9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely house with interesting features
Cons: Our room was a little small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The welcoming was absolutely superb. Approaching the entrance from the street - admiring the front of the house and having a chat with the host was absolutely nice. The breakfast on the next morning was delicious overall and the recommendation for having dinner in the evening rounded everything up. Thanks for having us. We definitely recommend this hotel.
Cons: The room was a little too small - but it is an old house.
7.1 Good
Pros: Lovely french house, good breakfast. Very pleasant staff.
Cons: Our room (the garden room) needed decorating. It would have been nice if the croissants were warmed.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean hote. Breakfast and staff great
Cons: Room was very small. My wallet was bigger than the bedside table
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The welcome, the room and the staff were excellent. The breakfast and coffee were really good and tasty. The location was fine being close to the ferry terminal. We were going to arrive later than the time stated in the conditions but phoned the owners who said that it would be fine and they waited for us before locking the gates for the evening.
Cons: Everything was good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is located in a quiet area not far from a main street that is lined with stores, a few bakery shops, and small eating establishments. The breakfast included a special treat each day of jams made by the owner from her family's fruit and a different cake. Croissants, bread, kiwi, fresh orange juice and yogurt with coffee or tea were served each morning. The owners were friendly and extremely informative guiding us in suggesting walks and day trips. The room was comfortable with great bedding and pillows. There was a small closet to store a bag and hang some items and a shelf. Coffee, tea and water with a pot for afternoon or early mornings. A wonderful bath/ shower with thick towels. It was quiet and relaxing to be there after a long day of exploring St. Malo.
Cons: Sorry but this does not apply.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely room. High end breakfast.
7.9 Good
Pros: Very quiet, great breakfast. The couple That owns the property are the staff. They are very friendly and provide anything you need with a big smile ! Comfortable bed and good shower. Free parking!
Cons: No lift( had to use stairs to go up with luggage) . Our room was very small. No air conditioner and no fridge ( but no need- we were there by the end of august and it was nice and cool at night). Not enough area to storage our clothes - we had to leave them inside the suitcases. However, it did not bother us much, since we there for 2 nights. If u want to stay longer, ask for a bigger bedroom . Everything else was perfect!
10.0 Excellent

Pros: Great location within the walls of St Malo. Very friendly and helpful staff - who also provided a very good restaurant recommendation. Good breakfast with home-made jam etc.
Cons: Parking is, as expected, tricky - a narrow drive from a narrow street into an underground car park. However, the staff were extremely helpful with this and it wasn't a problem - and was good to be able to park at all in the centre.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were warm and immensely helpful throughout our stay. The first night the concierge asked if we knew where we wanted to have dinner, and when we said "we have no idea", he whipped out a map and gave us a handful of his recommendations along with price points and cuisine. When I purchased some butter from Maison du Bordier, the staff were happy to put it in their refrigerator and my icepack in their freezer until the next day. And when my mother left without her purse, we called the hotel on our walk back over, and they found it for her in the courtyard! This is a charming, comfortable hotel with exceptional customer service. I would visit again, and would highly recommend!

Cons: Would have given 10 out of ten but for dinner on the last night, Sunday 1st September. Having booked a table for 2 at 7.15 we arrived promptly only to sit for 40 minutes before anyone cane near. Eventually I had to call for service and request a drink. There were plenty of staff but all seemed to be running round like headless chickens. There did not appear anyone was in charge. Certainly no maitre D. Food when it came was OK but being artistic seemed to be more important than good wholesome food. Although it was a Sunday, I do not accept that as an excuse.

Cons: noise from road digging (outside hotels control). lack of empty fridge in room
6.7 Good
Pros: The Reception staff were very welcoming and pleasant, not so the Bar personnel.
Cons: the Palais de Congress, which is the adjoining building is in the process of being completely refurbished. The works were visible from our window, and the noise started up at 7.00am. If this had been disclosed when we booked, I would have made a different choice.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Love the swimming pool ~ so fresh. Staff amazingly v helpful esp Mieggy Coffee machine in room plus water & great toilettories

Pros: excellent room with sea-view, very good breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect, our room far exceeded our expectations but most of all the staff were really first class. This is probably the best hotel we've ever stayed at and will be going back again next spring.
Cons: There is no restaurant on site although "Chez Henry" is across the road (20 yards) and is first class. Breakfast at the hotel was more than acceptable.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to a suite which was fantastic and we thank the Oceania very much. Great view, great room. No restaurant - not an issue and the bar was closed through sickness of staff but breakfast was fine. Secure underground parking was perfect. We would stay again.
Cons: A minor point but at breakfast although tables were cleared fairly quickly where guests had made a mess on the floor this was left which meant you had to walk through it, which we decided not to do. It would have been better if this had been cleared up.

