5.4 Okay
Pros: The view is wonderful and hotel was clean and cozy
Cons: I didn't like the fact that we were charged 100$ for a massage in an awful spa! False advertising as a 5star when they are a three star hotel maximum! Our massages we later found out were given by the gardener and the housekeeper! I'd like to file a complaint as when I said we were unsatisfied, the front desk manager just shrugged her shoulders and offered us nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is exceptional. They take such great care of you, and their Peruvian restaurant is fantastic! We absolutely loved it!
7.5 Good
Pros: Excellent location and service
Cons: Guide was not great and arrangements for Machu Picchu could have been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is in the end of town which is nice and quiet compares to being right in the center. The staffs were amazing from the moment we stepped off the train to the time we left the facility. They went above and beyond to make sure guests are taking care of. They delivered the luggages to the train station for us after we checked out and went to Machu Picchu. My husband forgot his "favorite" pants and they had an employee who happened to go Cusco delivered the pants to us. We're so thankful for their amazing customer service.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were amazing and the food was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent! They were courteous, professional, and very prompt. We were made very welcome immediately and the service remained until they dropped us off at the train station to leave. The location is perfect for visiting Machu Picchu and is conveniently located close enough to the town to sight see but far enough out not to be overly crowded. The food in the restaurant was amazing in taste, quantity, and display. The concierge was very helpful whether it was getting tickets for Machu Picchu or booking the cooking class. Every member of the staff treated my wife and I as if we were the only guests in the hotel. It was that kind of personal service where they even took the time to learn our names prior to talking with us.
Cons: I really can't think of anything bad to say about or stay at the hotel.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, super friendly staff and are willing to help you especially when things are wrong with pre booked tours (yes this can happen). Karen was extremely help - thanks again :) The breakfast had plenty of variety. The evening meal is also excellent (3 course meal included) It is not huge portion - the food is done in style and design.
Cons: Honestly it was a lovely stay. It is unfortunate that the only option is half board. I would also recommend to have better child menu choices for appies or to have no appies and go right to main dish.
Overview Reviews
Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is in the heart of Machu Picchu, within a 10-minute walk of Cerro Machupicchu and Aguas Calientes Hot Springs. Featured amenities include a computer station, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The jungle surrounding the lodge it’s stunning! We got upgraded to a bigger room with fireplace and terrace which we both used and adored! It was pouring down with rain when we were there, which made it even more fascinating! The restaurant and bar are equally good, and the staff is extremely helpful and try their best to satisfy all your needs. It’s sad to read bad reviews about this place because it can’t get any better than this in Machu Picchu Pueblo! (Which is a fairly ugly village literally built on the railway!) Keep in mind you are in the middle of a thick jungle only reachable via train (which does not exceed 30km/hrs) with all the complications that this may cause. Yes it’s a bit pricey, but in the room rate breakfast and dinner are both included, together with being collected or escorted to the train upon arrival or departure with all your luggage. Highly recommended!
Cons: It would need a bit of renovation here and there... They use a lot of leather and velvet in their furniture which with all the jungle humidity sometimes smells funny.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel have tour and was amazing. The cuisine is wonderful.
Cons: The shower temperature was not control well but doesn’t matter.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Tropical forest surroundings. The hotel is located within around 10 minutes walking distance. The staff met us at the train station and helped us carry our luggage to hotel. Dinner and breakfast are good.
Cons: Slippers are not available. Room had unpleasant smell and was humid.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our experience was spectacular, the surroundings where serene. We had the best restful sleep on our trip, the rooms where large and well decorated with a large window facing the wilderness, with a lovely chimney. The food was delicious and the hospitality was exceptional, the staff went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. We would definitely return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fireplace in room ready to light and enjoy! Super comfy chairs and couch with bird watching views Nature trails and bird watching guides were great. Food was excellent Staff was terrific, friendly, if anything, over explaining the hotel offerings.
Cons: Lots of rough stone steps between entrance and rooms (48) like a four story walk up. But nestled in scenic river gorge, this was a small price to pay.
