Hong Kong hotels in Tuen Mun District

Pros: we liked that it was by the beach, the staff was curious, and the shuttle ran to Kowloon and Central on the hour every hour.

Cons: Far from everything, but the shuttle helped.

Pros: Our kids loved the pool, slides and playroom

Cons: We skipped the Buffet breakfast as the price was too expensive for or 3 small children aged 3 to 5.

Pros: Good facilities catering for kids

Cons: Rooms are a little dated. Kids play rooms are additional cost

Pros: Fun for a few relaxing days of nothing but pool and beach.

Cons: The pool service was ridiculously bad. We waited over 45 minutes for 4 drinks...two soda cans, one draft beer and one cocktail! We asked for a late check out and they said no, and not in a very friendly way. Not sure if the service level has gone down in general or if we just went on a bad weekend, but our friends who recommended it and have been going for years also had a bad experience this time.

Pros: The kids liked the swimming pool, water play area, and the water slides. The breakfast buffet was good and a lot of choices. Nice location near to some restaurants and the beach. We had dinner at the chinese restaurant in the hotel. It was expensive but the food was very good. Staff was responsive to our request for room change.

Cons: The room was very basic and seemed dated. Our first room smelled of cigarettes so we had to change rooms (staff was very responsive to our request). The bed was hard and both my daughter and myself woke up with neck cramps. The shower facilities near the pool were too small - it was very crowded and many people waiting to use only 2 showers. The air quality in Hong Kong was "very serious" health risk during our stay so the views were not as good as the should have been and that limited our enjoyment of the pool and the beach.

Pros: The room was comfortable. The pools were fab.

Cons: It is a little far away from the centre of Hong Kong but we found the buses excellent, cheap and easy to use.

Pros: Room, view and pool

Cons: Food, some staff’s attitude and customer service, saw quite a few visitors spitting near the pool, and a child peeing into the shrubs next to the pool. Good for family with kids only.

Pros: An oasis, best money I've ever spent...if you need clean quiet relaxation this is the place

Pros: Best hotel swimming pools I've ever seen: a kiddie pool with water slides and an enormous, well maintained adult/older kid pool at a temperature suitable for laps. There is also a nice long public beach. Luxurious feel throughout the building and grounds, yet very kid friendly. We got very good rates by booking early. Dining options and a decent small grocery store a short walk away. Hotel dining is quite good, but pricey.

Cons: Access to Hong Kong's excellent public transit is less than convenient. A short taxi ride into Tuen Mun gives access to lots of shopping, dining, and bus and rail connections. The Hotel's shuttle is a bit expensive (by HK standards).
