Pros: Lovely place. The hosts are extremely atencious and helpful. Pierre and his lovely mother do everything to make your day the best possible. They know everything about the city and attractions that you may visit. The breakfast is made at the time you sit, so it’s fresh and hot. The bathroom is quite ok, shower is perfect. All is very clean. The heater works great as well. And it’s located 3 min from touristic places. I’d stay here again if I could!

Pros: I was really impressed by the friendliness of the host. He accommodated all of my needs. In fact, he exceeded my expectations! The first day I arrived, he accompanied at the location of my conference by car. The last day, he prepared breakfast for me quite early so I could be on time for my bus and even accompanied me to the bus station! It's like being in your home, with a friendly person that takes care of you. And the location is fantastic. Thanks Pierre!

Pros: Breakfast is the only pleasant thing. And dragged the score to massive 3.3 points.
Cons: MacDonald room: 1. The room description states the private bathroom is outside the room, it is actually 20 metered away and when went there in the middle of the night by the time you back to the room you completely awake. 2. The balcony door has massive gaps between the door frame , both are thin and wooden, outside temperature was -10 Celsius, the feet were freezing. 3. Room heater , turned on , after 2-3minutes the electricity shutted down, we were in the dark room with no light. called the owner , didn't pick the call, messaged him, replied after 5 minutes. 4. Coffee machine is outside the room , shared. 5. Ignorant, arrogant , grinning owner. When arrived and complained above all things above , he said you take it or leave it ,but still get charged as there is cancellation policy. Refused to change a room. No apologies and no will to fix the issue at all. 6. We got charged for 2 nights on arrival, even though it was two separate bookings. When asked the owner next morning why we got charged in advance as it is unusual practice , he replied that when people don't like the room, they run away not paying, that was an explanation. 7. Tried to take a shower, hot water was gone within 5 minutes. When said it to the owner, he plied there is a tank and a lot of people using it. 8. The rule to take of the shoes is beyond of my understanding. If you go next door for the breakfast , shoes on in the building where stayed and next door shoes off again to enter. 9. Kevan , on arrival gave us instructions where and what we can do , which was utter pathetic. 10. Parking is 4 minutes away from the property and it is not pleasant experience to walk in -10 Celsius. Parking is located near two appartment blocks which looked dodgy. Beware of you have a nice car. 11. The ceiling is thin and we heard when someone walked or talked in the room above. Sometimes we got a feeling that they move the furniture or something heavy. 12.

Cons: Even if it was clean there was mold in the shower. Usually I would rate it as clean, but this is an healthy issue and not to accept. The bottom is old and squeaky, but it didn't matter and fitted to the nice ambience.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The floors creaked and the tub anti skid mat was either moldy or plain dirty. It had black marks. It should be replaced. The door of the medicine cabinet in the bathroom is missing a hinge. When I opened it, it tilted. There were two shower curtains on each side and the one covering a window moved during a shower. The bathroom door need painting and the knob on the front door is broken. The staircase can use some TLC.

Pros: Beautiful home right near downtown and the convention centre. VERY clean and well appointed. Best Breakfasts I've ever had at a BnB. Highly recommend!
Cons: Bathroom as a bit small -- would be uncomfortable for a larger person. Very near university and the area was a bit noisy on the weekend.
5.8 Okay
Pros: A very pretty building in a quiet location.
Cons: Surprised to be met by a sign inside front door to remove footwear but understandable given the wooden floors. Disappointed that couldn’t make a tea or coffee in the room or even downstairs as no milk available. No choice of breakfast and not even any toast and butter. Turns out it was run by a Vegan woman. Toilet in our room was so cramped it would be unusable to a large person or anyone with mobility difficulties.
7.1 Good
Pros: House was immaculate with beautifully furnished lounges. Comfortable bed.
Cons: It was very impersonal. We had to check ourselves in even though we arrived at 4pm. It was our first time in Ottawa and it would have been nice to have been welcomed to the city and given some information on the neighbourhood - there wereplenty of leaflets. Also the breakfast, included in the price was only served, at 8pm - ok for business people but not for holiday makers.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice and clean
Cons:

