonderful curry for evening meal.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was perfect for getting into Oxford the following day. You could sit outside and eat. There was a fan in the room which came in really handy as it was extremely hot and humid. They do a really nice mix of Indian food, all home cooked as well as traditional
Cons: The only thing that let them down slightly was telling us breakfast was from 7.30 and it was 8.00 before they opened the doors. I think it’s because they start at eight at weekends but this was Monday morning. But my husband did get an extra sausage so no real complaints
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Just a perfect place to unwind. The village is idyllic. Nice and peaceful. Nice food and good hosts. Very accommodating. Tranquil after the hustle and bustle of a busy Oxford
Cons: Nothing it was just as we had hoped
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Really lovely family run pub/B&B. Hosts could not have been more accommodating. Food was excellent and everything served with a smile. Good location both for Cotswolds and Oxford. Close to a park and ride to save on parking in the city which cost £2 to park for 11 hours plus return bus ticket £4 for two adult returns Close to all the popular Cotswold villages. Rooms spotlessly clean, pub well cared for and locals all very friendly.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9.0
Pros: Beautiful location. Only 10 minutes drive from Oxford but in great countryside village. Wonderful family owned business. Great food (especially the homemade curry). Dog friendly. Car park in rear was very convenient. Would definitely recommend and we will use next time we visit Oxford.
Cons: Water in shower was just running hot…no cold. Luckily our kids had a room also and we used their shower. We reported it to the owners when checking out, who were apologetic and were going to get it looked at that day.
Excellent 9.0
Pros: The location was great, very peaceful. The food was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. The staff were the jewel in the crown, very friendly and helpful. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Cons: Very minor, but the shower valve needs some attention.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: Excellent hotel, brilliant staff who were very helpful and and attentive, the food was excellent with plenty of choice, and served piping hot and served within minutes.the rooms were small but spotless and well decorated. Free WiFi and more than enough parking spaces. A good traditional pub/hotel in central location.
Cons: Our room could have been a little bigger.
Good 7.0
Pros: Convenient for visiting Oxford. Quiet, peaceful location.
Cons: The bathroom tap was loose and hard to turn off. Room very small though perfectly adequate for a night or two. Walls rather thin though the venue is unlikely to attract a noisy crowd.

Excellent 10.0
Pros: It is a very handy guest house for discovering Oxford, booking in was instant, checking out is simple (I had paid in advance).
Excellent 9.0
Pros: They had a place to park our car. And all the stuff required to wash up. It was in a relatively good location. Easy to find. Had a tesco an sainsbury nearby.
Cons: We wanted to get breakfast early and they weren't flexible with the time not offered anything like a takeaway breakfast or the sort. So the free breakfast went to waste
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Right on Summertown’s Main Street, so lots of interest, shopping and cafes /eateries. The price was very attractive and facilities for this price surprisingly adequate or better.
Cons: Some aspects of the building fabric could best be described as “shabby”.
Good 6.8
Excellent 8.0
Pros: Welcoming friendly staff
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Not much
Cons: Not been cleaned before arriving
Excellent 10.0
Mediocre 2.0
Pros: Location quite good. Parking was limited but possible.
Cons: The place was tatty and not clean. My towels were not changed. The bin not emptied. The cup in my room was not replaced so dirty all week. No beaker in the bathroom. The bed side light did not work. The light above the sink did not work. The tea/coffee and milk were not replaced. (No biscuit) the towels were a little hard. The room was too small even for a single person. Nowhere to put any clothes or suit case. All extremely poor. Breakfast passable but could have been better.
Excellent 10.0
Pros: It’s was clean and specious. The owner was absolutely amazing and welcoming! Good location.
Cons: We would probably like darker curtains (or blackout curtains) more. But other than that everything was great!