6.0 Good
Cons: We were only able to stay for one out of the two nights we had booked for. This was no fault of ours since our flights had been changed. The hotel refused to refund or even partially refund us the night we couldn’t stay despite us letting them know in advance, as soon as we knew. This cost us approximately $1000 ! It is not a cheap hotel! We were treated badly over this not by the Inkaterra staff but by a concierge in Lima, who we were put through to speak to. The way we were treated completely coloured our whole experience. We were there for a once in a lifetime visit to Machu Picchu and a big part of the day we arrive was spent trying to sort this out. It was very stressful. Such a shame. I believe the hotel could have been more gracious since they would have been able to sell our room for the second night, thus making twice the money on the same room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel creates a wonderful ambience with it architecture, furnishings, finishes and landscaping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our server in the dining room, Jorge, was fantastic
Cons: Pool and hot tubs were filled with mountain water which was a little brown in color

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Cost is certainly high up there. Since we were staying only for one night, it was OK. If it was more than one night, we probably would have looked at other options.
Cons: Cost
9.7 Excellent
Pros: It was beautiful and serene. My mom and I opened the windows and slept to the sound of the roaring river. It was magnificent. At the price we paid, we just wish we had free water for the entire stay. You are not allowed to drink the water, that includes using bottles water for brushing your teeth. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. The view was magnificent. Make sure you ask for eggs from the person working at breakfast. They are free, but are made to order. You won't get any if you don't ask.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were clean and with a view; Staff was helpful and friendly
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect except one.
Cons: Poor WIFI
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location by the train station and bus stop. Easy walk to town. Had a room facing the river which was nice. Room was spacious and clean.
Cons: Seems a little expensive
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice rooms and comfortable beds
Cons: Noisy room due to the river at the backside, no good sound isolation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After an exhilarating and exhausting day visiting the Sacred Valley, This hotel was perfect for rejuvenating before the next day's trip to Machu Pichu. The jacuzzi tub felt like heaven. They provided snacks, a very comfortable bed, and a fabulous space close to the train station. Thank you!!
Belmond Sanctuary Lodge - Machu Picchu - Building
4
9.1 Excellent (320 reviews)
$1,744+
Overview Reviews
Belmond Sanctuary Lodge is the only hotel located adjacent to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu and the best point by which to explore the beautiful surrounding area. The Lodge is located only 50 meters from the main entrance to the archaeological site. Only the select few who stay at the Lodge have access to the ruins both before and after the throngs of tourists arrive and depart from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. The benefit of exploring the ruins when they are relatively empty is not to be underestimated, and a key benefit of staying at the Lodge. The magnificent gardens at the Lodge boast stunning views across Machu Picchu and are a popular location for breakfast, as well as champagne at any time. They also offer the perfect location in which to relax during your stay. The gardens are located at the back of the main building, where you can find a great variety of native plants and flowers, including many orchids. Offering luxury accommodation, simply composed Peruvian cuisine with delightful little touches, Belmond Sanctuary Lodge is the perfect place to relax and unwind in the shadow of the Lost City. Facilities include two restaurants, bar, limited business services, gift shop and Internet terminals for guest use. Complimentary high-speed wireless Internet service is available in guestrooms and public areas. Rates include breakfast, lunch and dinner or breakfast only in the Lodge's restaurant, depending on the rate plan purchased. Concierge, room service and laundry services are available. Accommodations reflect the casual, intimate atmosphere of a home away from home. There are two suites and twenty-nine rooms, twelve of which feature amazing views of the mountains. Amenities available in all rooms and suites include complimentary wireless Internet access, high-definition LCD widescreen TV with movie channels, iPod dock, DVD player and lending library, dual 110v-220v voltage, ceiling fan, mini-bar, personal safe, desk, bottled water and windows that open for fresh air.
5.4 Okay
Pros: +Great Location +breakfast service
Cons: -The hotel is not 5 Star but 4 star hotel as we found out -Very very tiny small room. At least the one we received - The „5-star“ hotel had „tea-/coffee maker“ in the room but there were none. (The staff confirmed the description of room amenities was not up-to-date and brought the tea into room) -Overall, we had much higher expectations to his hotel after such a price.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Great food. Pretty enjoy my stay.
