Misleading - choose airport pick up and paid $50 t
Pros: Brand new car. Last car in the place and was a major upgrade from what we booked. Clean and ran great.
Cons: Selected airport Enterprise location while booking. Somehow my car was at an off-site location and cost an additional $50 to get me to my car. Apparently, their "We'll pick you up" slogan only applies to certain people, not from Enterprise to Enterprise locations only ten miles apart.

Cons: They didn't send me the receipt via mail, though they promised to do it.

Pros: It was super cheap and the staff was friendly.
Cons: The gas tank was half full when I picked it up and ended up returning it 3/4 full, which means they pocketed 1/4 tank of gas on my dime. I tried estimating how much gas I had to put in, but overshot.

Pros: Car was brand new and had every option available to humanity: heated front and back seats, heated steering wheel, sun roof, navigation. All in a compact.
Pros: Good selection of vehicles, vehicles were clean, and checkout process was painless. Productive staff. Descent value for $, much cheaper than at-airport locations.
Cons: Not all cars have winter tires, which isn't acceptable in February. Strange requirement to post the last gas fill up receipt to windshield when returning the car - why should I trust you if you won't trust me?
Hard to find the office.

First time renter, excellent service!
Pros: When I got to the counter, the man at the desk was more than happy to answer any of my questions. I knew being only 21 I'd be charged more than I was quoted on Kayak, but the final price wasn't horrible sticker shock. The car was new, pristine, and fuel efficient; I drove to Toronto in an SUV on one tank, and still had about 1/4 a tank left. The employee even helped show me how to put the seats down, and start the car (as it was a push to start, something I'm unfamiliar with)
Cons: Absolutely no complaints whatsoever; staff was attentive and helpful.

Cons: I paid double the amount than was advertised on Kayak, the image on screen showed a Nissan Duke, but on arrival we were provided with a tiny car that wouldn't fit 5 people in it. We then had to pay an extra $20, and an extra 20% on the advertised price as a deposit. Return desk in Toronto was impossible to locate, and the man at the desk was very unhelpful.

Cons: The customer service was sub-par and downright rude on both drop-off and pick-up. Very limited cars left when picking up so was given a much larger vehicle (rather than the economy size I had reserved) which ended up costing me more in gas. When I reserved the car, my reservation said I had unlimited mileage; however, there was a 200km per day limit, after which, I would be charged. There was also a $1000 deposit which was not disclosed at the time of reservation. Finally, the gas tank was only 3/4 full when I received the car, which made it very difficult to gauge how much gas I needed to fill when returning. I would not return to Routes, nor would I recommend to anyone within or travelling to Ottawa.

Cons: Customer service was bad
I mistakenly returned the car a day late and was charged double my rental fees. No call the day before nothing. No reminder to return. All was fine but upon returning customer service was bad again.

Worst costumer service
Cons: I tried to contact this company a week before my rental to figure out some of the details (where they were located, how to get there, etc.?). I sent them an email on a Wednesday. On Monday I still hadn't heard anything so I called their 1-800 number. I was told on the phone that they couldn't help me because I had already put in an email request. First of all, it should not take 5 days to respond to an email. Secondly, if it does take 5 days to respond to an email when someone calls you should have the ability to help! I promptly cancelled my reservation. Three days later I finally received an email back.

Pros: No hassle getting the rental, and not that far from the airport. Overall a good rental experience. I would rent again from this company. I was surprised that the gas tank was not full, only5/8 of a tank but I did not have to bring it back full. Only with the same amount of gas that they had in it

Excellent Service and Value
Pros: I was very impressed with the service, friendliness and professionalism of the business. It was fast, simple and easy. I wad picked up at the airport and brought to my car. It was an upgrade, beautiful Nissan Pathfinder with all the bells and whistles. I had to drop the car off quickly and it took them 1 minute to process my paperwork and then I had a private ride to the airport right to my gate. The whole experience was five star. Thank you Routes!
Cons: There is nothing negative to say. It was honestly amazing!

poor communication and service
Cons: The order confirmation said the location would be open until 11:30pm. They weren't and instead closed at 10pm. I was left stranded at the airport without a car. I had to take a taxi to my hotel. The next morning, I had to demand they pick me up and bring me to the location (which they did, but on their schedule, not mine.)
Once I finally got to the rental counter, although I was able to PAY the FINAL bill with a debit card, I could not rent (credit card hold) with a debit card. They wanted a $500 (!) hold in order to rent a $90 car rental. I couldn't use my debit cards, so I asked to split the $500 across 2 credit cards. They couldn't do that either (not sure if it was incompetence or policy). I left without renting a car, angry, frustrated and going to their competitor.)
Pros: Very nice personnel working the counter. Easy to pick up and drop off after hours. Would use them again when in the area.

Terrible location to get to, and cost more than initial quote (thanks to USD). Back to Enterprise forever.

Really great service, reallu great car!
Pros: I booked this car through a third party site and I was worried something would go amiss, but instead I got a warm reception from the location owner-manager, prompt service, and a really lovely vehicle that was clean and safe and fun to drive. Returning it was easy and again Bilal (I think?) was courteous and efficient. I was charged exactly the quoted price and I had a positive experience overall. I would use this company again.

the location of the rental car place was very very dirty and unprofessional looking.
Cons: Unstaffed after hours drop in Montreal (Drummond St) was a bit hard to figure out.

No one was at the location while dropping my car
Pros: The car quality was excellent
Cons: No one was there while dropping my car and I did not know about this before hands. I dropped the car 1 hour before the deal time and the office was closed and will be closed during Christmas vacation (dropped at 5pm Sunday shop will open on Tuesday) it's unsafe for the car ... I m upset about not knowing before hands ... what if it is stolen? What if anything happen to it until they open?
Pros: The car was almost brand new, clean and in excellent conditions.
We got some discounts because of the poor service.
Cons: We were forced to book the car from the "airport office" because there was not another option from the website, even though the office itself in 20 min from the airport and we actually live 5 min from the office and just walked there; for this we were charged more than $60 ("premium location fee").
When we arrived at the office the type of car we booked (medium SUV) was not available and they had to bring one from another location. After making us wait for more than an hour they showed up with an off-road vehicle! Not exactly out choice for a comfortable 1000+ Km trip with my parents. Since there were other people in our same waiting situation but with different needs, they proposed us to switch car. So after another half an hour waiting they provided us with a higher class SUV. At least they offered us some (small) discount for the time we had to wait and for the extra gas-consumption of the bigger car we got.

Overbooked and no Cars Available on Christmas Eve - Booked Car Nov 11
Cons: The fact that when I called your booking agent they said they only did booking nothing they could do and that it was Quote "my problem" ... This Discount location was ill prepared, I went there and they had a long waiting list that they could not provide cars for. I waited and kept pushing and eventually go a much smaller car .. however you need to do better this sucked... most people took the situation as just too bad for them ... my pushing eventually got me a car but it was horrible

Rental car was not available upon arrival.
Cons: My flight was delayed so I was an hour late for rental pick up. Upon arrival I was told that my rental was given to a walk in customer and that they did not have a vehicle for me. I had to take a taxi to Budget for a rental. I would not recommend ACE.
Pros: The car was clean and in great condition. The drop off was quick and smooth. Pick up was fast given I had a copy of the reservation and maps were provided. Price was better than the other rental companies.
Cons: I had made the reservation through Kayak the previous evening. Alamo check out desk didn't have the reservation, but luckily I had a paper copy. After they reviewed it, pickup was quick and painless.
