Good location, decent breakfast
Fairly overpriced. The rooms are in a style of an average business hotel, both standard rooms as well the suites. The beds are great, but the rest is very standard. Although online there’s a focus on the historic details of the buildings, most of the rooms are actually in a seperate building. The room we got was very smelly (also acknowledged by the porter). When discussing with the general manager, he first wanted to give us an alternative room which was a downgrade in the room. Only after much discussion we got another room. Both the service as well as the building itself was not the standard you would expect from a Marriot affiliated hotel. Frankly, even with a significant discount, the place is overpriced. Have stayed in much nicer places for considerably less
Was a very nice spacious and well decorated room. Throughly enjoyed our stay with a great location at the heart of the city
The location was good, just a short taxi ride from the railway station, and within a few minutes walk of the Cathedral, Capila Real, the Albaicin and Realejo areas. Being on level ground, rather than up the hill on which the Alhambra was situated, was convenient; depending on walking speed and how good one is with hills, the main entrance to the Alhambra is about a 20/25 minute walk away. The staff were pleasant. The architecture and design of the hotel were very good indeed, with a lovely central courtyard. Our room was just off a further small courtyard, which would have been more pleasant but for the heavy rain which meant sitting outside was impossible! The room itself was comfortable, with a good bathroom and the restaurant was good, with pleasant staff.
The breakfast - at 22 Euros - was very expensive. We ate elsewhere on our second morning.
I didn't need a car on my city tours , it’s perfect!
The check out is early .
