The worst car rental experience of my life. I have rented cars in Mexico before, and this was by far the most miserable pickup experience. I'd rather travel on a donkey than rent from Europcar again. They are thieves trying to take advantage of tourists by upselling useless insurance products. They should all be in jail.Reviewed 17 Mar 2023

Pros:Drop off was super easy and streamlinedCons:Europcar in Cancun refused to accept my CDW, collusion damage waiver. Even though i had all the correct paperwork and even called the company who handled the coverage. Apparently even though it states they will accept CDW, they will not and they will give you a huge runaround as to why which isn't true, but when you are there, you basically have no choice but to accept whatever they charge for the extra coverage. My rental was $94, they charged an additional $250. This should just be charged up front to avoid all the hassleReviewed 28 May 2021

Pros:Poor experience enough that I will never consider using Europcar again and reconsider Kayak as well.Cons:The staff lied to me immediately upon entering-which took a half hour. They told me that they had no contract with our insurance companies, American Express and State Farm , and as I result the company policy was that I had to buy full insurance. They also stated that the price quoted on the internet did not bind them as Kayak was only an agent. I have lived in Mexico for years and know that he was in fact lying to me. Ultimately we 'negotiated' a price that was twice what we were promised. I ended up with 3 insurances covering the vehicle and almost wished something happened to it. Pros:Literally nothingCons:They simply did not have a car. It is a car rental without cars available. Dozens of passengers like us where trapped there doing paperwork but not getting the car they booked at the end. Never seen a business so disorganized in my life. Pros:I didn’t like any part of it! They were so rude, and they charged us more then what I purchased online. They even told me I couldn’t use my own insurance. Lastly they charged me for something I was not responsible for. DO NOT GO TO THEM TO RENT A CAR!!!Cons:The supervisor Carolina García was extremely rude. She didn’t explain anything or have any time of professional manners and charged us an extra fee. Pros:Literally nothing. Worst rental experience of my life. I travel a lot and have never encountered such blatant disregard for peoples time and money. It was the most unprofessional business I have ever encountered.Cons:Everything. It took many hours out of my vacation. To start, the car pickup was supposed to be at the airport but they shuttled us to a location 10 minutes away. Showed up to the pickup spot and it looked like a scene from a war movie, like people(half dead bodies) lying(in rubble) on benches(in Fallujah), groggy(wounded) people just swaying back and forth because they are(stunned from the devastation) so bored from waiting. There was no direction, no one greeted me, and no one let me know what the hell was going on. There were a bunch of unmanned kiosks with broken iPads and all the employees were busy arguing with customers. Finally got someone to help me, by help I mean he placed me on the waiting list to be helped. Once I was finally helped it was clearly a game of “how much money can I scam out of this customer”. Nothing beyond this point got better, it got worse , but I’m tired of pointing out what is obviously an open scam.Reviewed 31 Dec 2020