Cons: Nothing
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. It is located at the entrance to Machu Picchu. Service was good. Dinner was tasty
Cons: The rooms were on the small side. The restaurant was overpriced . The hotel modest for the price.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Unique in its genre!! A few meters away from the entrance to visit the archeological site, this hotel offers everything you need for a day or two in the jungle. A good restaurant, a bar with an experienced barman, Alejandro, who teaches you how to make a proper Pisco Sour (simply delicious). The rooms are not huge, I mean, we are on top of a mountain only reachable via a stiff zigzag road, but it is equipped with all comforts and amenities! We got upgraded to a room with terrace from which you can access the cozy garden, simply divine. Make sure to have a walk in their private path above the hotel, you can see the ruins through the thick jungle.
Cons: It would need a slight renovation here and there but I guess that reaching this valley (only served by trains that do not exceed 30km/hrs) and such a busy stiff road to get on the top of the mountain makes it very unpractical....
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was amazing and the food was excellent! I highly recommend to have all meal including. P.S. Don’t forget to order Chicha Morada!!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: outstanding room (36) with free fridge and even alcoholics, the bed was like heaven and the linen quality suberb ( like silk).personnel extrem helpful in every regard. the position can not be better and u maximise the time for the fullest visiting the sites. food also of surprising quality in consideration where we are in the outback. can only highly recommend this hotel
Cons: food slightly expensive but worth it ( hey.. u spend already so much to be there so don,t safe on the final steps.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location just beside Machu Picchu however the price is a little bite expensive
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Staff, especially Antonio is very friendly. Rooms as great.
Cons: I've tried to contact the hotel for extra programs but they never replied
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staying right at the entrance to Machu Picchu. Great breakfast and service.
Cons: Since it is located in a protected area, there is no AC in the rooms and it can get really hot! It is the most expensive hotel in the area but you are paying for the location
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible location at the entrance to Machu Picchu. Lovely patio and terrace area. Loved the pisco tasting session in the bar. The staff were really lovely and Marco and Rhay were really kind and helpful.
Cons: The shower in our room stopped working mid shower. Breakfast wasn’t included in the very high room rate. So value for money was disappointing. Not as luxurious as other Belmond properties. Also some issues with payment errors at checkout.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: You can not fault the Belmont .Excellent as usual
Cons: I have corrected every one since my arrival about how they were calling me It’s irritating when a women is called Mr To start with then assume she should be a Mrs. These kind of mistakes must never happen in high end hotels where staff should be trained at the highest level of etiquette

Cons: Overpriced like everything in Aguascalientes
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location, staff super nice, room was nice.
Cons: Breakfast is very westernised. Expenssive for what it is.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful.
Cons: Breakfast was very disappointing
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great. Really appreciated the service the hotel provided taking our bags to and from the train station to the hotel. Hotel stored our bags while we visited Machu Picchu, and a porter was waiting with our bags at the train station at the recommended 30 mins before our return train departure. Breakfast was available as early as 5am, so we could make it to Machu Picchu by 6am.
Cons: Visa machine was not working. Staff was accommodating and allowed me a work-around. This is apparently a common issue in Aguas Calientes due to its remoteness. Crisp dollars would work, but they must be very crisp to be acceptable for some reason.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff. From Susan at the front desk to the escort from the train station to the restaurant staff it made for a comfortable 3 night stay. Loved our view of the river and mountains from room 405.
Cons: zero
8.3 Excellent

Pros: It was basic but a Peruvian style property that is really all that is needed for a short stay in Machu Picchu Pueblo. Quiet location, amazing views from the rooms of the river (just as good as Sumaq two doors down and 1/10 of the price).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was the perfect spot to stay before exploring Machu Picchu. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and even had a little balcony! You could see and hear the river rushing by, very pleasant. Hot shower and magnificent breakfast (that they start serving at 4:30 in the morning). Highly recommend — would stay again!
7.9 Good
Pros: River view from the room. Just in front of the Machu Picchu sign. Room decoration was lovely. Very traditional. Had room amenity such as shampoo and conditioner. Free rental for hair dryer.
Cons: The room was tiny. Maybe not enough space for big suitcases. No elevator.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A few minute walk from the bus station, and the second closest hotel in the pueblo of Machupicchu to the 2ish hour hike up the mountain--so it's ideal for anyone going up to Machu Picchu on wheels or by foot. They serve a nice buffet style breakfast at 4:30AM with a friendly employee (didn't catch his name) who doesn't seem to mind working that early. Went their with my father, and it was a great time! Would stay there again
Cons: nothing!

