I would first like to start by saying that I am currently paying 100 euro per day to rent your smallest car. That is insane. I would not be renting a car if not for my own being broken into. So I really have no other choice. Today, I decided to extend my rental since I wouldn’t be able to pick up my personal vehicle, so I attempted to call the office from which I rented the vehicle to extend my rental. I called the office. No answer I attempted every line the automated answering machine gave me. Even the EMERGENCY line. Still no answer. So I called and called and called. 24 times I called an no answer. So I drove, the 1.5 hours in traffic to the office. At the office there were 3 employees and 3 customers, not including myself. I approached the counter and asked why no one was answering the phone. They asked which were you calling. I said the one you gave me and they checked. It was the correct number but I was told that they were too busy to answer. To include the call I made while standing in the office. I also noticed that the calls would ring a different quantities before they just stopped and the call disconnected, which leads me to believe that the calls were being declined. Not just going unanswered. This bring me to the final portion of the complaint. That for all of this, I am paying over 600 euro for a 5 day rental. My reservation for the original rental was suppose to be 289 due at pickup, but was told my reservation included the insurance so I was charged 368 dollars. Then when I extended, I was told I would be charged another 250 dollars for 2 days. This is unacceptable. These employees do not care about the company nor the customer.

This was my second attempt at a rental from Budget. The first car that I reserved was not available for pickup at the time of the booking, which delayed my travel by a day.

Nothingbudget agent shouldn’t have forced me into a larger sized car than I requested in my reservation. Due to her negligence of my situation, she gave me a mid sized crossover, did not fit in the streets of amalfi in the countryside where I was staying. As a result I had a scrape on the bumper and rim.

Staff was great, car was good working order and exactly what we asked forWe returned the car 50 minutes after our allotted time (2:50pm instead of 2:00pm) because of unexpected traffic and we were charged an additional 100$ for an entire day. The staff says it’s automatic charge past 15 minutes in the computer. We are very upset.

NothingFor starters They did not have the car I had selected. I understand if the car was not available that day, in this case they didn’t have any BMW X2 as a part of their fleet. I would’ve written a full review but the text is limited in this field. Don’t book with them! I wasn't the only one duped.

The drop off was easy and the courtesy bus was waiting but I think that was more luck than their efficiency.Everything. The office location , the poor Signage, the attitude of the staff. It was not progressive. Perhaps it felt like hiring a car, from my memory, say in the 1990s when it was such a hassle.

Great service!Shuttle pick up was smooth and easy. Not a long wait at the rental Center. While returning the car was met by a pleasant representative who quickly processed us so we could get to the airport !N/A

NothingWe weren’t able to pick up the rental. They wanted a 700 euro deposit which we did not have. That’s ridiculous! How does anyone afford to rent a car with this company?

RENTER BEWARE: BUDGET IN NAPLES WILL PIN YOU FOR PRIOR EXISTING DAMAGEnothingUpon arrival, it took 1.5 hours just to get the car even though there wasn't even a line. The staff at this location was just very lazy and slow and practically incompetent. It was nothing like getting a rental car in the states where it takes all of 10-20 minutes to get in and get out. We used the car probably 3 times out of the 4 days we had the rental and nothing happened - no accidents, no scrapes, no doors were opened on the vehicle - nothing happened to the car. Dropping off the car was a literal nightmare. Even though my husband and I conducted a walk through assessing any damage to the car prior to leaving the car lot, the employee checking the car back in to inventory pointed out TINY insignificant scratches on the car that were previously there and we ended up with a 450 euro bill for so-called "damages." We bought insurance thankfully, but these slimy people took advantage of us in a HUGE way and I have never had such a poor experience in my life. I will be reporting this to Budget headquarters and will never rent with them again.
