The lady staff member at the restaurant was so lovely. The breakfast was excellent and reasonably priced, the shower water pressure was great, and the bed was super comfortable. The location to Magdalen College and St Clements car park were both unbeatable. I had rented a car so I called ahead to ask about car parking. The staff kindly emailed me a map with nearby parking information which I really appreciated. I also liked that the standard check-out time is 12pm which is very convenient when I had to run some errands in the morning.
The room was slightly on the cold side. I thought turning the air-conditioning on would help, but even with temperature set to 30C it still seemed to blow cold air out of the vent so I turned it off. The air-con was also a bit noisy. The radiator didn’t seem to be very warm.
Booked a double room then upgraded to a superior double only to be given a twin this after email confirmation we were in a superior double . Manager promised to call us - 5 days later still waiting. .
The bar attached to the hotel had a limited menu and the drinks were expensive
Staff were friendly and welcoming, room was clean and bed comfy.
I came with a group of friends and was the only single in the group, we all paid the same room rate yet I was in a room that was tiny to say the least, I believe this should have been reflected in the price as the others all had huge and spacious rooms.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The Hotel was in a lovely historic building, well maintained and inviting. The room was clean, a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was great, with friendly and helpful staff.
I can't think of anything we didn't like. We only stayed one night and all our exceptions were met.
