Cons: We had dinner only once at the Hotel. The quality was not impressive, and moreover we were seated (all on our own) in the bar although we had reserved, because there was a large party occupying the full restaurant. So we decided not to have dinner at this restaurant on the other nights of our stay.

Pros: This is a wonderful hotel that has earned a five star rating that is well deserved. The location is excellent with plenty of charming restaurants within walking distance and beautiful views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvio from the roof-top terrace. It was nice to be away from the busy city center. The hotel's signature restaurant is well worth the splurge. The quality of service across the board was outstanding. In particular, the reception and concierge desk staff were extremely helpful, providing assistance with tour bookings and a few issues with my new cell phone! The same can be said for staff at the roof-top terrace and in the dining room. Everyone was extremely attentive to my needs and very gracious.

Cons: They need to update the hotel a bit it's very dated it's like stepping into 1945. They need to make the hotel like Thr terrace they have on the very top there is a restaurant there and it's the only area of the hotel that I would consider a 5. Star.they should use the style of that restaurant for the entire hotel.

Cons: This hotel is massive and they are used to catering on a large scale. There is absolutely no way it should be classified as 5*. It’s just not good enough. There was no 5* treatment and it was expensive because of the rating. €40 to park the car and complimentary bottles of water. The bed was rock hard and the shower leaked water everywhere. Breakfast was salty and cold. We did not use the spa or the gym to be fair, the view from the cocktail bar was fab but at €20 per drink, it was an extortionate rate to view a volcano. Naples is not for the faint hearted, this hotel is situated in a poor part of Naples on an industrial port. It’s not the most glamourous of locations. Outside of the hotels are loads of resturants.

Cons: The Hotel Vesuvio is promoted as one of the most exclusive hotels in Naples. Well, we have been quite disappointed with our stay. The only positive thing is the central location, directly at the promenade. But the rooms definitely need to be refurbished. The money for value is for sure disappointing. Breakfast is OK, service was nice. But I rather have a refurbished room (especially the bahtroom!!) than getting the bed sheets changed every day. I guess people come back because of the "legend" this hotel used to be. But we have noticed during our stay that it is definitey not worth it to spend so much money for such little value.

Cons: The neighborhood was terrible= Naples looked like it was rundown with crime from where this hotel was situated. The room was small and somehow, the shower opened directly to the bed. The lights in the room were on a sensor- so if you are showering and not moving, the lights shut off within 60 seconds. on my high standard, the hotel was essentially built to try and be a 5star, but failed to get there. the beds were terrible as well- 5 star hotel, i expect a queen or a king bed that is not a stiff European bed on a board. If you want a 5star luxury hotel, its not that. But it was nice.

Cons: The view, not to the sea, but to a store house(?). The immediate surroundings around the hotel are not very nice, but you are close to everything.

Cons: Strange design of the hotel interior - combination of the multiple large mirrors, glass walls and the polished black walls everywhere create so much reflections from the lighting fixtures and sunlight that it is overwhelming for the eyes and a little disorienting. Very complicated locations of multiple light switches illogically positioned to the point of frustration to find which switch controls what lamp. The staff leaves an instruction card with the map of all the switches every day after servicing the room - the sign that the management understands the problem for the guests. The breakfast area designed as a ship captain's bridge opens a beautiful view on the port and the Mount Vesuvius. The problem is that one can't eat the breakfast facing that view because the glaring shine of the rising sun unless one wears a welder's protective glasses.

Cons: Mattress, Pillows. The mattress 100% requires replacing. It’s very firm & I did consider switching to the floor. It’s best days are done. Pillows are the same. Breakfast. Waiting to be seated, we ended up seating ourselves. Overall selection was quite bland. Soggy scrambled eggs is a no-no. So many people wanted breakfast that there wasn’t enough. You had to wait & wait. Improvement required in this area.

There are a lot of cafes and restaurants in a walking distance to the hotel. There are also some important tourist attractions near the hotel. The hotel has a nice roof terrace on the 11th floor where you can enjoy the breakfast looking over the city. The breakfast is ok, as you have some good options for all the tastes. The room was very clean with a big comfortable bad. Very friendly staff at the entrance to open the door or help with baggage.

Cons: The hotel is in a sketchy area and the room I had was noisy. I would not go out after dark. I was sexually harassed on the street one night while I was trying to get dinner. During the day was okay though. The room was also cold at night and no matter what setting I put the thermostat at the temperature never changed. The tv and treadmill in the fitness center did not work. Also, the business center was not available due to renovations. In addition, I asked the front desk staff what/where there was to sightsee and I was just given a city map with no indication of where things were located. The woman just circled a broad area of the map and told me to go there. That was not helpful at all.

