Naples hotels near Piazza del Gesù Nuovo

Pros: Is great location with good views. Within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Wonderful staff.

Cons: They need to update the hotel a bit it's very dated it's like stepping into 1945. They need to make the hotel like Thr terrace they have on the very top there is a restaurant there and it's the only area of the hotel that I would consider a 5. Star.they should use the style of that restaurant for the entire hotel.

Pros: Generro (spelling) at the front desk was wonderful. He made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was outstanding. The hotel staff was superb. I would absolutely return.

Cons: The only downside was the Caruso restaurant. It was overpriced, the staff was horrible and the food was not good at all. The hotel really needs to start completely over. With so many wonderful options everywhere around you, avoid it at all costs.

Pros: Excellent staff, position was perfect

Pros: Fantastic location. Very friendly staff. Clean and quirky. Just loved it. Will definitely come back. There are a lot of stairs to climb. But this was not a problem for us. Breakfast was varied and well worth the 5 euro

Pros: The location is amazing situated in the centre of the Historic District nearest one of the best Pizzerias (ll' President) and not too far from the ports, train station and the funicular. The property was kept to an immaculate standard and each room was well-designed and airconditioned, not to mention the property had an amazing balcony with lots of plants.

Cons: I only wished that there were more comfortable chairs on the balcony, honestly, that is it.

Pros: The property was quiet yet well placed in the bustling Centro Storico. The private sun terrace, the aircon and the ensuite shower facilities were our saviour in mid 30s temperatures. The attention to detail in the property was great, things were well thought out.

Pros: Pros: incredible accomodation hosted by such lovely and genuine people. The room was spacious and comfortable with a fantastic quirky and artistic edge. Free tea and coffee, and an incredibly clean shared bathroom!

Cons: Cons: That we didn’t stay longer! Also be aware of the 8 flights of stairs needed to be climbed to reach the top - not for the faint hearted! Owner was using a hammer to hang paintings at 11pm - strange ahah

Pros: A high class hotel, friendly and helpful staff, very good breakfast. Location is good with nice views of the port and mt. Vesuvius. Five minutes walk to San Carlo theater (City center), or to municipio or Universidad stations on the metro L1 line. Room was ample and very clean. Room service was very efficient with good food. The Michelin star restuarant was flawless. Spa facilities innovative and nice.

Cons: Spa treatment wasn't professional enough, according to our expectations.

Pros: I found location is very convenient and practically it has walking distance for lots of city’s bright spots. Excellent sound isolation for the road noise and modern design.

Cons: I wish air-conditioning to be adjustable in the room, rather than centralised.

Pros: Top class. Couldn’t have been more comfortable or convenient. Staff were excellent. Some lovely small restaurant nearby and easy access to the main sights. Oh, and the breakfast was really good, with fine views of Vesuvius.

Cons: The neighborhood was terrible= Naples looked like it was rundown with crime from where this hotel was situated. The room was small and somehow, the shower opened directly to the bed. The lights in the room were on a sensor- so if you are showering and not moving, the lights shut off within 60 seconds. on my high standard, the hotel was essentially built to try and be a 5star, but failed to get there. the beds were terrible as well- 5 star hotel, i expect a queen or a king bed that is not a stiff European bed on a board. If you want a 5star luxury hotel, its not that. But it was nice.

Pros: Hotel was very nice, couldn’t fault the hotel or room itself.

Cons: Location, Naples isn’t a nice location. Very poor area, lots of rubbish in the streets & very polluted

Pros: The Romeo is an upscale, eclectic hotel, near the waterfront in Naples. The service is generally excellent, and the rooftop pool is unusual and not to be missed. The rooms are high tech, perhaps too much so.

Cons: The overnight shift at the front desk could use some retraining - indifference seems to be the primary attitude. Naples itself seems safe and is a vibrant city, but it sure is dirty and needs routine litter pick up and infrastructure maintenance.

Cons: The air conditioner won’t work in winter so you have to keep the windows open unless there is rain or street noise then your will literally sweat. And there is no ironing allowed in the hotel if you want to iron your clothes you have to give for laundry

The hospitality and level of service were outstanding and we will definitely recommend this hotel to our friends. Cons: WiFi isn’t for free and bad quality. That is no good value for money in this class of hotel.

