First of all the insurance and fees more than doubled the price that I paid online, then when I was checking out, I told the gentleman that was doing my paperwork that I had 12:00pm as the return time, however, I wouldn’t be back until 3:00pm. He said that wouldn’t be a problem, and there wouldn’t be any charges because I would be returning it the same day. When I returned the car at 3:00, they said there would be a charge of $180 for an extra day!! I told him what the other guy had told me, he said that I was “misinformed” and that it was “their policy to charge for an extra day if you return the car after your return time!!” The fees ended up being at least triple the amount of the original cost, and the bus took around 45 minutes to get there, not the 5 minutes that they said it would take!!! I will be making some phone calls! I’ll never use this company again! What a scam!!!!Reviewed 21 Nov 2022

The price quoted and already charged was for around $30. When we got there and they demanded $230 more plus up to a $5000.00 deposit. That’s usd! Total scam! We called a taxi to leave and he said they are notorious for that. He personally picks up someone once or twice a month for the same thing.Reviewed 27 Oct 2022

This company gives you an online price and then adds fees to it regarding taxes and insurances which triples the price when arriving in person. Read the fine print before accepting their car and they do not give good quality cars. We had a 2018 March Nissan which was too compact for three people! Definitely do not recommend this companyReviewed 29 Sep 2022

Reviewed 25 Aug 2022

This company engages in classic fraudulent advertising. They tell you the car costs like $7 or $10 USD per day - which is a great price! As my personal auto insurance provides coverage while renting cars, and as my personal credit card also provides coverage, I do not need to purchase duplicative insurance from the rental company. When I went to pick up the car - which is located about a 25 minute ride from the airport in Cancún, by the way - I was informed that they had to put a charge of $8,000 USD on my credit card, for the full value of the vehicle. I agreed. They then "attempted" to charge this on my card but they said that the charge was denied by the card issuer. Standing in the rental agency, I called the company and inquired about the issue, and they told me that no attempt to charge even this ridiculous amount of $8,000 had been made. The vendor then tried to to negotiate the price of the insurance with me - which I again denied. It seems that the company does some sort of trick to their credit card machines whereby it spits out a rejection slip (LIMITE EXCEDIDO), without ever attempting to charge the card this money. Then, when the car rental people tell you that the charge cannot go through, they offer you a reduced price for the insurance. In short, the low prices that are advertised are not offered. This company will NOT rent you a car if you do not purchase their very expensive, and in my case, entirely unnecessary, insurance packages. I will submit this comment to PROFECO - the Mexican Government Agency that defends consumers' rights - for further action on their end.Reviewed 23 Aug 2022

This is a racket. The listed price is cheap, but when you show up, they charge 4x times the price in « insurance ». Run away!Reviewed 23 Aug 2022

Worst experience ever. This is a scam don't rent from this company. I paid before I left on my trip cause it was so cheap only $25 a day everything included but no refunds. Once I got there they told me I need to pay $30 a day on top for insurance al though I had my own insurance they wouldn't let me use it unless I give them a $20000 US dollars deposit so I was forced to use their insurance and pay $30 a day. The workers were very rude and they would ignore any questions I had. They didn't give me the car I had book they give a very old car which was damaged all around the back seat had puke stains all over it and wasn't cleaned properly. When I told them this isn't the car I picked and that it's dirty they said this is the only car they have. Although there was 100s of cars on their lot. The worst experience and worst day ever with this company to save yourself a headache never book with this company. The wait time was crazy also. Took them over an hour to pick me up from the airport and then I spend over 2 hours waiting to get a broken and dirty car that I had paid and reserved for months ago.Reviewed 20 Aug 2022

There were hidden insurance fees of $30 usd a day. They also took forever to get us shuttled there and then a long wait to sign documents, then a long wait to get the car to us. Took 2 hours and an extra $90 of insurance to get the car. Oh and the battery of the fob was dead.Reviewed 17 Aug 2022

This was by far the worst car renting experience in my lifetime. It took us an hour to find the airport-to-rental shuttle because there was none. Some guy was hiding in shade with a t-shirt for one car company, while we rented from the other, while turns out they were the same company. Once we found him, he called the shuttle, and eventually the shuttle arrived. When we finally got to the rental office, they charged us another $450 USD for "mandatory insurance", and another $900 USD as a "mandatory deposit." They wouldn't release the car to us otherwise. That was on top of $250 that I paid to Kayak. It then took an hour to have them bring us the car. We arrived to Cancun at 2pm, and we were finally able to drive off the lot at 5:30pm. That's two and half hours to rent a car in 90F heat, with two young kids. That's insane. But the best part was the car, and the car was a junker! When you get a small car in US, you get something small but nice. The car we got here was all scratched up, dented, had rubber bits peeling off, had a missing wiper, and no windshield fluid. The biggest problem was the transmission. At slow speeds, or on hills, the transmission simply disengaged! The car would just stop in the middle of the road, and required going back to neutral and back to Drive in order to reactivate. All in all, I'd rent this 0 stars experience. It was awful.Reviewed 10 May 2022

Fair Warning: Avoid this company! When I showed up, they refused to rent the car to me unless I produced a written copy of my insurance or purchased a $700 insurance policy from them. I had already purchased insurance from an independent company, but there was never any notification that I needed to bring proof in a certified paper document. When I asserted that my Citbank credit card also provided rental car insurance as a backup, they refused that as well. My $200 booking turned into a $900 booking, and I was stuck paying for it because I was now off-airport at their site and had no easy way to get back to the airport to rent something else. This was a scam if ever I saw one.Reviewed 5 Apr 2022
