Cons: Street noise could be heard through the sound proof windows. Tired and worn furnishings, carpet, walls etc. This is definitely not the standard of 5 star, more like a really great 3 star. Needs improvements physically. Should have stayed at the Euro Star Cathedral Hotel which receives a lower rating, when in fact it is better. Would recommend Cathedral instead for value for money, standards and quietness.

Cons: Very minor disappointment was that we stayed for 5 nights but the rooftop cocktail bar was only open on the last 2; that was fine but a 'private function' meant the we couldn't have a drink there on our final evening.

Cons: Do not expect the normal facilities or standards of a 5 star hotel. It is not 5 star, but it is perfectly adequate hotel if you are offered a good nightly rate. Examples are, in room coffee is a kettle and Nescafe sachet, bar on the top floor is a collection of chairs and a bar stocked with no more than 20 bottle option and just 3 cocktails. No gym and on my stay no room service after 7.30pm and the bar closed at 8pm.

Pros: The hotel is clean, the room looks nice and comfortable. The location is okay, if you don’t mind to walk a little bit to tourist place within 30 mins. We had a car but we’d like to walk in the city rather than driving. The hotel is okay if you don’t expect a fancy 4 stars hotel at a relatively cheap price.

Cons: The air conditioning in the rooms only works from May - sometime in the fall. So even though it was 30 degrees C outside in April, the rooms couldn't be cooled off without opening the windows. However the street noise makes it difficult to sleep with the windows open. Hotel mgmt said there was nothing they could do about this. We were told "it's winter....". I just find it strange that the lobby was air conditioned & cool, but the rooms couldn't be. Also if you're bringing a car please note the parking garage is a very tight fit.

Pros: We typically stay in more independent “guesthouse” or apartment-like accommodation, but decided to go a different route in Granada since our stay included NYE/NYD. It was the right choice as we were able to access services, if needed, 24/7 and the kids enjoyed them pool! The breakfast was excellent. The bathrooms were very nice and the room was well appointed. We found the rooms to feel quite comfortable and cozy, yet spacious.

When I asked for my gluten free bread to be cut and toasted at breakfast, I was told to put it through the restaurant toaster which was being used by everyone else. I had pre booked the restaurant for evening dinner as I wanted a special evening for myself and my husband as it was his Christmas present from me. The waiter was aware that I was dairy and gluten free but I was served a completely different meal from what I ordered, which contained both dairy and gluten of which I can have neither. The waiter put the meal down in front of me, pointed to the daufinoise potatoes and said, you can't have that but then he walked away and left me to it. I had ordered a pork steak but was presented with the leg of a bird coated in some sort of coating. Luckily, my husband had fish and we swapped meals without making a fuss.

Its literally next door to El Cortes Ingles, less than 5 mins walk from Granda centre with all the shops, bars, restaurants etc that you would expect. Its a really nice place to stay, decoration is Arab themed which is different and works well, the theme is carried through to the rooms. Bathrooms are a good size, ours had a very powerful shower which was really great. Walking distance to the Alhambra (uphill) is only 20 mins which makes the location perfect for sightseeing and an evening out. The bar serves great tapas too if you prefer in to out and is excellent value for money.

Pros: This is a city hotel, with a great location. Cons: If this hotel could change anything it would be the noise level. OK its in a city and city centres are noisy, BUT the quality of the double glazing in our room was so bad it didn't matter if you had the window open or not you could hear EVERYTHING. Thankfully both of us are pretty sound sleepers but it was a distraction and made the difference between rating this a good hotel rather than an excellent one. Breakfast selection was OK, but continental only, very little if any option for a hot breakfast (though not the end of the world obviously!) Final thought is DONT use the hotel car park at an eye watering 26 Euros per night - there are cheaper car parks less than 5 mins walk away and if you use an app such as ParClick and book ahead, you can get a multi night deal as I did for far far less. (38 Euros for 3 nights / 4 days)

Cons: One hotel desk clerk was rather condescending when we inquired about tickets to visit the Alhambra. The clerk who checked us in the previous evening assured us that we could get tickets in the morning through the hotel. All we needed to do was go down to the desk and they'd make the arrangements. In spite of his discouragement, we took our chances and went to the Alhambra and enjoyed a visit there.

Parking is a myth and you can only pay to park. They hotel offers a parking for 18€ a day. (Which we didn’t use. Parking on blue lines is 1.80€ for 2hours. Do the math)

The bar snack menu offerings were poor and unimaginative and the House Rioja, poor. The bedroom was quite small and the television reception was very poor for at least some channels.

Cons: booked this hotel because of the roof terrace with a view of the alhambra. The site and booking noted that they pool was closed but it did not make clear that the roof terrace was also locked. If I knew this I would have booked at a different hotel amd most likely for much cheaper rates. I was also annoyed to find out that half the hotel is old and the other is updated and new. Of course we were in the older section which was fine but just annoying because it felt like there was a lot of false advertising from the images and the info about the hotel. It was annoying mostly because each of the places we stayed in Seville, Malaga and Cordoba had roof terraces, which were open and lively. Not sure why they would not just leave the roof open to be able to see the view which is what they are advertising.

Pros: The hostel is really clean. The room and bathroom are very clean and comfortable. This hostel is super near to Alhambra palace and other attraction places in Granada. I can reach Alhambra by walking about 15 min. Quite easy to go. Kitchen are nice and well-equiped. Locker in the room also function good. But you have to bring the lock by yourself.

Pros: The location is super great, near the arc of Elvira, close both to the historical center and shopping area, not on the hill (easy to get to, there're parking and supermarkets in 5 min walking). Really recommend 30 sec walking wine bar "al sur de Granada". The beds are the best in Andalucia. We were in January - it was warm inside, double-glazed windows, hot water didn't end (in some other places it did because of a boiler size).

Pros: This hotel is perfectly located- easy to get to with a car, not too central but with a nice walking distance to the sight seeings. I was absolutely surprised to see how clean and well kept our room was, as we were travelling with our small dog and it was pet friendly. We even had a balcony!! The service was great, the room very clean and comfortable. I will for sure go back!

Cons: The SPA area.. It has everything listed on the booking and the photos are accurate, but it doesn't make you feel like you are in a SPA. The saunas were not very hot, the jacucci was alright. Some more love to this area would be great.

Cons: Room was very small. I asked for a room with a view and my view looked out into the vent shaft in the middle of the hotel and windows of rooms surrounding it. The hotel restaurant was closed while I was there and the bar seemed to have very little to offer. Hotel parking is limited and expensive at 19€ a day!