7.3 Good
Pros: We thought the bedroom was really well decorated and well presented. It had all amenities and had been really well thought out. It was probably the most comfortable room we stayed in during our 2 week holiday in France. It was also good having a secure garage.
Cons: The only think we had hoped for was to have dinner on the evening that we arrived as we did not feel much like walking too far but unfortunately, the hotel didn't have a restaurant. The barmaid suggested a sea food restaurant in the walled city which wasn't very good.
5.7 Okay
Pros:
Cons: I found the price too high particularly as everything had to be paid for in addition to the room price

Pros: The room decor was nice, the bathroom was refurbished, the location was easy to find and to walk to from the city walls, and the staff was very attentive.
Cons: The room and bathroom were very small.
6.7 Good
Pros: The bathroom was lovely, new and clean. The continental breakfast was also very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On our last day staff asked if we wanted to order a taxi from the hotel. We had already decided that we wanted to go to Dinard by bus as it was going to be cheaper to get a taxi from there to the airport. The lady in the hotel arranged for a taxi to pick us up from a location in Dinard which was very much appreciated as when we went to Dinard we did not see a single taxi in sight.
Cons: The lights on the corridor did not come on automatically with movement. It was difficult to find the lights the first time.

Pros: All the Staff very helpfull and warm, location is ideal for both shops and cafe's. Hotel is modern with nice classical features - very French.
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: The location of the hotel in the old city, everything in walking distance from good restaurants to the beach.
Cons: Hotel parking was difficult unless you had booked in advance and garages are tight. The one way streets make it hard to locate the hotel unless you have a good map or Sat Nav/GPS. Very small showers, small but fairly comfortable rooms.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room we got was incredible: attention paid to every detail made our one night stay very special: the linen sheets, beautiful towels and kettle with tea + coffee made of it our favorite room during our Brittany road trip
Cons: Two things could really be improved: 1. The check-in time, which was very unusual and quite inconvenient (5PM-8PM). 2. The breakfast that had great jams, home made crepes and delicious baked goods but barely any cheeses nor eggs, so for us who are more into having a salty breakfast, it was rather disappointing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous guest house.
Cons: No cheese knife
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hosts of this hotel - very kind and helpful. Room was beautiful, thoughtful decoration, 5 min walk to the beach, grocery store over the street.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Price and location. Also a good breakfast and very nice owners
Cons: The wc separate from en suite shower

10.0 Excellent
Pros: everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So friendly, clean and comfortable. The area is gorgeous - 8 lovely beaches to walk and swim.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent. Location is ideal for coastal walks and access to St Malo for the day.
Cons: lack of access to the main breakfast area in the evening. Would benefit to have microwaves in the kitchenette. The shop should be more separated from the breakfast area as it does feel a bit like eating in a shop with everything around you for sale.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: It was nicely styled
Cons: Vastly overpriced. Many parts in our room were broken: the door handle was hanging off. Bits of the room kitchen left on top of cupboards. The kids sofa bed collapsed and the shower didn’t drain properly. The breakfast was basically small amounts of crepe, bread and a cup of coffee - when we asked for more it was refused.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: Stunning view - great location for the beach and old city
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was the highlight of our experience - helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The room was small but comfortable and clean, and the bathroom was large and updated. Overhead was appreciated from the American guest :)
Cons: The parking facility was a bit confusing to exit and enter, but the staff gave as best directions as they could.
7.9 Good
Pros: Location. Hotel is situated just on the promenade and has very nice and cosy rooftop from where you can see beautiful sunset. It's worth it! to the Intramuros its around 15 min walk along the sea and this route is also very picturesque. For me there is no need to find somethig closer tj the old center, because in this area you can feel relaxed and just in 15 minutes find yourself in crouded center. If you travel by car - don't forget to ask hotel for the parking beforehand (as I forget to do). In my case it was arranged quickly just because of friendly staff on the reception. we managed to find place aroud (which is free btw - so you can try to find it by yourself and not to pay for hotel parking - but it will be of course on a certain distance from the hotel). Staff. Very friendly, polite, ready to help. No complaints, just very good imression. Room. Ordinary quite small room. In this hotel its better to take room with the sea view on a higher floors - they will be really nice. everything was clean and comfortable. Good in terms of combination of price and quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It is so close to the beach, the room was really comfortable and elegant, the roof top bar was also a joy to visit.

Pros: The breakfast was an extra 11 euros each but was an excellent breakfast buffet and good value for the centre of St Malo. There was a friendly welcome and our bikes securely stored in the cellar for us! The hotel was in a great location.