Cons: The staff were not friendly. They operate a pre-authorisation on the booking which in my case amounted to €778 as I booked the 5 rooms on my card. We stayed for one night and paid separately the next day. The hotel held onto my money even though everyone had paid. I rang after a few days and was told that this was hotel policy and they would release the money in one week and was advised to ring back after one week if I didn't receive my money back. This was totally unacceptable and I would not recommend this hotel for its poor customer service. I used their email service in the end and finally received my money back after two weeks.

Cons: The property needs a profound renovation. In the room there was only one chair, the wall were totally bare and the bathroom was small with no windows and no fan. Supplies were basic. Breakfast: food was ok but the service was inappropriate and the staff needed to be called several times before getting their lazy attention. It is far from being a 4 stars hotel and prices are totally not worthy. It looks like it has not been touched or renovated since the the early 90s and the staff seems to have no guidelines.

Cons: Overpriced, not well kept. The shower didn't have a door or curtain, so the bathroom gets all wet when you shower. Also, the shower was dirty and moldy. The sink was not draining properly, they partially fixed the issue but left a leaking sink and a dirty mess in the bathroom.

Breakfast was basic. in fact I didn't have breakfast as it wasn't appetising, I did try to have breakfast on my last morning but they were too busy trying to get rid of me and the taxi driver they ordered arrived too early, I didn't even have time to drink a coffee which put me in bad mood. This was the hotel which sent me an email saying I had to check in on line with them and if I didn't I would be fined euro30!!! it made me annoyed before I even arrived there.

Cons: The onlu one thing that there was confusion when we arrived. We couldn't find the hotel, coz it's not like they have some billboard on the road or adv ecc. We took the elvator, came to the door of the hotel, and no one opened a door to us, coz' the guy from reception left it... we were waiting kinda 15 min before he came, and we were thinking that they just have stolen our money and our bank accounts are already empty.... lol...and 1 more thing, i didn't like that there was a lot of garbage downstairs... but it's what Napoli like!!! U can do nothing.

Cons: Communication needs to improve regarding payment. The hotel held my full payment for the room before we checked in, however after our stay & upon check out they charged me again for the room. After reviewing my bank statement the next day, I realised the hotel still had my initial payment on hold even though I had paid my final bill when we checked out. After contacting the hotel they told me that the hold amount wouldn't be released into my bank account for up to 10-14 days. This was a bit annoying as I still had 2 weeks left travelling around Italy. Luckily this was the only hotel during our Italian trip that did this.

Pros: We only stayed one night as we were in sorrento and we had an early flight home so it was convienient for us to stay here. It was close to the train station and Alibus to the airport which we used. The breakfast could have been better, no fresh fruit only tinned, the bread in the basket was hard and we had to wait until it was filled again, the machine for coffee was very slow and people had to queue to use it. Overall the hotel was nice and clean, our room was nice but bathroom very small. Because our room was at the front of hotel we could not open the window as the noise from the traffic was unbearable ( not the hotel's fault) so it was good that there was air con. If we had to do an overnight stay in Naples again we would stay here .

Cons: They don't have their own safe parking place, which was the most important thing for us. They using parking garage right in front of hotel. It will cost extra 15€ for one night. It is very safe, they lock the garage in the nighttime and open it at 5a.m. There are always 2-3 mens in garage. Still, hotel should tell their visitors about extra costs before booking rooms.

Cons: We dreaded every aspect of our stay at this hotel. First of all it is in a terrible area, extremely unsafe, we did not dare leave our room. The staff was also very rude and not helpful in scheduling an airport transfer, stay away from this hotel.

Cons: When we arrived at about 530pm we wanted to take showers but the water was only lukewarm. I asked the staff how to fix the problem, and was told that “the water in this hotel is just not very hot.” So there was no fix. The following morning the water was hot enough for a shower. The air conditioning in the room was also too cold and the only way to stop it was by flipping the circuit breaker because the thermostat was broken. Finally, I had called ahead to request a crib for my infant son, but when we arrived we were told that there was no crib, and it was too late to get one, so he slept in bed with us.

Cons: A towel rail in the bathroom was falling off the wall, but otherwise the room was good. What let the hotel down was the breakfast. The breakfast was the worst I have seen anywhere in Europe. There was ham and cheese, but no bread, no croissants, coffee varied between tepid and non-existent, no fruit, only high sugar cereals, but masses of cakes, including what looked like someone's left over birthday cake with 10mm of icing. The dining room staff are ok, but organisation and food choices are terrible. Go there if you can avoid breakfast.

Pros: The bed was ok.. the croissant didn’t like much as it was from the day before.. I would suggest not to used a product from the day before.. people could qualify the entire establishment from a old croissant... The best of all is YOUR PERSONAL... fantastic people extremely friendly and protective ... Grazie Mille

Pros:
Cons: Room smelt like cigarettes. Bathroom smelt like sewage. Air con remote didn't work. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Very short bed. Very poor water flow for shower. Limited breakfast. Quite disappointed with our stay.
