noisy in the evening
The location is very convenient, close to all the top sights of Oxford. Room is not big while it is clean and comfortable to stay.
Its just above the a pub, noise of bass will not end until 3:00 a.m.. For young people like me who is always able to sleep like a pig, it will be totally fine, while I don’t think people is sensitive to noise can endure this. Besides that, Room noise isolation is not quite good.
Though the room was tired, the bed sheets were clean and there was a hairdryer for use. Check-in was available 24 hours of the day.
I booked a double room but was given a twin room instead with no explanation. The room had a faint and strange chemical smell which eventually I found could be kept cleared with the windows kept opened ajar, in winter. The room was clean with exception of the showerhead which had bits of hair and build up of ?shampoo stuck to it. I arrived late at night so had to quickly wipe whatever was on it off so I could have a shower and catch some rest. The drains were partially blocked and when I discussed this with the staff an excuse related to the salt content in the water was provided - funny I don't experience this anywhere else in Oxford?
everything seemed freshly renovated. Double windows to reduce sound from the street. big bed!
the showerdoor was unhinged at the top which made opening and closing the door quiet the task.
It was close to the theatre it was quiet at night
Was a lot of money for the size of the rooms
