Pros: We have travelled around all continents and this is the best hotel we ever stayed in anytime anywhere. Staff is well-trained and they know exactly what they are doing. They make you feel comfortable any section of the hotel you visit (reception, breakfast buffet, gym room, swimming pool, lobby, concierge, rooms...). In addition, the location is perfect. If you like shopping, this is the place to stay.

Pros: I loved everything about our stay at The Langham. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, the staff were kind and attentive, and the location next to the MTR and the Star Ferry terminal made it easy and accessible. I also loved the well-appointed gym.

If you like shopping, this is the place to stay.

With a room on 12th floor we felt we were litterally floating on the water with the full view on HK island. I had a bit of an issue at the check in, but the staff fixed it and apologized to us once in our room which I thought was very nice.

Cons: The bad thing: as usual, the Intercontinental provided a Handy mobile phone that the guest can take with him when going outside the hotel and this time was the same... except for when, after about 4 days, they just took the phone from the room. I had left it to charge in its cradle, went downstairs while housekeeping cleaned the room and when I returned there was no phone! At first I thought maybe I forgot it somewhere, or maybe someone had stolen it. When I called reception, they said they removed the phone due to some request by Handy... without telling me!!! I stated my displeasure at the fact that they did not notify me, or that they did not even leave a note that they were taking the phone. They apologized and afterwards they brought some drink to remedy the situation and also gave me a pocket Wi-Fi device that I could take with me when going out of the hotel. Well, it makes up for the lack of the Handy phone... I suppose I can accept their apologies for the lack of notification... it just left a bad taste in my mouth that they did not tell me they took the phone.

ICON has a feature Cantonese restaurant 'Above and Beyond' and lounge area on the 28th floor. They have an outdoor pool and indoor gym on the 9th floor both with views of the harbour. Location is slightly isolated in the Hung Hom area near TST East. There are a handful of small eateries and convenience shops in the area, a small park with children's playground area just next to the hotel and close access to the HK Science Museum, History Museum and harbour promenade. ICON also has a shuttle service between the hotel and Middle Road and Sun Arcade near Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui. You are also a 5 minute walk to the Hum Hong MTR Station from this particular property. Our room was modern, smartly designed and overall very nice. There is plenty of space, expected large and comfortable bed, very comfortable sitting chair. Work desk area is directly below the flat-screen TV and comes with a really comfortable rolling chair. The two chairs in the room were excellent. Room also included plenty of closet and drawer space, ironing board, hair dryer, fridge (free drinks and M&Ms), espresso machine (3 capsules) and room safe. Plenty of power sockets, TV cable, A/C, wifi all worked perfectly fine. Room included 4G handy phone and portable charger as well.

Pros: Came back from South Asia raving about this hotel. Can't believe the luxury, style and amenities. I've stayed in more expensive hotels but I've never stayed in better than this. The smartphone they provide you in room with free international calls and data and Internet made wandering Hong Kong so much easier. The breakfast buffet is vast and huge and fancy and delicious. And the rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. All needs are thought of and anticipated. The staff are incredibly attentive, you feel like you're a VIP. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Six million stars.

Cons: Glass wall by the shower is too short, so the water spoils sometimes on the floor. Every afternoon staff always knocks on the door and asks, if cleaning was good. From one side is care about quality, from other - a bit annoying, cause service is really very good.

Cons: We dined in the top floor restaurant Above and Beyond and had the Peking Duck set menu with a wine pairing. Here, unfortunately, the highly attentive service became intrusive and absurd. For example, someone comes every minute to check on your table and rather than a casual glance this check includes a careful study. The servers would often jump in to do something unnecessary and pointless such as turning the water bottle so that the label faces you or randomly realigning items on the table in a fussy manner. And if you had the temerity to top off your own water glass, someone would jump in and grab the bottle form your hand. Aside form the overbearing service, the meal was only okay. The duck was tasty, but most of the other flavors were no more than ordinary. And the wine pairings were similarly undistinguished. Considering that the meal (at HKD 2000) was by far the most expensive one we had in 4 days in Hong Kong, it was a very poor value for money. I recommend going elsewhere despite the high rating this place receives on Trip Advisor.