Highly recommend staying here -Lisa and John
Cons: The shower never got hot.. warm, but not hot

Pros: The staff was amazing! The front desk guy was so awesome! He met us at the train station, helped us print our Machu Picchu tickets, and even after check out let us keep our bags there so we would t have to carry them around while we explored before our train home.
Cons: There seemed to be some confusion with my reservation. It was a last minute booking and through hotels.com to book.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well located, friendly staff, clean facilities
5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed was good, the location is good, and the staff is very helpful.

10.0 Excellent
Cons: We were not able lock doors because of defect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our reservation got messed up somehow and our spa booking never happened and they bent over backwards to fix the situation and ultimately upgraded us and gave us a round of pisco sours on them. Their staff was so sweet and remembered us, they always made us felt very well taken care of.
Cons: Ended up in the suite - there were very few outlets compared to other places we stayed at. If you have a few people that may be something to prepare for.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff! We loved our welcoming cocktails!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to everything! Very convenient location.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fernando at reception was great. He recommended good restaurants and got us an English speaking guide for Machu Picchu.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: staff is pleasant Décor and looks are ok breakfast is average there is a option for omlette ( included, no additional cost)
Cons: very cramped space, small rooms, short beds not enough for 6 ft person. Bathrooms are very small. Whole hotel is about 100 feet wide. very poor internet in the rooms, ok internet in the lobby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very central to town. Right next to the place that the bus to Machu Picchu leaves from.
Cons: The water in the river is misleading since its mostly a dry stream through a majority of the year except the rainy season. The wifi didn’t work in our room. And the train passed right in front of the entrance. While this was a novelty, it did get a little loud at times.
7.0 Good
Pros: Located at the railway station, close to Machu Picchu bus station Breakfasts were good Hotel advised us a guide before we arrived (which was not that good though) Room was clean and pretty
Cons: We were proposed to be met at the station, but the hotel staff just forgot about it, so we spent 15 minutes waiting under the rain before we decided to find hotel by ourselves The price, which was originally proposed by the staff was 2 times higher than one we had at booking.com. This was easily fixed though Rooms are a bit wet because of the river None of the above is critical, but these are the last things you want to worry about when you pay so much for 1 night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view of the river is amazing, the staff are so friendly and accommodating
Cons: I feel their prices in comparison to other places with the same view were a little high but overall I would stay there again
9.4 Excellent
Cons: Hotel was very nice - the room i had was extraordinary due to its view and feeling that you were hovering above the rapid river outside the window. Lastly the staff was very kind and went out of their way for me. In particular the front desk girl Chris was absolutely spot on with her recommendations and her attentiveness to all my sometimes difficult travel requests. I travel a great deal and it is rare that I find a person that was that helpful and aware of what my needs would be as a short term traveler to a historic site like Machu Picchu.
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Hotel Casa de Luz - Pequeña Casita in Machu Picchu, you'll be in the historical district, and a 4-minute walk from Aguas Calientes Hot Springs and 5 minutes by foot from Cerro Machupicchu. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is very clean and perfectly located within minutes of the rail station and any restaurant in town. Also, the Machupicchu bus queue is literally just outside its door! What’s even more amazing is the staff. They go beyond kindness. They will do their best to help you. I left to catch my train and was already on my way in the middle of the crowded market, when the man from reception tapped me on the shoulder to give me my wallet, which I forgot on their reception couch. I highly recommend them.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great - very near bus to Machu Picchu and just across from the market. Hotel was very clean and the staff were very, very helpful.
Cons: Our only problem was that there was NO hot water for a shower that night. We had traveled a long way and walked around Aguas Calientes and would liked to have taken a shower but the water was much too cold. Also, no A/C but it was cool outside so we left the window open.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: hot shower, warm (freshly cooked egg) breakfast available from 5am, convenient location for everything
Cons: as the room was facing the road where people queue-up for bus to Machupicchu, it gets noisy from 5am. if you plan to go to Machu Picchu in the morning, this becomes a good alarm clock, though :-)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Best location in Aqua Calientes. Very near with Bus Station and Railway station. Many restaurants around the hotel. If you like souvenirs or like to shopping, stay at this hotel. Very near with this hotel. All the staffs are very helpful. This is the third time to go Machupicchu and this is the best hotel according my opinion. Will stay again if come back to explore Machpicchu.
