Newcastle upon Tyne bed & breakfasts

Pros: Nice accommodation, nice area and lovely friendly hosts

Cons: It was all fine for us

Pros: Feels like home, perfect position, very quite and close to restaurant and shops. Large and comfortable room. Maxine is lovely and caring, I loved her and her place

Pros: We had a fantastic stay at the Adelphi, comfortable rooms, great breakfasts and lovely hosts, would absolutely recommend

Pros: The location of the property is good to where we wanted to be and was close enough that had shops and attractions near by. The lady whom we had spoken to there was very nice and helpful when we had questions.

Cons: Our room was okay. Had trouble with our room door trying to enter as was very stiff and the bathe room door didn’t shut at all! (We had to put the bin in front of it to keep it closed). The facilities weren’t very clean and the soap dispenser was broken and unusable! Other than that the room itself was spacious enough for 2 people and provided a good amount at the tea and coffee station however the cartoons of milk looked and tasted slightly off.

Pros: Owner was brilliant room was great not 2 far from city centre

Pros: Lovely bed and breakfast, the host Maxine is very kind and helpful. The place was close to the city center and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Our room was comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and it was a good stay overall.

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Made to feel very at home for our short stay.

Pros: The hospitality was excellent. We were made to feel completely at home and very welcome The breakfasts were excellent.. I would recommend the Adelphi guest to my friends and family.

Cons: We reserved a family room (double and a single). First room they tried to give us was 2 twins in a room without a door knob. Stains on the bed covers and an overall stink. After complaining to the owner they gave us a double with a twin all scrunched into a small room on the 4th floor (no lift).Mind you they said that all the rooms were booked and everyone checked in which was obviously a bald faced lie.

Pros: The staff is cordial, informed about safety procedure upon arrival, offered to carry luggages(the stairs are quite steep, but it is because of the old structure), the breakfast was nice and unexpected at the price I paid for the budget family travelers. The pub seems nice and very affordable price, but I did not try as we brought a takeaway(I could have known it’s a pub before the arrival)

Cons: The room is cold( room #7). The reason is the window does not close well and wind draft makes the temperature goes down during the night. The radiator is behind of a guest bed which blocks the heat radiation. I had to move the guest bed rearranged to have more heat circulated, but found lots of debris, pens, and beer cap, etc. under the guest bed... My recommendations )for off-peak wintery weather travelers) are, a. consider the window lock fixed. b. offer more blankets (upon request) It shows overall very good value for the money I paid- private parking spot, generous breakfast, nice staff.

Pros: Bed was comfortable - thank goodness as this was the only good thing about the room.

Cons: Even though the heat was on the room and bathroom were freezing. Single glazed windows aren't sufficient anymore. Needed to put towels along the sash to keep the draft out. Photos make the room look better/more modern than they are.

Pros: Lovely room with very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Easily accessible with car park included at the rear . Located very conveniently for all areas of Newcastle. Very friendly owners and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the breakfast too. Overall exceptional value for money and I would highly recommend the hotel. I will certainly stay again the next time I am in the North East.

Cons: Stairs are quite steep so perhaps not ideal for anyone who struggles with steps .

Pros: Good location and parking. Had Room at back of hotel so slept well and also good breakfast