Cons: The only downside was the cost of drinks in the lounge bar, around A$15 for a coffee/juice/coke and higher still for any decent alcohol meant we couldn’t relax there after a long day but instead had to find another outside bar or just go to our room. Breakfast was reasonably priced (especially given it included coffee/juices etc) and was delicious and very extensive in terms of options.

All hotel bars are closing too early, end even earlier than announced. The rooms also neeed som redecoration soon, as they are unchanged over at least the last two decades.

They also gave us a room at 8:30am when we arrived from a long haul trip from Ireland to Hong Kong which we really appreciated. I stayed in this hotel for a little over a week in both the XL (King) Room and M (Double) room. The rooms were clean, interior/bathrooms thoughtfully designed and housekeeping replenished the bottled water daily. I found the common area to be an amazing place to start the day, work or unwind. The laundry facilities were a godsend when travelling light and the battery powerbanks available were also very handy on those long days out exploring.

Cons: I made a booking from Airport and 1 hour later they could not find the booking.. They asked me to wait for 36 minutes at 1am.. “go to MacDonalds” ! Then passed to another rude check in person who took over 20 minutes to process payment.. He then alluded that the cash was not acceptable! I had just exchanged at the Airport! He was the rudest person I had dealt with in years. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite and 2600 nights, therefore I cannot accept this Hotel ever again.. Their GM if he was doing his job should never accept such substandard offering.

Also, even when we place the room cleaning card outsides our room during the time we went out for breakfast, no staff actually comes, we need to specially call the reception to arrange it.

Cons: Breakfast Ends at 10am. And the Location is convenient but still there are no supermarkets next to it you need to walk a few blocks. No In Room Dining at Night Time. Small Bathroom. If you have two Bags it might gets small if you don’t unpack all your stuff in to the drawer. Also there is much leather on the wall which on some parts seems really old and dirty because of continuous use.

Pros: Good location, there is a bus stop just in front of the hotel. Also we could use free shuttle busses departing from the Dorset hotel. The room was a bit dated but clean. Our room was for three people and we were really surprised it had two rooms inside and two toilets. Also there is a patio on the fifth floor with free coffee or tea and some fruit. We liked it a lot. The breakfasts were so good!!!!!! The hotel is highly recommended!!!!!! I will come back there for sure!

The rooms had hotel keys that let you into the hall and then into your room so there was no need to worry about leaving valuables in the room (although we were still concerned slightly given the building). TV with 2 english channels, air-conditioning and wifi were great bonuses.

She also informed us that we can safely leave our luggage at the hotel after check out should we still go around TST before heading to the airport. Friday morning, upon my request, she opened the hotel room of my son upon my who was sound asleep. She even confirmed not seeing a power bank in the room of my daughter which apparently my daughter already packed it in her suitcase. Room space was very limited but was enough for me and my wife to go about things. Room was cleaned daily and towels were replaced.

Cons: Location of the building while convenient was insanely sketchy and quite scary to be honest. If I was female travelling alone I would not want to stay there. Everyone is harassing you to buy imitation rolex watches and ladies handbags or to stay at different hostels within the building. The wait for the elevator in order to get to your floor was also very annoying. They would proceed to cram the elevator past full capacity which made for a very uncomfortable ride.

Cons: Bed is a sofa bed, and although it’s double, it has a hard bump in the middle that didn’t allow you to sleep. Rooms are not very clean at arrival and are not cleaned properly daily (carpet, sink, towels). Staff is at times rude and not flexible (as most don’t speak English). The gym is a joke, the only 3 machines are old and tiny and the water dispenser only has hot and very hot water. Elevators are a nightmare, as it takes always between 5&10 minutes to go up or down.