Pros: The place is amazing, very cosy and clean and the location great, just 10mins walk to the centre. The breakfast entirely hand made (vegan and gluten free) was delicious. There is the possibility to park your car for free just in front of the house. The staff was very polite and helpful.
Cons: As constructive critics, the Wi-Fi in our room (the one near the kitchen) wasn't working because of the low signal constantly falling. We tried all the connections available but the only way to partially solve the problem was leaving the doors open. Another thing was the aircon, it was 13-14 degrees outside and the aircon was always on...for us it was just too cold and because of the central system it was impossibile to turn it off or to raise the temperature.
6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent and the lady preparing it very friendly
Cons: We paid EXTRA for the large deluxe room and this was definitely very disappointing. Our bedroom was small and did not have the bath. The kitchenette was at the entrance of the room and had not added value at all. Although it was supposed to be part of our room, the door could not be locked and it was being used by others (there was food in the fridge, garbage bin was full..) and most disturbing at all were the washing machine/dryer in our kitchenette with the NOT FOR GUEST USE sign on it, while it was clearly being used during our stay by someone else as there was laundry in both machines. Best NOT to pay the extra for the deluxe room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Good Location nearby everything, clean rooms, comfy beds
Cons: Breakfast of the day was served for all guests, but with no choice. It changed every day. All guests of the morning could for example have eggs or pancakes, but they couldn’t do eggs for one person and pancakes for the other person. If you didn‘t like the breakfast of the day, the only alternative was porridge or just fruit. All tastes very good and was of good quality, but I wish they could have been a bit more flexible.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and decor. Central for getting around Ottowa. Comfortable B&B
Cons: Breakfasts were good, but not flavorful.

Despite that, everything was perfect. Even sharing the bathroom outside of the room with the other bedroom was 100% ok and it didn't even feel like we were sharing it!

Pros: Bed super comfortable. Quiet residencial area. The manager was super nice; went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.
Cons: Only one bathroom for 3 rooms upstairs. There was no washroom available downstairs so we ended up waiting long time for the washroom to shower and to use the toilet. It didn't feel private since the window did not have curtains or blinds. Sun was up early in morning and we couldn't go back to sleep.

Pros:
Cons: The owner of the property didn’t want to give me the key to my room because he had issues in the past. They keys are right in the open of the front door so it’s a huge security risk, if you’re renting a room with a lock then the only person who should have a key to that room is the guest. The main reason I booked this property is because it offered free shuttle to the airport. When I told the owner the time of my flight (8:30 am) I was told that was too early and to use Uber. Not impressed with the owner ad would not recommend staying here.

Pros: The location is excellent, with easy access to frequent busses. Across the street is the wonderful Natural History Museum. The owners quirky but welcoming and friendly, and accommodating.

Pros: Omg I loved it here! Siri is so welcoming and the room was very clean and comfortable. The house is like an Aladdin’s cave and stuff everywhere so if you’re a minimalist, this is not the place for you. However, it was very much the place for us and despite the clutter, it is very clean. It is right opposite the museum and very central to pubs and restaurants. It was very reasonable cost for location and I would recommend it to anyone. We sat out in the back garden late evening in the warm, balmy weather and treated to toast and fruit for breakfast. I even got the most amazing massage in the SPA room as Siri is a qualified masseuse.

Pros: The location is excellent, with easy access to frequent busses. Across the street is the wonderful Natural History Museum. The owners quirky but welcoming and friendly, and accommodating.
Cons: Sorry to say this, but avoid the breakfast, which is minimal. Instant coffee and barely warm raisin bread do not prepare one for a morning's expedition to the sights of Ottawa. However, the Natural History Museum has an excellent cafeteria, which serves breakfast, is reasonably priced, and gorgeous!

Pros: I liked the free breakfast and the proximity to the bus station.
Cons: I did not like how there was a weird smell in my room. I also did not like how inconsistent the heating system was.

Cons: No drinking water in the guest room, not convenient to take water from kitchen. Staff may proactively give a brief introduction of shared facilities upon arrival.

Pros:
Cons: Great location. A little run down. Very nice staff. Very good hot breakfast: eggs, toast; muffins.

The room is clean. There is WiFi and a small TV in the room. The women laying out breakfast was helpful and friendly and I appreciated her assistance.
Cons: I had to be downtown for meetings by 8:00 … as such I had to leave the premises before breakfast was served each morning. On arrival you have to call the landlord to get the combination to open the lock on the front door. There was an extra service charge of $50 on arrival - which was unexpected.

5.0 Okay
Pros: It was close to a lot of eateries and food spots almost hard for me to choose where to eat.
Cons: I don’t think the room had air conditioning or a cooling system so I expected at least a fan or something but no fan either so it was hard falling asleep in the slight heat. The room I stayed was in a whole different building from the main building where breakfast was served; this means if I needed anything I had to leave my building. The breakfast was rationed, everyone got three small pancakes, a hard boiled egg, one cupcake and tea/coffee/water. I was literally still hungry after eating.
