10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like everything about this hotel. Gorgeous rooms. Cute courtyard to drink a few cans of ABC in the afternoon when it gets too hot to walk around. Superb location, dead center. Just a few blocks away is Aung Mingalar, one of the best Shan noodles in town. Also Easy Cafe/Gentleman Roasters with elite coffee. Can walk to almost everything here in 30 mins or less, Schwedagon pagoda, the lake, Chinatown, downtown, train. Ultimately though, it is the staff that really makes this place great. No matter who you see, they are kind, helpful, warm, and friendly. As good as it gets. We ended up staying here twice on our return to Yangon, could not really imagine having a better experience anywhere else.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Personal touch, great breakfast (no buffet, you order from a list: eg my personal favourites were: croissants, pancake with sugar n lime, eggs florentine), great advice from the staff which sights and restaurants to go, location
Cons: Some noise from the small street in front of hotel, but not too much and absolutely tolerable ... (that’s actually more or less a big city syndrome which you find all over the world in centrally located hotels)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly Staff and central location
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The space of the loft, the colors , the light, the location..!
Cons: Nice to stay in a different atmosphere. I loved the 'avant gardiste' style.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and comfortable. Super helpful staff and a really nice welcome.
Cons: Rooms are a bit pricey and corporate feeling, but we didn't spend time hanging around the hotel and would definitely prioritize cleanliness and comfort over style.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located, friendly and helpful staff, pristine clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Interior design taste Location- calm area not far from action Friendly staff Freshly pressed orange juice, warm in-house bread LOccitane toiletry
Cons: Bill in USD then converted into local currency at their rate. Why not invoice in MMK and charge in MMR? Would be more transparent
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the atmosphere, decoration and general feeling of the hotel.
Cons: My room had the bed on a second level. I'd prefer the bed on the same level as the bathroom.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast (high quality food). Stylish room. Clean. Perfectly located.
Cons: 3,7% extra fee if you pay with credit card.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location short walk to Bogyoke Aung San market , shopping center and not too far from Shwedagon pagoda can walk around 30 min. Many restaurants around hotel area. Staffs hotel are very polite and helpful.
Cons: Water pressure pretty weak but still can have a shower but sometime it's very weak. The wood floor make noise when i step on it , just hope the noise not annoying to other room.

Pros: Beautiful hotel in a tranquil oasis, not far from city centre, but feels like a world away. Wonderful service, great food and very comfortable, luxurious rooms. Highly recommend!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The property and its gardens are magnificent and well situated within the town. The rooms are large and quiet and are very well equipped with everything one could possibly need. The pool is wonderful and the birds in the trees chatter constantly. There even is a family of peacocks and a couple of geese in residence. It’s impossible not to love this hotel.
Cons: The restaurant has indoor and outdoor tables which are lovely, but the food doesn’t quite match the location. It’s OK, but not outstanding. The breakfasts, however, are excellent.

Novotel Yangon Max - Yangon - Building
4
9.0 Excellent (7,235 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Indulge yourself in 5-star luxury a 20 minutes' drive from Yangon International airport at Novotel Yangon Max. Contemporary design with Myanmar accent and modern accessories make your room a tranquil retreat. Cool off with a dip in the swimming pool. Watch the famous Shwedagon Pagoda from the pool deck while sipping a cocktail at the Pool Bar.
7.0 Good
Pros: I have stayed in Novotel Yangon for almost all my business trips to Yangon. I feel secured and safe within the area. The staff are trained with high standard and have good command of English. There are many restaurants within the hotel itself. If you are lazy, you can choose from Chinese, Japanese, cafe, pasta and western dinning.
Cons: During this most recent trip, I got free upgrade to the executive room. However, the phone was not working. I tried call the room service and it never got pick up. I have to get changed and pay a visit to reception just to order my "in-room" dinner. I think they linked my phone to the galaxy. After I finished my "in-room" meal, I thought of taking an ice-cold coke from the mini-bar. Adding to my disappointment, the fridge is not working and the coke is WARM... I have to get changed again and visit the executive bar for the ice-cold coke.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice location, walkable distance to Junction Square, Friendly staff. Nice selection of channels on TV.
Cons: Breakfast buffet can be improved, on friday morning they didnt have Myanmar tea available for breakfast, Im a big fan of Myanmar tea. The press iron in my room had some stains, I realised it only after it ruined one of my T-Shirts...this is partly my mistake as I didnt check the press iron surface before using it.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable and quiet. Buffet breakfast with every option you can think of. Great plain yogurt made in-house. All staff are friendly and helpful.
Cons: I was surprised that each day the people who clean the room would move around my personal toiletries. In most hotels it seems that personal items are left alone. The staff are overall attentive and helpful. All of them were perfect. However, the "loyalty" program is aggressive to the point that it feels like harassment when they keep calling you in your room to ask if you like everything and what your personal likes and dislikes are.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff Good breakfast Room is cleaned & comfortable
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed, linen and food
Cons: The room did not have a good view of the university campus with lots of greenery opposite which would have been great.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was fantastic - big selection. The bed was very comfortable. On arrival I was immediately offered late check out and an upgrade in room. I requested they find out about travel to another town and they were back to me with an answer in 15 mins. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
4.0 Okay
Pros: I have stayed at this property several times. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. They have a thorough breakfast buffet, with plenty to make anyone happy.
Cons: The room smelled bad--and the smell did not dissipate over my stay. The carpet was stained--not just with foot traffic but with dark drips and spills. There was a window--but it faced a wall, so the room was quite dark. For me it was too dark to read the documents I needed to work on, even with the dim lighting that is provided. The material on booking.com said the room included a view, so I had not anticipated this problem. I left an electronic toothbrush in the room when I checked out. Although I contacted them later the same day about it, they said nothing was found, which I assume means the cleaners threw it out.
9.1 Excellent
Cons: Tv was about to fall to the ground. It looks dangerous.

