Rooms are extremely big and comfortable with Balcony! The bed was one of the largest we ever slept in and the mattress extremely comfortable and good quality! Pillows are super comfy! Fridge and mirrors in the room! Room service the top . Toiletries smelling very good especially the shower bath soap. Amazing rooftop for breakfast in the morning with View over Napoli! Excellent variety of breakfast for everyone ! Kind waiters ! It was our honeymoon and they bought us as a welcome gift Prosecco bottle with a note from the hotel manager! The receptionist were all super kind and nice ! Andrea one of the hotel receptionist was one of the best people which made the hotel perfect! He is so friendly, an amazing gentleman, professional and human being like one wish to find in other hotel! We want to come back to Napoli one day soon hopefully to the town dell’amore and poetry and wish to stay in Grand Orient ! I highly recommend!

Cons: Toilet flush did not work properly all week despite our requests for it to be repaired. Bedroom walls were quite thin - easy to hear neighbours conversations. Room service seemed limited to a selection from the restaurant menu. No snack type food (perhaps intentionally). We asked for a late checkout and were told it would be half rate (150 euro) charge for 2 hours or full rate for 6 hours, which seems extortionate. We eventually agreed on half rate for 6 hours but the haggling process made the hotel seem greedy.

Cons: There was no porter at the door so we had to carry our baggage up the stairs and in to our rooms. There was a very disturbing noise with th ac. Our room was supposed to be a se view suite but it was not anywhere near what i expected. The shutters of one of the windows would not close. There were two rooms for breakfast , the first day it was great , it was a big room with sea view but the second and the third day , we were put in a smaller chamber and we had to wait for tables to be cleared to have breakfast. This is not acceptable hotel conduit if you pay €1700 for 3 nights. The worst value for money hotel i ever stayed in.

Cons: our only complaint was the shower. it's a very nice "rain" shower head with a hand held wand in a bathtub with a glass panel spanning about 1/3 of the length of the tub. while the water pressure was very good, there was no seal under the glass panel so after my first shower the floor of the bathroom was flooded! (i didn't realize the water was flowing under the glass panel to the floor until i was finished). i asked to switch rooms but was told there were none available and they sent someone up to try to reseal the space between the glass panel and the top of the tub but it didn't help. from then on, every shower was not a relaxing event because we were so conscious of spraying the water away from the glass panel with the hand held shower wand(using the shower head above was not an option because water would be all over the floor again) and still we had to clean up some water on the floor after each shower no matter how careful we were.

Cons: The neighborhood was terrible= Naples looked like it was rundown with crime from where this hotel was situated. The room was small and somehow, the shower opened directly to the bed. The lights in the room were on a sensor- so if you are showering and not moving, the lights shut off within 60 seconds. on my high standard, the hotel was essentially built to try and be a 5star, but failed to get there. the beds were terrible as well- 5 star hotel, i expect a queen or a king bed that is not a stiff European bed on a board. If you want a 5star luxury hotel, its not that. But it was nice.

But you have to pay for it. Not too pricy: 9EUR per a week, but still it's surprising that they do not include it into the price room. 9. The staff was great. All my requests were handled very promptly. 10. It's a rare case of a big hotel with properly fast elevators - what a delight! I loved how they functioned instead of the inconvenient cards swiped in most of the hotels these days.

Cons: We did not like that there was no WiFi in the room. You had to go to the lobby or pay an extra $9 for WiFi. The front desk asked if we wanted a wake up call and we agreed to have one. It is a good thing we set our phone alarm, because the wake up call never came. We needed change for 50€ and were told they couldn’t make change on the weekend. 3 front desk people told us 3 different estimates of time to get to the airport and 3 different estimated taxi charges to get to the airport.

Cons: The reception staff could have been a little friendlier. They were efficient and courteous, but lacked warmth. The porters on the other hand were really lovely. The breakfast was really poor, verging on disgusting. If you like sweet stuff for your breakfast, then you are in the right place. However, if you favour something more healthy, the choice was limited and what there was, was not really edible. Needs masses of improvement. We also seem to have chosen a time when the powers that be, decided to erect and disassemble a massive crane right outside our window at 10.00 pm at night and finish about 4 in the morning. Our hopes to sleep with the window open was flying straight out of it, excuse the pun.

Cons: We've reserved the hotel in May for stay after arrival and before departure from the Naples airport. At the arrival we've everything was fine and we've enjoyed staying the the hotel. 5 days later, we've arrived to the hotel and discovered that we've mistakenly made reservation on August instead of May. It was obviously our guilty. First of all the portiere stated that we cannot cancel our reservation. We've been very tired and disappointed by the mistake and kindly asked the portiere to leave out car for five minuted in order to buy some water at the supermarket across the street but have been refused. We have not expected such a response from the hotel just got full advanced payment. It was real disappointment.