Cons: Quite busy every morning with many tourist queque in front of the hotel going to Machpicchu. But it is oke, because we must get up early in the morning to prepare our activity.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff and the view
Cons: -
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, friendly and helpful staff
7.5 Good
Pros: It has a good position for the Machu Picchu bus.

Overview Reviews
With a stay at Adelas Hostal in Machu Picchu, you'll be within a 10-minute walk of Aguas Calientes Hot Springs and Cerro Machupicchu. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved our accommodation. It is close to the train station but you cannot hear the train at all if you stay on the riverside. The view is incredible and the sound of the river is very relaxing to sleep to. The gentleman at the counter was great. He explained all the trek options in Spanish and we understood him clearly. He provided a map to show us where to purchase bus tickets. Breakfast is served a la carte cooked fresh for when you are ready. Breakfast starts very early for those travelling to Machu Picchu in the early hours.
Cons: Nothing. It was perfect.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: nice staff close to train station let's us store out bags next day and use wifi
Cons: the local forex rate they used which was clearly inflated. 2.86 rather that they used a normal rate and that the booking showed a more true value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: View was amazing and we liked the food on site for the great deal. They accommodated our early departure to include our breakfast. Would definitely recommend.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the welcome we received and the constant help with all our needs from the beginning to the end. Tito was wonderful. !!
Cons: Our bathroom had a leak but with that magnificent view it certainly wasn’t our main priority!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed staying here. Loved the hot shower!! My friend and I were very happy about that. Our host was incredibly sweet and helpful with whatever we needed. Room was very clean. It was convienently located - 4 min from the train station and about 5 min to the Machu Picchu bus stop.
Cons: I guess the downside would be we had the side where the train passes through, so it was loud. However, it didn't really both us and after Machu Picchu, we completely knocked out. The other side is the river and maybe would've been more quiet? The one thing that did really bother us is after we got our laundry done from them (they take it to another place), was that we had some pinkish/reddish marks on some of our clothes. It was minor but didn't realize it until it was too late. We couldn't figure out what it was exactly, and it seems to slowly come off...? Other than that, everything was great.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Had a room on the river - beautiful view. Nice and convenient location, helpful staff that answered all our questions about Machu Picchu visit. Breakfast included and available really early enabled us to get something to eat before the first bus for MP left
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk staff very friendly! Breakfast was great! Love the restaurant !
7.4 Good
Pros: At first glance we thought Adelas was in perfect location! 5 minute walk from PeruRail station and the Machu Picchu bus stop. The room was comfortable for the price. Clean sheets and towels.
Cons: Our room was faced the railroad tracks so as we tried to rest early for our Machu Picchu trek we would hear a loud train speed by and honk an extremely loud horn. The last train passed around 11:30pm... We were in bed at 9pm and could not sleep. It would be nice if the hotel offered ear plugs to help guests sleep.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything is perfect and the price is really good.
Cons: I loved the place!
6.0 Good
Pros: They picked us up at the train station with a sign, even tho we hadn't planned it. super organised! really cheerful. friendly staff super location
Cons: pretty basic, no water in the room. Served the purpose - a quick overnight stay on our way up tot machu pichu. Arrived at 10pm, showered, slept and left at 5am.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Friendly welcome and great staff. They went out of their way to help us. We asked for directions to a restaurant--since they didn't speak much English, the gal just walked us to the restaurant instead of trying to explain it. We were able to get a room on the river side. We did not hear the trains at night. Slept well in the room. Room had a TV but did not turn it on. Large windows that you needed to crack open to keep moisture out. Nice HOT showers. Complimentary decent breakfast in the morning. Free Wifi that worked well in the common areas. Water available for purchase. Good location. Hotel held our luggage while we were at MP. They took our credit cards.