Pros: location good clean friendly staffs
Cons: price is a bit high for me
4.6 Okay
Pros: The food is good, the bed is comfy.
Cons: There is a band that plays every night at the poolside. The windows on that side of the building do not stop the sound coming in, so it was very loud for several hours while the band was on.
7.9 Good
Pros: clean location
Cons: a bit expensive staff denied my half hour late check out I requested to check out at 12:30 instead of 12 but they didn't. allow

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Olea is fantastic. Breakfast spread is good too.
Cons: Garbo - the first night I ordered a double shot of a spirit and since it was happy hour (one for one) I got another double shot free, which meant I effectively paid for 2 drinks and that seemed okay. The following night, I ordered a double shot of the same spirit. This time I was charged differently. The double shot was divided as a one for one and when I ordered for my next one, I was told that it’s past 7 pm so I need to order a double shot at the usual rate, which means I paid for 3 drinks. Every, every, every restaurant in the world reminds customers before the happy hour ends. It’s not about paying for the extra drink but about the same place employing different standards on 2 separate nights. I felt very disappointed.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Hotel itself was good but too much events at the hotel was annoying and there was no parking for hotel guest because of those events.
Cons: Especially for car park.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Melia is new (3-4 years) hotel, and room bed cover are using fine fabric, and big bath room. Nice swimming pool , Gym area is big size room .
Cons: No .

5.4 Okay
Pros: Amazing breakfast, friendly staffs
Cons: Stained toilet and dusty bathtub, heavy traffic in front of hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: Convenient space from airport
Cons: Price was high when I book it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast is superb.
Cons: If gym had steam room or sauna, it would be perfect.

