Pros: The location is easy to find out by car - this is the end of the freeway. The city centre can be reached by bus 33 (the bus stop is in 3 mins walking, 1.4 EUR in one way). Each day I was walking by a sidewalk to the city centre (Starbucks), it took 45 mins. The Parking garage is 5 EUR per day. The underground parking is big enough (even an SUV can be parked). The hotel room is clean. A refrigerator is into the room.

Pros: Excellent value hotel. Easy to find, and in a good area. Easy for parking and buses into centre of town/bus station. Staff beyond helpful. Room immaculate, beds and bedding excellent. Loads of good quality towels. Love the fact had bedside lighting to read. a/c works well. Bathroom excellent. Fridge in room is a real bonus. No road noise with window closed as good glazing, and OK with it open. We were at the side, am guessing no road noise in rooms at the back with windows open. Breakfast very good, coffee and orange juice, bread, croissant, cheese, ham, etc. Not sure why this hotel is rated 1 star, because it is much better than that. Puerta de Alhambra restaurant next door does amazing menu de dia too. Will use again without hesitation.

Pros: If I say this was my sixth stay at hotel Albero, I think I said it all. And there is always something new and improved about the hotel. Really comfortable beds and cosy rooms. Spotlessly clean. A little fridge in the room. Good wifi. Room with a balcony was special touch this time. Above all, homely feel. Location is very good. It is so easy to find, and although a little bit far from downtown, you can take a bus (it will cost almost nothing) to the centre (5-10 minutes) or to Alhambra, which is just up the hill. Free parking on street. Special thanks to the owner. Thank you for your warm welcome, your kindness and friendliness. See you next year :-) Every time hotel Albero exceeds all our expectations and that's why we keep coming back. Highly recommended!

Pros: Clean, spacious room with good WiFi, clean bathroom. You get the code to enter the hotel if you come later at night. I had to use it when going to the Sacromonte flamenco show. Pros: This is a basic lodging, well located for people on the way to Alhambra (5 min by car or bus) or Sierra Nevada. For the center of Granada, this is not a good choice. The room was very clean and had all the basics needed. There's public parking in the surroundings.

If you don't mind driven up and down the mountain every day for skiing as we did, then is this the absolute place to stay. A simple but good bar/restaurant right around the corner.

Pros: Immaculately clean, lovely on suite room, room 6 has doors into little garden area, we were fortunate to be given this room. Use of computer if required, small living room if required but tv in the room. Very homely. Hostel so no bar or breakfast but this is to be expected, but out the front door and round the corner is a lovely little bar restaurant. kettle in the room, no fridge but take long life milk so no problems. two minutes walk to bus into city, 10 minute journey, couple of euros each. Taxi home was less than 6 euros. Alhambra Palace 2 minutes drive away. no parking but can park in the surrounding streets. So park up and leave the car, palace walkable distance if you want to keep your parking place. Will definitely return here if we visit Granada again.

The hotel was very easy to find, we used the co ordinates for the Sat Nav. The receptionist recommended that we leave the car in the underground parking and use a taxi to go into the city centre. This would have been a good idea as parking in Granada is busy. We had an evening meal at the hotel which was adequate although they were not very large portions. Staff were able to speak English so that helped us, although we did try out our Spanish. Check in and out was smooth and we were not kept waiting on either occasion. Parking was excellent, a large space and only 11 euros a night.

Cons: A non-descript cube right at the end of a highway. Convenient if you travel by car and can avoid the narrow lanes of Granada, but parking is not free (11€ per day). Breakfast is also expensive, any breakfast alternative is a 15 min. bus ride away. Employees appear stressed out, probably by the large Chinese tour groups arriving there.

Cons: As in almost all of these kind of hotels it is impossible to control your own room temperature. The airconditioning didn't work, therefore I complained about our room being too hot too sleep to the reception and the receptionist said she would turn down our heating in her computer system and advised us to open a window. Even after that, it was so hot in the room that we had to sleep without sheets. Opening the window helped a little but brought in the sounds of the very busy conjunction of streets on which the hotel is located. The second night the room seemed even hotter and in the middle of the night i called the reception to complain, but both phones in the room didnt work! It was impossible to sleep in this hotel. Would never go back.
