An excellent English breakfast cooked to order and served in the comfortable restaurant.
The hotel was difficult to locate as the entrance was not situated directly on the High Street as indicated on the website. Also, it could have been more clearly flagged up as the Mercure Eastgate Hotel.
Great location in the heart of Oxford. Rooms were clean & comfortable & staff were very friendly & helpful.
Location was perfect
Had a problem with the air conditioning. The room was too warm
Clean room with everything you need, shame it was so small as you didn’t want to spend much time in it, great central location. Very good breakfast.
Room was very small, not much spare space so it didn’t feel very relaxing. Unfortunately our room was also next to the lift mechanics and every time the lift was used, it rumbled through the room. It wasn’t clear when booking that rooms on the third floor are accessed by stairs from the second floor, could be a problem for a less able person.
The breakfast was incredible (even though the coffee was terrible, the rest did make up for it). The room was very neat and clean.
There was no bottled water in the room. For the price that could very well be a part of the deal. Also, the breakfast while incredible, could be included in the price. The room was very hot at night and overnight became so cold it was hardly even possible to get out of bed without freezing. I don't think the mattress was amazing but will do.

City sightseeing tours are available in the area, making this a great base for guests who want to explore. The hotel offers modern, comfortable rooms which are perfectly equipped to accommodate individuals, couples and families.
