The staff was excellent. I loved the art work on the walls.
The bed was not comfortable but the pillows on the bed where great.
Breakfast was excellent, we couldn't fault it. Beyond that our room was large and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was good but not 'special' for the amount we paid.
Given that we paid £460 for one night's stay (excluding breakfast), it just wasn't up to par. For similar money you could stay somewhere like the Savoy. I genuinely had expected much better based on the price alone. They didn't have an all-night menu although they did manage to rustle up some burnt toasties for us (which they charged us for). I'm usually very happy the places I stay and certainly not a serial complainer but this was just too much money for the standard provided.
Lovely old design, friendly staff, comfortable (we booked a roomy room)
The lobby is VERY small. Really nowhere to linger. The bar is tiny as well. It was great for a 1 night stay, but I wouldn’t want to stay longer than that. Lovely but just not large enough common rooms.
A beautiful hotel located a 5 minute walk from the centre of oxford. Rooms are extremely comfortable and the bar and restaurant has a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier
Everything, had a wonderful time there