Cons: We were given a smoking room which they changed but said it was the last one. There was a strange smell in the hotel which was similar to the smell in the smoking room we had first been given. We were told that they were going to make it a non smoking hotel and we would only go back if this was done. The breakfast was disappointing as there was almost no fresh fruit and not much selection of cooked breakfast but an enormous selection of cakes and bakery which we don't eat for breakfast.

Cons: We had one issue that could have been resolved easily. Unfortunately the staff were reluctant to address our concerns. Customer service is poor. Whilst the front desk staff did respond to our questions and enquiries there were no smiling welcoming faces. It almost felt like we were an inconvenience when checking in and asking for directions etc. Very ‘surly’ reception team. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in at 2.45pm, we were abruptly told that ‘check in from 2pm’ means a room could be ready anytime after 2pm not at 2pm. In summary the hotel itself is clean, offers a nice buffet breakfast and is ideally located for the train station. The staff however need a few lessons in good customer service. As seasoned travelers I can honestly say that the customer service offered here is of the worst I have experienced worldwide. Disappointing.

Cons: For the type of room we got, I was expecting slightly better turnout, specifically, real glasses and mugs for water and tea instead of two flimsy plastic cups, hair conditioner along with the shampoo in the bathroom. A staff member was also quite rude to my husband when he asked for a bottle opener so that we could try a special beer that we had just driven all over Basilicata to find and needed to drink before we flew home. I understand that they want to encourage drinking from the mini-bar or hotel restaurant instead, but for a hotel of this caliber, I expected a little more respect for the customers' wishes.

Cons: The shower was awful. There was only a partial "door", and water got everywhere when you took a shower. We had to cover the floor in every towel we had in preparation for the swamp that followed. The pool also required swim caps which was weird and a big bummer because who wants to wear a swim cap?

Non-smoking hotel with ashtrays near elevators and rooms smelled like a smoking hole. Poor breakfast and not ready at 6.30 am. Keep smiling is something they do not know how to execute. Hotel pretending to be the luxury top overpriced hotel and they just stare at guests with heavy pieces of baggage trying to reach the lobby without any help! And if there is check-in at 3 pm I am not accepting the "room is not ready"!

Cons: We get a room in a mansarde, on the 4th floor, even we have had confirmed a superior room.This means, we have to walk thru a corridor were we get lost at a point to find a door who brought us to a set of stairs leading to the 4th floor .No elevator.The roof top was wood, even this is called a Pallazzo.From my perspective our room was more like a barn.The room have a tiny terrace ,who needs an urgent paint, and from which you can only see the rooftops in the neighborhood.In front of the hotel is a round under construction which makes everything dirty and dusty and very difficult to access.The streets near by are very narrow and bad looking , somehow like the favelas , you cannot feel safe after dark.The traffic was seriously disturbed and it takes like 30 minutes just to head the way to the airport in the morning.Even the hotel have a place to park in front of it, the staff have asked us to pay 28 euro for the parking service pretending that they will send us the car to a parking place and will bring us when we need.In fact the car was staying all night in front of the hotel.There was a sign to a parking near by , but since the streets look not safe we have been forced to pay for the “ car valet service”.I have recently stay in the MGallery hotel in Cologne , but this one in Naples is far away from that quality and it was truly a disappointment to find this hotel instead the hotel I have expected after my Cologne visit.I will avoid this chain in the future, just because this so bad experience.I have spent a week in Italy travelling and staying to different kind of hotels, none of them was a chain , but the last night in Naples have almost ruined my holiday due to all these .Another thing to be mentioned, the location is very far from the shopping street, even the concierge said we need 15 minutes to go to the Toledo street , actually it need more like 45 minutes thru some very ugly streets.In total an experience to avoid.

Cons: Communication needs to improve regarding payment. The hotel held my full payment for the room before we checked in, however after our stay & upon check out they charged me again for the room. After reviewing my bank statement the next day, I realised the hotel still had my initial payment on hold even though I had paid my final bill when we checked out. After contacting the hotel they told me that the hold amount wouldn't be released into my bank account for up to 10-14 days. This was a bit annoying as I still had 2 weeks left travelling around Italy. Luckily this was the only hotel during our Italian trip that did this.

The room was super- designed, even if it's a bit kitch, like a table suported by 5 angels =) We stayed at lux, and we had really cool jacuzzi (thouth it was loosing water, and after ll th floor was wet). In general we liked it, i would've put 9 from 10.They also recomended vr good restaurant downstairs, it calls Castello Nuovo (I guess)), the food was amaizing!

Cons: There isnt any proper signage to tell you where the hotel is located. Once you get to the address, you can see the sign board but there isnt any indication to guide you to the 4th level to get to the hotel reception. There should be a signage on by the lift for hotel guests are aware. We were lucky that a resident living in one of the apartments came by and told us about it.Mind you we arrived there around 11pm !!