Cons: No outlets in the bathroom, small beds but ok for two nights, no safe in room but our belongings were fine.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: View of river was amazing
Cons: Rooms weren’t exactly what we ordered. We were supposed to have 3 doubles and ended up with 2 and a single. But it all worked out as they discounted for us.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean rooms Really hot showers with a Lot of pressure Your stay Includes a Welcome Drink (Cocktail) The staff (Ruth) is really nice and the breakfast delicious, with fresh scrambled eggs, start serving at 4:15 already, perfect If you want to hike Macchu picchu early :)
Cons: It can be noisy since it's located right next to the train station Bathroom was a Bit small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: good location, good atmosphere, kind of clean, bathroom is quiet nice
Cons: towel fee is 5 sol. there are many steps in hostel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, breakfast at 4 am.
Cons: The Room and bathrooms smell weird. No wi-fi in the Room. Poor breakfast.
7.0 Good
Pros: Cheapest dorm bed in Aguas Calientes. Nice rooftop bar/restaurant. The evening staff at the bar was really nice, and at check in we each got a free welcome drink for happy hour.
Cons: There was no hot water during my one night stay. Also, there was no soap in the very tiny bathroom for the 6-bed dorm. WiFi was also quite weak, except in the common areas. I’ve heard the transience of guests in Aguas Calientes makes for some lackluster customer service, but I was still surprised when I experienced it after reception and at breakfast. Breakfast was just bread, jam, some fruit. When I asked the staff at the bar if they could refill the milk jug for coffee, he simply looked at the jug and said there was no more. Last thing: the hostel’s kind of far from everything. After a 3-hour hike, I wasn’t looking forward to walking up hills/stairs to find dinner in town.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and the rooms were cosy with en-suite so you didn’t have to go out every time. Staff was also helpful and generally rooms were quite clean. Recommended
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t the greatest but probably because they serve it very early and wasn’t much left.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Saul and Rosemary are very nice and helpful. The property is in a great location if you want to walk to MP. Burger is really nice
Cons: Wifi is terrible

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing!
4.6 Okay
Pros: The beds were comfortable
Cons: The room was too hot and the advertised ‘aircon’ was blew cool (not cold) air from the front and boiling hot air out the back into the room. It was so hot we couldn’t sleep. Not ideal when you’re getting up at 4 for Machu Picchu. Also right opposite the train station. Very poor value for the price. Wouldn’t stay there again.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The only reason to go to Aguas Calientes is the proximity to Macchu Pichu. The hotel is located just outside the market and within walking distance to the MP buses and lots of restaurants.
Cons: It's close to the train tracks so you have to keep your (double-paned) windows closed.
6.7 Good
Pros: This hotel was right in the middle of the small town. It was easy to walk to train station, restaurants, and market areas. The TV in the room was able to get ESPN3 which was utmost important for us to watch Clemson in Fiesta Bowl. Nice shower, but could have been a little cleaner. Bottled water was in room for a fee.
Cons: The room was very small. The door to bathroom couldn’t open without hitting one of the beds. No air conditioning in rooms so you needed to open window for air. Although hotel provided breakfast, it ended at 8:30. Could not use towels for face. Signs all over bathroom stating if any makeup or dirt showed on towel, a 30.00 charge(USD) would apply. Also only 2 towels per room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Central and close Bathroom was in good condition and working good
Cons: The breakfast was a bit thin
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect. Very central. 2 min from train Station, 5 min from the bus stop for MachuPicchu. Very good breakfast. Rooms absolutely comfortable and clean.
Cons: Nothing except maybe only that no drinking water provided for free.

Pros: location near the main plaza, staff attentiveness
Cons: wish they had an elevator :-)
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were really nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable. Location was good.
Cons: The property didn't live up to the photos, I was hoping to have an afternoon in the jacuzzi but it was not in use. It is advertised as a Boutique Hotel but its more of a Hostel
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location and comfort
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cozy hotel with amazing wiew and very good stuff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a most wonderful place to stay. Fantastic value, super friendly and accommodating staff! Breakfast is really good and ample selection. Rooms are really nice, beds very comfortable and great views! Close to bus train and main plaza.
Cons: Loved everything....no downsides...
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: The hotel did not meet our expectation. I am very surprised of all the great reviews! The wall was very moldy and the room was smelly. The bathroom decor and furnishing was bad and the room was humid. Please see pictures attached. After taking a shower, the water can not be drained.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very comfortable room with a fantastic view of the square and the mountains, including a small balcony. The bed was comfortable and warm and also a Tv with English channels which is quite rare here it seems. Breakfast was good too. Checkin is early at 12 but so is checkout at 10am but they are happy to look after your luggage whilst you explore the town. Highly recommended.
