Pros: NothingCons: Booked the car through Kayak, the Enterprise location didn’t actually have a car available (the website shouldn’t allow me to book through them). The enterprise did try to call immediately after I booked and left a voicemail telling me they didn’t actually have vehicles for the next morning, but I didn’t receive the voicemail. I spent $40 on an Uber to their location, only to be told by their agent they they didn’t have cars, and that they did call to tell me that the night prior. When asked why they didn’t try calling again in the morning, to perhaps save me a trip, they basically had no response. The customer service at the location was non-existent, there was no attempt to rectify or apologize for the inconvenience, the woman “helping” me never made eye contact with me, and repeatedly just kept saying, “we did call and leave you a message.” It was clear they had no interest or concept of customer service, so I had them cancel the reservation, I then booked direct through National Car Rental at the airport for the next day and had a great experience. I won’t book through Kayak again, had this been a business trip it could have caused serious issues. When I reserve a vehicle I need to be able to trust that it’s an actual reservation.

The stability track was was not working and have hazard lights the entire week. Would have been nice to get a little more information on how to move the backseat out so that we could carry our luggage.

Cons: The staff at the location did not have a car available for me and I was never made aware. I called to see if it would be ready early and that’s when I was informed of the issue. They had to go get one from the airport which resulted in me picking up my car 3 hours late and even then they never assured me it would be there they just kept saying to show at 3 and they would see what they could do

Pros: Unlimited mileageCons: Was hoping for Toyota Camry as advertised in full size class. Chevy Malibu was very, very difficult to figure out controls -never did on many things. If son had not been along to help with turning things on, off, up, down and being co-pilot, I would've had a nervous breakdown! Taught me that I will never buy a Malibu, even if it was offered near free, Also location was far from home, had to keep three days longer than planned till I can get a ride home from Leetsdale Drive without paying $40 for ride

Pros: The first person who assisted me was very nice and help me getting a better car for the snow so I upgraded to a 4x4 SUV my rentCons: having the car clean no with mud and dust and papers and stuff inside plus with wash fluid because at the middle of my trip from Denver to Vail I got the low wash fluid sign the first time I used it so obviously before getting to Vail I ran out of wash fluid in the middle of a snow storm which made the beginning of my trip very dangerous because of a lack of supervision from your company which delivered a car which has recently dropped at your facilities, very bad honestly.

Pros: The lady who assisted us in dropping off the car was very pleasant and I appreciated that, as it was very cold and early. The shuttle to the airport was prompt and helpful.Cons: I had reserved a car for around $200 online. When I arrived (after standing in a line for over 30 minutes) I was told that I had to have an AWD vehicle by state law. I "was lucky" and they had 1 AWD vehicle left in stock. It took my total to $755. If that is the case, why even have the other vehicles available to rent in the first place? I saw plenty of people driving non-AWD rental cars and they presumably didn't get fined. I was also urged to purchase a toll pass for $9.99/day because "I would definitely go through multiple tolls". I didn't go through one toll and had to pay $69.93 for nothing. It seems like a big scam and rip off. I hope that NO ONE is taken "advantage" of like I was again.

Pros: Farah, who welcomed me at the counter, was very personable and professional.Cons: The car was dirty inside and out. probably due to the previous day's snowstorm. In addition, the gas tank was not full although hard to tell from the gauge. It was only obvious when refilling.

Pros: The price was the best part.Cons: We waited for more than 30 minutes for a shuttle to show up at the airport to take us to the rental facility. Ordinarily this wouldn't be a big deal, but for a family including four hungry children just getting off of a long flight, that was quite a disappointing aspect of our rental experience.

Pros: The staff (Meagan and Terrah) were very responsive! We reserved a 2-wheel drive vehicle which ended up being the wrong choice. They were so helpful and were able to upgrade us to a 4-wheel drive vehicle without any hassle at all. They even upgraded us to a 4-door Jeep Wrangler which we absolutely loved!Cons: Great experience. I'll plan to use you again.

Cons: Shuttle pick up at the air port is at least 30 min. Pretty embarrassing when every other rental car company had multiple shuttles every 5-8 minutes. First car they assigned me smelled like straight cigarette smoke. Second car they replaced that with had a tire that needed to be filled up every 3 days. Turns out the other tires were insanely over inflated, so that’s cool and super safe feeling. I paid too much for a full size SUV to receive a Mitsubishi Outlander with no other car option available at the time. They would of course upgrade me to a “nicer” full size (4Runner, etc) for an additional $40/day. No thanks.

Pros: Car was fine, pick-up and drop were fine. My issue would be with the signage on the buses (on EVERY window of the bus) letting passengers know you are limiting the number of people onboard and requiring all to wear masks to protect us. And then the driver just keeps on letting people board - every seat was taken, people were standing and maskless.Cons: Actually complying with the signage

Pros: The front desk gentleman was great and very helpfulCons: The vehicle was dirty inside and out, windshield has smudges all over the inside glass, car had not been vacuumed well, the outside was dirty as well. My first time using your service outta DIA and was kinda disappointed compared to my usual rental. Also the car was not in the best shape considering I paid for a premium vehicle, a Cadillac what was dirty, had a few dents and scratches, around the car the wheels were curb rashes pretty good. I get they are rental vehicles trust me I do, I used a rental often but when you pay for a upgrade you kind of expect and nice well kept vehicle for your money. The car also had a slight odor to it when we got, not sure exactly what it was but it went away about a day or two later so it wasn’t too bad. This review is not meant in a bashful way, it’s constructive feedback. Your customer service was wonderful as I said and customer service goes a lot farther in my book so for that I appreciate the service but the cars could use a litter more attention. Thank you

Pros: The return process was easy enough, compared to everything else we endured.Cons: Well, I've never had such an awful experience with a company before. Renting a car in Denver for 6 days to ski, we became aware of a massive storm that would trap us in the mountains, and a death in the family. I called Alamo to inquire about adding another driver to the car (the only way to get the other party to the funeral on-time, and let us avoid the storm). Alamo's number in Denver directed to a national hotline in Tennessee. The gentleman was completely unhelpful and insisted we physically be present at an Alamo location to add an additional driver (again, impossible, given the circumstances). He assured us that the Denver location would call us back (they never did). We even tried calling through the general airport hotline to be directed to the individual location, again, nope! Alamo basically gave us zero options and left us high and dry. Talk about first and last time ever using this company!