Cons: this hotel is on the 3rd floor and the lift was broken down. Breakfast was basic. in fact I didn't have breakfast as it wasn't appetising, I did try to have breakfast on my last morning but they were too busy trying to get rid of me and the taxi driver they ordered arrived too early, I didn't even have time to drink a coffee which put me in bad mood. This was the hotel which sent me an email saying I had to check in on line with them and if I didn't I would be fined euro30!!! it made me annoyed before I even arrived there.

Pros: While we were booking we saw a room with a private terrace that cost a little more than the regular room and decided to book it. It was very nice going back to the hotel and sitting in a traditional neapolitan terrace relaxing and drinking something. The room was furnished with bathropes and slippers , fresh water and it was very cozy. The staff was fantastic, we asked for something to drink and they served it to us on our terrace. The price was definetely worth it!!!

Pros: The hotel is a few minutes away from Napoli Centrale train station, very easy to find. The staff was welcoming. The room was clean and quiet. The food in the hotel restaurant came from a restaurant on the first floor, and it was amazing, we did get to sit in a balcony above all the fuss in the street and taste real Neapolitan pizza! The next morning, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and it was great! There was everything - from savory to sweet options, eggs, juices, coffee and so much more! Really tasty and a great start to a day!

Cons: Our first night was ok. The following day I started the itchiness and on the 3rd day my skin started to swell and developed a blisters. I knew it was a bites I informed the reception and they adviced me to ask an ice at the bar. Antonio was very helpful the man at the bar..he spoke the receptionist I got a bed bug bites.. arriving with clear smooth skin going back to Dublin with 7bed bug bites, my other side of my eyebrow is swollen. My 2 fingers is swollen and has blisters. My left arms has 3 bed bug bites swollen and also has blisters. They moved us to different room. Underneath the room is dusty. No wonder I experienced a bed bug bites. I travel almost every two months and stayed in different hotels but I never experienced a bed bug bites. I'm so unlucky.. the hotel is noisy..you can hear every words conversations.

Cons: Location is terrible. We actually watched drug deals from the balcony. Google earth this location before booking. The overnight staff who checked us in was so reluctant to give us our room. Not fun given the location and is arriving at 12.30am.

Cons: The room was small. The shower power was very poor. The local area was awash with migrants who at one point were fighting outside the hotel. The location is quite a distance from the shopping, restaurants, sites of interest. Probably a 2 or 3 star hotel in the UK.

Cons: This hotel had an extremely rude staff, they were not helpful in setting up an airport transfer. Also this hotel is in a AWFUL area. I felt extremely unsafe, did not even want to leave my hotel to briefly retrieve dinner. I would stay away from this hotel if at all possible.

Cons: When we arrived at about 530pm we wanted to take showers but the water was only lukewarm. I asked the staff how to fix the problem, and was told that “the water in this hotel is just not very hot.” So there was no fix. The following morning the water was hot enough for a shower. The air conditioning in the room was also too cold and the only way to stop it was by flipping the circuit breaker because the thermostat was broken. Finally, I had called ahead to request a crib for my infant son, but when we arrived we were told that there was no crib, and it was too late to get one, so he slept in bed with us.

Cons: Staff at the checkin were indifferent. However, Olimpia was very nice and helpful and was the only cheerful person amongst the entire staff. As it is, the negative reviews make you apprehensive and you have very little expectations, the indifferent attitude from staff adds to the melancholy. The vault like doors in the room add to the fear bcoz they look like they are meant to resist an invasion. The color scheme in the corridor and lobby is also gloomy. Management needs to make the place cheerful and put good staff at least on the front desk. I will not go back to this hotel for these reasons and not for the outside atmosphere.

Very close to the main station (Napoli centrale) and Piazza Garibaldi, lots of restaurants and shops just a few minutes around the corner. A police presence around the station helps dispel some of the fears about being mugged ( we never saw or were aware of any problems during our stay) We felt safe while we were walking around.

Cons: Some of the hotel needs updating. The photos on the website show the hotel to a very good standard. The rooms and reception area are lovely, the rest needs some attention. The area is run down, people frequently seen throwing rubbish on the streets. Nobody seems to care about the city.

Cons: The rooms are very dirty. Curtains and carpeting filthy. Cables hanging from the television. The bathroom floods as the half shower glass has no silicone stopping the drain off. The toilet bowl disgusting. I can only attach one foto per room so I am unable to publish more. As a long term user of NH Hitels this was by far the worst.

Cons: Everything, hygiene was poor, stains on walls, carpets.. I did not get the double bed I booked online because they had non left. For €147 a night I would have expected more.