Cons: Swimming pool is somewhat more of a dipping pool so better to try the hot springs if you want a dip ;)
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were very friendly and helped us out! The hotel is nicely placed with a great view. Can warmly recommend this hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, excellent and varied breakfast. Gringo Bill's is a classic for a reason; the staff are helpful and on the ball and the room itself was clean, well lit, and very comfortable (if a bit damp, but that's to be expected in Aguas Calientes). Everything worked as expected. The complimentary welcome drink was a nice touch, too.
Cons: The only reservation I'd have about staying here again is that the place is kind of a rabbit warren of rooms strung up the side of a hill, so there are a lot of stairs to navigate. The pool and jacuzzi were also unusable, though I'd expected that, so be aware that they may not be in operation during your stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the couple's corner room with the view of the river and mountains. It was an incredible view and clean hotel. We absolutely LOVED it!
Cons: Breakfast only went until 10am. We slept in one day and weren't able to get the complementary breakfast. Other than that, it was a great hotel experience..
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The kitchen staff were very nice and helpful. The room we got was so great as it faced the river with a view of the mountain. The room was big and clean.
Cons: The hotel had no water when we arrived. We were told that it would be back in 3 hours. It finally came back after 6 hours. They made up for it by offering us a complimentary dinner from their set menu.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was amazing. We checked in Thursday, March 5th around 9:00 pm in the evening. I wish I could remember the name of the front desk host because he was so nice. He met us at the train station, got wine for us and ensured that we had breakfast when we woke up at 6:00 before heading to Machu Picchu. The breakfast/dinner room staff - a very young man was so nice and attentive. The rooms were very clean and we were very happy staying there. Thank you
Cons: The coffee in the coffee pot was not warm.
6.3 Good
Pros: Breakfast, location and the confy bed.
Cons: Kitchen closes at 9.30pm, the same time our train arrived. Walking from the station and check in procedures took us half an hour, and since all the decent restaurants in the city close at 10pm, we didn't have dinner and went to sleep starving; room was smelly, and water leaked from the shower to the bathroom floor.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: So close to the railroad and the bus station. Good for one night
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room and bathroom is clean, the bed is comfort, location near station, can print ticket with free, smiling staff, good breakfast
Cons: The sliding door of bathroom not properly working. No drink water (in bottle) in room
5.4 Okay
Pros: Good location, helpful stuff
Cons: They gave us a underground room which is really cold and wet
9.6 Excellent
Pros: View to the river + location
Cons: Too high humidity and cold in the rooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Exceptional value for clean rooms, incredibly friendly and helpful staff, and a full breakfast with many options. Showers were hot, linens were clean, and there were no hidden charges, or unexpected hiccups. I've paid much more for rooms half as nice.
Cons: I'm easily pleased; this was a gem of a find. I was worried at first with a location directly adjacent to the train tracks, but the train was a dull rumble in the background, and not an issue.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent staff at front desk.

Cons: Noisy room due to the river at the backside, no good sound isolation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: After an exhilarating and exhausting day visiting the Sacred Valley, This hotel was perfect for rejuvenating before the next day's trip to Machu Pichu. The jacuzzi tub felt like heaven. They provided snacks, a very comfortable bed, and a fabulous space close to the train station. Thank you!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable, the ventilation was good. Best hotel breakfast we had in Peru. The sound of the wild river next to the hotel is very soothing. They pick up from and deliver your luggage to the train station.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk people very nice. Beautiful hotel with very good breakfast.
Pros: Clean and well positioned
Cons: A bit noisy as close to Urubamba River

Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Location, Staff, Clean, nice hotel in general
Cons: There are ongoing construction on both sides of the hotel, Noisy
9.2 Excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay and people. The owner and his staff were so warm and kind, really made us welcome every way they could. Really good breakfast, super large comfy bed and the terrace is a great place to put your feet up, take in the river and mountains and watch the world go by after your day trips.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast that started at 4:30am for those people who want to go to Machu Picchu early. They also allowed us to store our bags while we left for MP. Overall would highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: They helped us enjoy our short time in Aguas Calientes by giving us information on where to go and what we should plan on for enjoying Machu Picchu.
