The breakfast buffet was amazingly good but it was expensive. Most hotels in Europe offer the same quality for free.
Clean, great location and comfortable.
Reception staff need to be more friendly to their guests.
Breakfast buffet was nice.
Staff at desk are incredibly arrogant. Seemed very inconvenienced when I asked for 2 room keys for each room so my kids and I could access each others rooms & when I asked them for a receipt (I had to cancel one night because flight cancelled but had to pay - I needed to claim expense on my travel insurance - I asked for receipt and was told I needed to ask the manager for it in the morning). We had interconnecting rooms which were not identical - our kids (2 single bed room) had a very large room with very large bathroom and wardrobe but we (the room with double bed) got a tiny pokey room with tiny bathroom and tiny wardrobe - there wasn't even enough space to open the suitcase without putting it on the bed. I paid a lot and was in this tiny room. The porter was also very arrogant and slammed our suitcases around. Tiny elevators, had to take up suitcases in 2 trips. This hotel is right outside the train station which has an impenetrable smell of urine that is intoxicating. Considering we had to pay a city tax per person per day, the city council should arrange daily cleaning of this area.
After two weeks for more adventurous travel in Italy, sharing flats with friends and checking into B&Bs with "character", I just needed a guaranteed comfort and reliable internet. Starhotel Terminus was ideal: right next to the train station and metro station so the location was perfect. The mattress and pillows were 7th heaven, and the large marble bathroom with a proper adult sized bath tub was a luxury for independent travelers like myself. I was finally able to catch up on work because of the good internet. Don't forget to check out the view from the rooftop terrace. The staff were very helpful, especially the gentleman who helped me find a fine gluten-free restaurant (yes, there are quite a few excellent ones in Italy!).
I had hoped that breakfast would be included in the rate I paid but it wasn't. (Fortunately, Cuori di Sfogiatella is next door!) The gym didn't have mats for stretching and floor exercises. A rooftop cafe to take advantage of the view would have been a good idea.
Great location - across 2 streets from the principal train station, and surrounded by restaurants.
The Starhotels Terminus is a romantic hotel in the historic centre of Naples, looking out onto the bustling Piazza Garibaldi, where every detail embodies the hospitality and passion the city is famous for. The 169 rooms and suites, furnished with precious fabrics in warm colours, provide guests a panoramic view of the city or of the magnificent courtyard. The Odeon by Eataly restaurant offers both international and typical Neapolitan dishes, while the Odeon by Eataly bar is the ideal place to enjoy a genuine Neapolitan coffee, as well as light snacks and exquisite cocktails. The scenic terrace on the 7th floor has a spectacular view over the Bay of Naples and in summer it becomes a perfect setting for romantic evenings accompanied by live music performances. The hotel's 8 meeting rooms can host up to 200 people and are equipped with the most modern technology. They offer all the space required for holding business meetings or private events, impeccably organised by a staff of expert professionals.
