Pros: The Staff could not be more helpful and always there if you needed them. The suites were exactly what we needed especially as we were aware of social distancing becoming more prevalent as the weekend went on. Kitchenette was perfect with all the necessary utensils, the living area was a good size with lots of natural light. Bedroom was what you would expect in most higher rated hotel rooms but again the large windows allowed lots of natural light in making it look a lot larger than it was. We will definitely be back here, yet maybe not for some time unfortunately due to the obvious.

Pros: When travelling to Newcastle, we always choose the Staybridge Suites as it is perfect for our needs. The bedroom is large enough to accommodate the x-large double bed and the travel cot easily and the living room and kitchen provide a welcome extra bit of space to sit and relax and allow the little one to play with his toys. The facilities in the kitchen area are great, so whether here for a couple of nights or longer we have everything we need and the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection is fantastic and the complimentary hot drinks through out the day are appreciated! I can't finish my review without mentioning the staff here who are without doubt the friendliest and welcoming hotel staff that I have come across. From checking in to checking out they are fantastic and a credit to the hotel, always going that extra mile and always taking the time to speak with you. I don't think I can ever remember a friendlier group of people on my many travels and hotel stays. They're a credit to hotel!

Pros: Fabulous suite, clean and everything you could want to make your stay like home from home. Shower was great, comfortable bed, spacious area and comfortable. Had a few problems with air conditioning, but Jason saved the day by bringing us a large powerful fan, which made all the difference, and this was within minutes of calling the front desk. Jason offered us another room, but as we were on our way out for the night, and we were only staying for 2 nights, we declined the kind offer. Breakfast was excellent and of top quality, and staff were always available to help if needed. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could've stayed longer. We will definitely book to stay again if we visit Newcastle again.

Cons: Hello, I’ve recently been to your hotel and we where thrown out at 1 am after being out drinking, reason being.. we got back had a little argument and then got warned we then went to sleep and she fell off the bed was crying and screaming “Ive broke my wrist again” (she had to get pins put in a few moth back when she fell down the stairs) so someone came up again and told us we had 10 minutes to then pack our things and leave or the police were being phoned with no explanation or without willing to let me talk. then we had to £30 to get to hospital and £35 to get home when had been seen to as grandparents where dropping us/collecting us. I feel it may of been very age discriminating

Cons: £92 for breakfast which I believed was included, both the hotel and get a room blamed each other and left the customer in the dark.
We avoided breakfast in the hotel and the hotel still tried to charge for it

Hotel Bar tries to move guests around in Bar once settled at a table claiming tables not marked as reserved were reserved

Cons: The decoration and furnishings were tired and the cleanliness could have been improved - there was dust behind the radiators, on the mirrors and the bathroom could have been cleaner (floors and corners). It didn't seem possible to get hot enough water via the shower although it was piping from the sink taps.

Cons: Our bedroom was absolutely filthy. There was vomit down the side of the mattress. Thick dust and dirt in in the corners of the room. We slid the mattress to look underneath after seeing the sick - it was horrendous. There were bits of food including a piece of pasta that looked like it had been/was being eaten by insects, bugs or possibly mice as tiny bits had clearly been eaten from it. There were hundreds of different hairs. Thick dust, rubbish, a large amount of water or damp (?) on floor. It wasn’t just the bed area. The drawer with the coffee and milk in was also dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a long while. There was dust, dirt, human hair and spilt coffee grains in there. The bathroom was also unclean with hair from previous guests on the floor. The sink wasn’t clean. The shower area was dirty around the edges and there were silver fish darting around the floor in there. There was also a fair bit of dust in the bathroom so we chose not to use the shower. We discovered most of these things on the morning we left having taken a closer look. I am very unwell and have a compromised immune system. My Mum who was with me is in her mid 70’s and was sleeping in the bed with the sick on the mattress. When I spoke to the manager about the state of the room AND showed him photographs he didn’t apologise. I said I’d like a refund which he agreed to but I’m yet to receive. He told me his staff don’t clean under the beds. He also told me not to look under beds in hotels. Just ridiculous! Given the current situation with the Corona Virus you’d have thought this hotel would be taking as many steps as possible to ensure the safety of not only its guests but it’s staff from contracting it. We’ve been told the virus can live on surfaces for a few days so it’s vital cleanliness is key everywhere.

Cons: I forgot my toothbrush/paste and expected in this standard of hotel they might have a few emergency kits available. The shops were shut by the time I found this out. I had my breakfast towards the end of the allotted time, and everything was a bit lukewarm. You had to go outside to get to the leisure facilities. The swimming pool was narrow so absolute maximum of 3 swimmers doing lengths.

In the morning we rose about eight and realised we could not shower as there was no hot water....all had been used....disappointing and not my usual experience of your chain.
