Pros:The whole facility was completely understaffed. Up to 50 people we’re having to wait outside in sub zero temperatures while there were perhaps 75 to 100 waiting in line inside. I will never use budget again.Cons:The whole facility was completely understaffed. The rental facility is not onsite, as advertised on Kayak!Pros:Other than having to ride a shuttle bus to the facility, the pick up was smooth and the car was adequate. The rental clerk did try to talk me into a “slight” upgrade that would have doubled the price of my rental.Cons:I arrived at the offsite rental facility at 4:10 am for my 5:35 flight and waited for 35 minutes for the shuttle to the airport, causing me to have to sprint through the airport to make my plane, just after the doors to the gateway closed. The attendant in the rental facility was surly, continually telling the growing number of customers that the shuttle bus was on the way back from the airport and would arrive shortly. He finally picked up the radio and called the driver, then told us he had no more information and the situation was out of his control. We suggested that Budget might start shuttling people to the terminal in cars, but he continued to maintain that the bus had left the airport and would arrive “soon.”Reviewed 8 Apr 2018

surprisingly ineptCons:My flight arrived at Denver International around 1020 pm. After waiting outside at the island under the Budget sign for 18 minutes (I timed it), I called the number on the email I received from Kayak only to find out that the number was for Avis, not Budget. The budget agent then transferred me. Now talking to Budget, I asked if the shuttle was still running and if so how frequently it ran. I was told by the agent that the shuttle runs roughly every 5-6 minutes. After I told her it had been 18 minutes, she told me I could take an Avis shuttle as well since they were in the same place. 2 minutes later an Avis shuttle arrived and I hopped on. 2 other people joined me on the Avis bus with the expectation of going to Budget. After we arrived at the off-site Avis location, I asked the shuttle driver where the Budget drop-off was located. She said it was over a mile away and that she was forbidden from taking us any closer. So we then went back to the airport. 3 minutes after being dropped off at the original Avis pickup location at the airport, a Budget shuttle arrived so I hopped on board. After a condescending counter experience, I headed out to the assigned car. Upon reaching the exit gate, the person working the gate demanded my rental agreement and driver’s license. After he handed them back I said “thank you” and was met with a disinterested “uh-huh”. Now on the road for roughly 10 minutes into the 65 minute drive, I decided to turn on the radio. However the radio didn’t work. I then tried to turn on the interior lights so I could figure the radio but the interior lights didn’t work either. I had rented the exact same make and model of car 2 days earlier so I knew exactly how to work the interior. Given no radio, I decided to plug my phone into the USB port and listen to music through my phone. 5 minutes later my phone died—turns out the USB port wasn’t working. After this disaster, the next day I took my 1-way rental into the Colorado Springs airport. I told the woman behind the desk that I would like a refund because of all the issues. Additionally, the tank wasn’t full when I picked up the car, yet I had been told I was responsible for returning the car with a full tank – so I did. The woman behind the counter said she couldn’t help me with the gas because I didn’t have a receipt and also couldn’t help me with a refund because she was only the “destination” location. Any refunds had to be provided by the “origination” location. After that she gave me a number to call. As of today (the next day) I have yet to call the number. I’m trying to speculate what the next excuse will be. So this is where things sit. If you were me, would you rent from you?Reviewed 12 Oct 2016

Pros:Getting the car after being on the line for 2 hours.Cons:Better signage. If you have fast break it should be better marked throughout so a person doesn't stand on the line in the AVIS building. If you are fastbreak you need to go to the AVIS PREFERRED building in the lot to the right of the main Avis building. Shuttle service was fast. Don't expect a smaller crowd due to covid.Reviewed 3 Jan 2021
