Really bad experience. It was truly a horrible experience. I rented a car online, selecting the model with the features and price I wanted, but when I arrived at the agency, they gave me a smaller, cheaper car with different features. In addition, I had to wait around 40 minutes due to a mistake they made with a customer who arrived just before me. She was also unhappy because we paid for one car and they gave us a different one. It was a total fiasco. I asked for a refund or the difference, since the car they gave me was smaller. The response was dismissive and rude: no refunds, no more cars. They did not have the Rent-A-Car. I reserved when I arrived to pick it up. I was told there were no cars available whatsoever. That left me completely stranded at the airport. I was then offered a vehicle that was an upgrade for an additional $50 a day, but they would not approve my secondary driver because it was an upgraded vehicle. My entire trip was based on renting a vehicle with two drivers. I was going to stay and the secondary driver was going to return the vehicle back to the Calgary airport. Because the car was not available for us. I had to drive eight hours to return the car. I will never rent from dollar/thrifty/Hertz again.Reviewed 19 Mar 2025