Cons: Gym is not really in hotel and not available when needed. Hours on the facilities are not very convenient. Restaurant needs more options. Room was very small, compared to photos on website.

Pros: This is a great hotel in a good location for getting around the sights of Naples. They have a fantastic selection of food at breakfast and very attentive staff. The bar staff were excellent and remembered what each of us were drinking. We arrived on my partner's 50th birthday and having let the hotel know, we had a bottle of sparkling wine in the room on arrival. It was a lovely touch. One day the room was very warm and reception said that as it was winter, the cold air wasn't on, but they dealt with this very well by getting the housekeeping to leave the window open and providing a fan. Overall a very good hotel in a great central location.

Cons: One thing that was a little disappointing was that the wifi isn't free. We paid for it one day and the signal wasn't very good so definitely something to improve on.

Pros: Most staff were efficient and friendly. Hotel is very clean and the view from the breakfast area is wonderful.

Cons: I booked a deluxe room but was told we got an upgrade to superior. I always thought a deluxe was better than a superior. The room was very small so I asked to be changed. The replacement room was bigger with a bigger bed but nothing special and the bathroom was very tight.

Pros: The rooms were spacious and the building was located next to a plaza with lots of cafes and directly next to a metro station making it convenient to get around town.

Cons: The check-in process was not pleasant. We had to go to another location for check-in where they said there would be a complimentary shuttle to drive us to our building, but due to traffic the shuttle did not show up for over an hour. When we finally asked the staff where it was they said they had no idea when it would arrive. We understand that traffic can be an unanticipated issue, however, our displeasure was with the communication. We were originally told the shuttle would be 20 minutes and then never received an update as we waited over an hour. When we went up to the desk to ask they could not give an estimated time and said it should be here soon. Despite not communicating the shuttle status, they did make a point to get up from behind the desk to let us know the unlabeled waters in the fridge at the check in area cost one euro each after we had grabbed a few during our one hour wait for the shuttle (the staff had simply said "prego" when we asked them if we could grab a water originally). Our group was planning to go to the museum before closing, but had to cancel those plans when we ended up walking to our building. We were also charged twice initially although they refunded the second payment immediately after I reached out. Finally, we saw online there was a common space with tables and chairs that our group could meet up in, but it was not open during our stay.

Cons: They sent you to a address and take you to another one, and after you have to return by yourself (15 minutes walk) for check out with your suitcases. The shower wasnt working, only cold water with a 0 degrees temperature at that time we were there. They didnt have another room to move us, plus they didnt offer anything to make up for that, and we had to walk 15 minutes with our suitcases for the checkout.

Pros: The location was really good, easy to walk around and discover Naples. The rooms were also very nice and clean, with essential appliances inside.

Cons: Overall, the stay was very nice, for the future would be good to also send the email about the location of check-in in English at the bottom, or to add this in the description on booking.com.

Cons: A very poor quality of mattress

Cons: Although the accommodation looks great and beautiful, and I guess, they have some rooms of this kind, the one we stayed in lacked some good atmosphere. The window opened to a dark yard and not to the square as indicated in the pics, the bathroom was very cold, both in decoration (as in a hospital) and in temperature. The only means of heating was in the room and nothing in the bathroom - it was January. Also, some tiles were cracked and the room would definitely need new painting. I also had several issues with the booking - the accommodation does not allow late check-in, which only turns out after booking and payment, or would allow it for 50 eur, which I consider quite expensive. They were not helpful or understanding in any respect, it was a great disappointment for me. I also contacted booking.com for some support, however they were neither able to find any solution. Finally they charged 3 nights for 2 as we had to stay at another place at the first night due to being unable to check-in. I would definitely not stay there again and neither recommend the place to anyone. I must also add that I am not over-critical at all, I have always written great reviews for my hosts and never cared about small problems.

Pros: Nice simple room right in the middle of Piazza Dante. Location unbeatable, right by the tube and city.
