Cons: We loved our stay but if we had to change one thing it would be the shower over the bath. A walk in shower would be much better.

Pros: Facilities
Cons: The hotel is hard to find. Even the GPS struggled to get us there. Old world atmosphere, with some unusual and welcome additions; a bottle of whisky at the reception desk to parch the thirst and ease the frustration of locating the place. Another fun touch, a putter and play practice green in the room. It is a nice place but would I stay there again? probably not.
It's the little things that matter in a hotel and the dinning reception left us cold.
We made dinner reservations and showed up on time, appropriately dressed, only to be kept waiting while others streamed by, were welcomed, and seated. Eventually,We were placed in a back room at what must have been the worst table in the place, center stage, traffic area in a room surrounded by cozy booths. The Food and service excellent, but the second rate treatment left a bad taste.
So we move on, to a better experience somewhere else.

Pros: The property looks great, the bed was comfortable and the staff were fantastic and very welcoming. The breakfast was lovely. As a vegan it’s often hard to eat when I’m travelling and I don’t always remember to phone ahead to ask about food. Here they had dairy free butter, plant milk and a nice veggie breakfast. I was even sent out avocado without requesting it when I asked for the veggie breakfast without eggs. aAl in all, a great stay.

Pros:
Cons: Parking facilities
7.0 Good
Pros: I loved the hotel and the staff and upgraded our room by €30 unfortunately we had a room that looked over a side street that at 5 am this morning a Guinness truck arrive and for a solid hour they rolled barrels toward it could not sleep
Cons: As above
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location - central to where we wanted to be! Brilliant friendly and helpful staff - always pleasant and cheerful.Comfortable room with comfy chairs and comfy bed.The ladies who serviced the rooms were brilliant! Car park good - although five minutes away we secured parking for our stay at 10 euro for 24 hours. The staff in the dining room at breakfast were lovely and helpful. The reception staff were brilliant also.
Cons: Tea and coffee in rooms - herbal/fruit tea selection would have been a nice alternative. Breakfast a vegan free zone unless a request was specially made. The fruit at breakfast seemed to be packed in syrup or sugar which makes a healthy fruity alternative a bit less healthy! The almond milk - although a very welcome alternative to dairy - seemed to be sweetened. Again a less healthy choice.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and comfortable old-school Hotel. Very nice Bar Staff and quick service. Breakfast was nice and Staff very nice.
Cons: Check-In Staff could have communicated better. Concierge could have helped with opening the door.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: The bedroom was cold and heating controlled from reception which after requesting still only made a slight difference. There was no heating appliance of any sort in the bathroom. It was not our first time staying there, but, was our first Monday night. There was no bar food available on this occasion, only dining room which didn’t suit us. There appears to new staff being trained in the bar each time we stay there with very little experience or even English language ? We had to go out town in severe weather to have our needs met.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very beautiful hotel, especially for the price! Perfect location and friendly staff! Cannot go wrong!
Cons: Nothing to complain about! Excellent!
9.0 Excellent

Pros: Very nice and friendly staff and the room was lovely and big and warm, which was great since the weather was so cold and wet during our stay.
Cons: The food and drink in the hotel is expensive and a bit disappointing, I expected more given the high cost. There's some great restaurants a 10-15 minute walk away in the city centre which are better value so it's worth taking a look at them if you are staying there.

Pros: For breakfast there was two options: Buffet with basic options like bread and toppings for it and for whole breakfast you got some warm food aswell, like sausages, bacon and egg and other Irish foods. I would recommend to take whole breakfast to power up your day. Location was really close to city center which gives lots of options to spent time and go see around - everything is close. Biggest plus is from parking in hotel's yard which is huge plus for people with car. Me and my girlfriend got view towards river going through Cork and view was really pretty when you could see far. Customer service was good and always got answers to questions easily.

Pros: Immaculately clean old world hotel (Victorian building). Quiet rooms. Reasonably priced restaurant with gastro pub vibe.
Cons: Elevators could do with some sprucing up and the jolt with which they stop on reaching your floor can easily raise an eyebrow. Food is only available at set times in the restaurant. I had a late start on Sunday morning and there was little available.
6.0 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Room was a bit tired, staff at evening meal and breakfast were not attentive.
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful 4-5 stars! Comfort and extremely roomy.
Cons: No fault of theirs but to walk from train it’s best to be part mountain goat. Hotel is on a big hill ( and I mean big) overlooking town. We taxied the luggage up the hill with as many passengers as would fit and the rest of us hiked up the road. Very steep!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: For breakfast there was two options: Buffet with basic options like bread and toppings for it and for whole breakfast you got some warm food aswell, like sausages, bacon and egg and other Irish foods. Cons: Sound isolation from hallway was so-so. It wasn't like bad but you could hear people talking easily through the door, but luckily all commotion happened early evening and didn't cause trouble to fall asleep. Shower was bit unpractical as it was static and attached to wall. A lack of fridge was bit also issue but hotel told that we can borrow their fridge if needed but luckily didn't have anything that required fridge.
6.7 Good
Pros:
Cons: Could hear banging of doors every few minutes. Could hear the people in the next room having a conversation very clearly. I question the cleanliness of the place, especially bathroom. Bed was uncomfortable. I upgraded to the superior room, where I’d expect a less noisy part of the hotel and a thorough clean for the additional cost.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was spacious, restaurant was very good.
Cons: Limited parking (had to wait 40 min. for a spot), room smelled a bit like pets had been in there, shower leaked on floor, location was not great.

Pros: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We booked our stay last-minute and they did their best to accommodate us and got us a cheaper rate than what we had booked. Each person that we talked to at reception gave us helpful tips for our trip and made some great recommendations!
Beds were comfortable enough.
We had a room with an ensuite, though we didn't know it was an ensuite until we were leaving...oops. We just never thought to look. The bathrooms attached to the rooms are much nicer than the public bathrooms.
Continental breakfast is offered in the mornings. I believe it was 3 or 5 euros each.

Pros: The place has everything you need. The location is good. Clean. The bed was not bad but no privacy.
Cons: The male workers were quite friendly and kind but the female workers were somehow doesn’t look like they want spend their time for the customers which was a pity because that would make our impression. There was noisy people....maybe I was unlucky. Didn’t have a good sleep because of that.

Pros: I have great time for all staff as they are all so pleasant and very helpful and understanding
Cons: Iv been in and out of this hostel for awhile never had anything bad to say apart from this ...I was in a 14 bed mixed dorm and in my room I got a very bad smell of weed in the dorm and was worse in the toilet I went to speak to a night porter he said he would go up to the room to see for himself he agreed he smelt it also and refuse to do anything about of they were smoking out in the smoking are that's fine but as soon as I opened the bathroom door the smell hit me as is way to strong either someone smoked in the bathroom or was carrying something on them I just taught it was unfair for me and other who were also in the dorm I just think something like this should of been looked into not pushed a side the night porter at the time was useless and was very ignorant towards me and looked like he didn't wanna help at all

Cons:
1.0 Poor
Pros: Customer service.
Cons: The place was stinking. The stairs were badly stinking however shower rooms smelt nice however I didn’t use them. There is no room for the luggage in the room so you literally have to put your luggage on the minimum space available of the floor. Wouldn’t recommend staying there at all unless you are not bothered about the smell.

Pros: The shower in the room was freezing cold but other than that everything was OK. I enjoyed my stay overall
Cons: Cold water
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Super staff, decent price, good location, solid wifi.
Cons: No lift. Facilities and amenities are awkward or dated. You'll see what I mean.

Cons: The bed was so uncomfortable. For the price per night I have stayed often in a queen's bed with feather pillows an duvet for far less