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Nice room good wifi clean friendly staff excellent food convenient location nice view from my room (of the Shwedagon Pagoda)
Cons: inadequate gym facilities dining room very crowded at breakfast time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, helpful staff. I forgot I had booked a club room which was well worth a little extra cost.
Cons: Nothing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Chatrium is comparatively cheaper than it was a few years ago, while the friendly and fast service, the facilities, and the restaurants are still of the same high standard as before. More value for money than in the past therefore.
Cons: The only disadvantage was the noise caused by renovations during the day, but that should not last long.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location of the hotel, delicious food, clean rooms, all staff are lovely.
Cons: The breakfast room is a bit small. But the food is delicious and has many varieties.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were the best in any hotel we have stayed in! John even helped us tie our Longhi. The hotel was very clean and the rooms very comfortable and quiet. We had the luxury of the use of the club lounge and staff were extremely kind, helpful and pleasant.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Upgraded on arrival to a suite with spacious living room. Very comfy bed and no sounds of traffic or other guests to disturb our sleep. Lovely swimming pool area. Breakfast was impressive! Continental, American, Chinese, Indian and local choices you can pig out on for hours. Excellent staff. Walkable to Shwedagon Pagoda (or if it's way too hot, take the free shuttle that operates from the hotel every two hours from 10am - 4pm daily).
Cons: Toilet cistern and bathroom sink had some annoying leakage issues. No free airport pick-up/drop-off service, but taxis will cost only 10,000 kyat anyway. Reception gave us a buck less when returning deposit... not much at all but the gesture ticked off hubby a tad haha.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The quality of the hotel
Cons: Normally we like more low key accommodations but it was great because my wife and I were sick and we needed to recover quickly.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: I liked that service at the hotel. Once you entered, you were greeted immediately and taken care of. I was able to check in early and get my room earlier than check in time. The staff was very attentive and you could see that they tried their very best (especially the housekeeping team).
Cons: The pool bathrooms. Because I had a late flight and wanted to freshen up prior to my flight, I had access to the pool / gym bathrooms to freshen up and it did not live up to my expectation as it felt like it was literally a bathroom / shower in a hut. It needs to be regularly cleaned by the hotel.
Hotel G Yangon - Yangon - Bedroom
8
8.9 Excellent (2,561 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Hotel G Yangon, you'll be centrally located in Yangon, a 9-minute walk from Bogyoke Market and 10 minutes by foot from Junction City. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours), and free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: After a couple of months in Asia this place was a breath of fresh air - very modern (you could imagine you were in London / Madrid / Sydney) with great customer service and funky features. We loved the gym - it’s a membership gym for locals so had loads of modern equipment plus filtered water. The rooms were a bit poky but we couldn’t fault them otherwise: comfy beds and good aircon.
Cons: Nitpicking really: the shower and toilet cubicles open directly into the room where the sink area is, didn’t bother us but possibly a little less private than a closed off room if that kind of thing is important to you. The restaurant is lovely and serves delicious food but is really expensive for Yangon- they seem to get a lot of US / European / Australian business clientele so maybe that’s how they get away with it!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The theme for the hotel is really cool and it has a really really good gym
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very helpful: change the room to a quiet side, brought additional water
Cons: The room was a bit small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely modern room, nice breakfast and good location near to the train station.
Cons: There were a lot of ants in our room. Mostly these were focussed on one wall and window so we could move our things out of the way.
6.0 Good
Pros: Great location. Separate shower from toilet and really nice rain head with good pressure. Good finishes and style. Clean. Good food in restaurant.
Cons: Small room - bed and no space for stuff or walking around, no room service though restaurant on first floor, concierges were somewhat helpful but not too knowledgeable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was good. Walking distance from a bakery monster cheese and a convenience store. Room layout was modern and chic. Electrical outlets are compatible with a range of types so we didn't need to bring a converter.
Cons: No hooks in the shower stall so we had to hang the towel over the door. No pool.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good- the breakfast items were of good quality though limited in variety. Very good waffle and mohinga. Central location too. Convenient bus transportation to/from airport. Helpful staff.
Cons: Would be great if the bathroom is bigger and has room for railings or hooks to hang clothes.

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was superb. Room was big and comfy.
Cons: Reception staff was very friendly but not really on point. When I asked for transportation to the site were al the night busses departure, the receptionist told me it was only a short walk away. In reality it was more than an hour drive by taxi. Glad I double checked with locals and ordered that taxi in time!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely pool and very helpful staff. Nice comfortable bed and room.
Cons: Agree with the comments on food costs, it was the most expensive place in Myanmar of my trip, but not the best in terms of quality (possiblythe poorest). And Taxi quote to airport was $35 but cost $5 on grab... that's some mark up despite the added safety that brings!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: everything is very good in this hotel. It is a bit old but the maintenance is sound. the staff are very helpful and quick. With a large guest room, the value for money is top rank.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The food, the setting, the room - we were given an upgrade at the last minute and the room was magical, with an amazing bathtub. The breakfast set-up was an experience in and of itself and very well arranged. Service was great.
Cons: It is just a very expensive hotel in contrast to similar hotels. I would like to stay more often (or another night) but unfortunately can not afford the extreme cost. I think they would be busier if they had better prices.

6.7 Good
Pros: Guest rooms are huge with fantastic views, comfortable bed. Clean.
Cons: We booked this property because of the gym and pool, but were unable to use either due to a full crew taking over. The property neglected to tell us about this and suggested we use the facilities when filming was complete - which would be after we had checked out. Communication here is not great at all.
5.0 Okay
Pros: 21st floor restaurant was very nice with spectacle view.
Cons: Some staffs especially at reception are not well trained and rude. They are grumpy face and too slow for check in process. I have used this hotel for 3 times so far, and every time very staffs are like this treat for me. Rooms are clean but one thing i don't like is they don't have hot water. Breakfast was awesome.

Pros: I moved to Lotte Hotel during my last night in Yangon. I was suprised that I was picked up by the hotel as "Guest of the Day" and was upgraded. I got free access to Club Lounge and they even put a tray of sweets in my room. My stay was perfect. I used the swimming pool, sauna and gym. The view of Inya Lake was so relaxing. Pros: The staff are very warm, pleasant and respond promptly to requests. Love the local myanmarese soups. The croissants and quiches are excellent. Friendly atmosphere all round, great service and to top it all, a fantastic location.
Cons: The Indian food section can be improved. The appam fell short of expectations. It was too heavy. It will be good if we can have sweet appam, with Jaggery and coconut milk. I missed the delicious avocado juice and salads served at Novotel. Include avocado as fruit juice!
