Cons: The bathroom is filthy. First assigned room had brown stain on toilet cover & dried stains on the front outer side of toilet bowl. After switched to second room, the bath tub knob has bar soap stick at one side. Not sure if the bathroom was ever clean!

Cons: Valet parking was difficult to use. It took us 5 laps (and an additional 45 minutes) in order for there to be space to pull up for valet parking. Instead this space was filled with taxis. Additionally, the room was small, and felt a little bit outdate

Pros: The hotel is in a great location. It is a short walk from Elgin Street and Bank Street, where there are great shops and restaurants. Very convenient.
Cons: When we arrived, there was no power in the hotel. Of course this is not their fault, but we weren't even informed by the concierge when checking in, it was the teenage doorman who told us that there was no power. Not a great first impression. When they checked us in, they sent us to an occupied room which was absolutely mortifying. The next morning we woke up and noticed that there was a blood stain on the top sheet.. that was not from my partner or I. We immediately called and asked for the sheets to be changed, and informed them we were heading out for the rest of the day. When we returned back to the hotel hours later, the sheets had not been changed. Totally disgusting. The next morning my partner decided to stay in Ottawa one extra day, and wanted to stay in the room an extra night (it was close to everything and his stuff was already there). When we went downstairs to pay the extra charge, they took an ADDITIONAL deposit. Totally ridiculous as they still had a deposit from the first two nights. Definitely would not stay here again! The location was great but there were far too many issues.

Cons: There is plentiful information regarding quiet hours and how the design of the original jail was designed to carry noise. Despite this on both the nights we stayed, others weren't at all mindful of this and ignored the quiet hours and made quite a lot of noise. This isn't the properties fault, this is down to individuals being selfish.

Pros: Perfect location. You can easily reach all the sights of the city walking, there are a few restaurants around, a supermarket and a food court not that far away, so no complaints here. You can have good breakfast in the restaurant downstairs or make your own in the kitchenette in the suite. The staff is professional and very helpful. The hotel is situated on a quiet street, so unless somebody makes some noise in the corridor, you´ll sleep well.

Cons: The bed was certainly not for two people, so one of us ended up sleeping on a fold-out sofa that was old and quite uncomfortable. If we were a family with two kids (and the suite is apparently intended for a family), we would have to ask for a different room. The economy suite looks like from old times, it really needs some renovations and it just does not make a good impression. It was clean, functional and spacious but I just don´t feel like I´d like to stay there again. Also the bathroom could use some update. The absence of a safe in the room is a minus.

Cons: One factor was the bathroom. There was a slight mouldy odor around the toilet. Also when taking a shower the water coming from the tap was hot but when the shower was turned it the water fluctuated from hot to very cold. Not a pleasant way to shower.

Cons: Small but important things such as slippers, toothbrush, and toothpaste were missing from the room.

Cons: Absolutely unacceptable wifi coverage. It wasn´t possible to work on my laptop, and it was a business trip. Really disappointing.