7.1 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast, wonderful attention from staff and host.
Cons: I hoped for tissues, shower cap, soap. But I was OK without them.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Did not have breakfast.
Cons: To say you would not swing a cat in the room would be an understatement,The room did not have a kettle or even a cup or a glass to drink from, also the front door was locked as early as10.30 pm with no one at reception. I feared for our safety in the event of fire with no smoke. alarm in the room and only one way out was down the main stairs towards reception. This hotel was certainly poor value for the money we payed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location inside the old fortress of St. Malo is just fabulous. There are shops and restaurants in this concentrated area, plus you can walk all around on the ramparts.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Central and friendly
6.7 Good
Pros: Very nice location in the heart of Saint Malo.
Cons: Very disappointed concerning staff, I asked help for parking and did not get satisfying answer except: come to see us and then I would explain (and I am French...).
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was right in the city. It made for easy city touring.
Cons: Three stair flights and a phone booth sized elevator made transporting luggage difficult. City street drunks and late night partiers made sleep problematic.
7.0 Good
Pros: This is a small hotel in the heart of the old town (Intra Muros). Communication with the staff was easy and they were friendly and helpful almost to the extreme. Gave us a recommendation to a restaurant that was spot on. It was a pleasure dealing with them and I rate them very highly. The rooms were clean when we booked in, and just as clean when we returned from our escapades. Water pressure was very good in the shower. The breakfast was adequate, but not outstanding, but we ate well.
Cons: Smallest lift I have ever seen or been in! Shower is very small, but we have been in smaller. Rooms are also small, but it did not really bother us.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really close to the centre.
Cons: Nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Centrally located within the ramparts. Nice little cafe/bar. Secure parking available, but at a price and located a few streets away from the hotel itself.
Cons: A very small lift, barely big enough to fit your bags, let alone 1 person, making access to the upper floors for the elderly or less fleet of foot!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Warm friendly arrival with plenty of information about our stay. Highly recommend use of private parking. We will return.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Cramped space, tiny elevator not even large enough for one person with a suitcase, slightly shabby furniture
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff and they provided a very nice continental breakfast. The location is surrounded by a fabulous mix of upscale retailers, restaurants and the gamut of tourist catering gift shops. Well worth another visit.
Cons: That I couldn’t stay longer!

7.9 Good
Pros: Very modern and clean, and very nice staff. The location is a bit off from the old town, but it's very nice located just by the waterfront. We stayed in two different rooms. The first one with a terrace towards the sea (but with the boardwalk just outside, on the same level). The other one was a family room in two levels, which was quite big and very modern and nice, but a bit inconvenient, with all the running in the stairs (on the first level was the master bedroom and the toilet, and downstairs there were two separate beds and the shower room).
Cons: It took about 15 to 20 minutes to walk to old town, and when the water was high it splashed over on to the pavement - although it's a very beautiful walk (the first time). The wifi did almost only work around the lobby.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Most beautiful spot and view in town
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were wonderful! Friendly, happy, courteous, and informative.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: A room with a see view and a terrace is right on the beach.

Pros: Location and facilities
Cons: The shower was very poor!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cap Horn Resturant was excellent so too were the breakfasts staff very helpful the setting is superb, overlooking the promenade and the sea, great for walking ,especially into St.Malo.
6.7 Good
Pros: Right on the beach, 5 stars service
Cons: Very old fashioned : decoration, small rooms, bathroom. Certainly better when you do a thalasso. If not I imagine that there is better place to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Splendid
5.8 Okay
Pros: Excellent location direct at the beach and not far from old down town of Saint-Malo. The staff from outside terasse restaurant was worth for a five star hotel and the menues what you can get are really good especially the dessert.
Cons: The price for a so called „Grand Large“ double room of 31sqm and seaside view is extremely high. Especially because the room was much smaller than 31sqm. Servive was just so so. We stayed 5 nights and had to ask 3 days to refill the Nespresso capsules one time no fresh towels and in general the hotel staff was not really caring. In general for me this was all in all far below what I am expecting and already got from a five star hotel. We will come back to Saint-Malo, but not again to that hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property met all necessary expectations on a 5 stars, room, infrastructure. Restaurants and amenities - very large Spa area with many treatments, room with terra e and view to the see was great
Cons: I don’t appreciate that guests can go to the breakfast at restaurant in their bathrobes, not healthy, this is not the living room of your house
9.6 Excellent
Pros: lovely hotel and food in the restaurant was very good. Staff are fab!
Cons: having paid over £400 for one nights stay then being charged £50 for entrance to the spa. overpriced and not worth it. stay elsewhere and still pay the 50 spa fee if that's why your going
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotels location directly on the beach is magnificent. Arrival by car was incredibly easy as it was quickly whisked away by valet parking (at no extra cost) and was equally quickly available on request.
Cons: Many of the spa services ... such as access to the on-site thermal pools... was at additional cost which, given the high price of the hotel to begin with, seemed ridiculous.
7.9 Good
Pros: The view
Cons: We didn’t see the bill after our meals. We had no idea what we were spending!!

Cons: Rooms a little small but comfortable.