Pros: Staff picking up car was OK. Returning car Staff, assistant manager was great and apologized.Cons: We rented and paid for a Chrysler 300 or silimlar like Camry and instead we got a small KIA Forte which is not similar. The KIA was too small for 4 adults adults 69 to 75 years old and was very hard getting in and out of this smaller car which made the trip less enjoyable. Felt like they should have upgraded us to a similar car which they said KIA was but said they would upgrade us for $120 more which was ridiculous. Happy with Kayak but unhappy with Sixt. Thanks and have a great and blessed day.

Pros: The staff was great, both coming and going. They informed me about toll roads, gave me advice and handled my worries about a rock chip on the windshield professionally.Cons: Only one minor note... A rock chip was noted on the windshield in my rental agreement prior to driving off the lot. It's my fault for not seeing that on either the email or printed agreement until I got home from my trip, so I worried about it when I noticed it in the daylight when it had gotten worse after a temperature shift and lengthening of the crack. I didn't see it when I picked it up, because it was dark outside. It would have been helpful if the attendant had highlighted that for me. It would have saved me some mental grief during the trip, because I thought it happened on my watch. It's a minor thing that serves as a personal reminder to check the paperwork more closely. I'm actually relieved as I write this and will likely use Sixt again!

Pros: The car was very clean and very gas efficient. Shuttle was efficient and helpful.Cons: Drop off in the morning was a little hard to find / figure out in the dark (4 a.m. car drop off). Prices seemed very high. Information on website was unclear/inaccurate regarding where to find rental location (seems to be disjointed or not consistent with airport labeling). Calls to Avis Denver seeking clarification went unanswered and were cut off after a few rings.

Pros: Nothing! They Stranded me and my son and could care lessCons: Avis allowed me to use my debit card for a deposit two-three times before. They wouldn’t allow it this time and wouldn’t get a supervisor either. The lady was rude and could care less! I was only needing to go 75 miles with a drop off at the local airport as soon as a few hours later. Their policy to not allow “in state” people to use a debit card that have an in state license is ridiculous. That info would have been nice to have before I got turned away! I would have looked at other rental agencies.

Pros: That we eventually received a vehicle.Cons: Reservation was supposed to be booked for Denver airport but after 3 hrs in line at AVIS discovered rental was for another location that was closed. Agent was able to secure a car at 4x the cost. Should have crossed checked the pickup address but the lack of transparency on the Kayak site is largely to blame. If the initial search is for Denver airport the that is what should be presented. I will never book through Kayak again.

Pros: It was an AWD vehicle.Cons: I picked the car up late night after a long day of travelling. The lot wasn't particularly well lit and it appeared the car hadn't been washed. I still had a two hour drive ahead of me so since the interior was clean I just headed out. I woke the next morning to find that what I thought was a dirty vehicle actually wasn't dirty. Somehow a large portion of the paint had been scraped off of the hood and roof in particular as well as around the door handles. I've never seen such damage, actually, and haven't a clue how it could even happen. I sent pictures in immediately and am hopeful that I won't get charged some massive amount of money for my oversight. On my last day of the rental the check engine light started to come on inconsistently. I checked the obvious things and the car did make the two hour drive back to Denver without incident, but it was a bit stressful. The agents at the location were sullen, at best, and offered no assistance regarding the paint damage when I returned the vehicle.

Cons: The Payless location was closed. I had to figure out with no signage at the Payless location or information on my reservation that the Avis location was servicing Payless customers. There was absolutely NO communication about this. I had to walk with 3 bags to the Avis location after being stranded at the Payless location. No one at Payless or Priceline could or wanted to help me. This caused me to be delayed by an hour, and it was an annoying and difficult situation do deal with. This needs to be remedied for future customers!!!

Pros: Vehicle was new and clean, drop-off experience was efficient if a bit under-signed/explained.Cons: Pick-up was incredibly slow due to lack of staff and a confusing setup. Signage was poor and Payless does not seem to have a strong presence at what is essentially an Avis facility. This includes the shuttle service. The Avis and Payless lines are adjacent but the Avis one moves more quickly and presents as more "official." Counter staff serve both lines but the Avis line progressed far faster. Once at the counter the rep. was very friendly and helpful. No major issues once departing the airport although given Denver in the winter with a bulk of these vehicles headed to the mounts an ice scraper would have been helpful.

Pros: Drop off was easy, but not fully clear process. I wasn’t sure if I could just leave the car and walk away or if I needed to stand in line to check out. I asked an employee before she started working with a customer, and she was able to quickly check me out.Cons: The wait to pick up was way too long. From the time we waited for the shuttle to the time I had keys in my hand was 1 hr 45 mins. There were only 3 people working the counter and the line was at least 15 people/groups deep. By the time it was my turn, there were no cars that fit my reservation, which was ok since it think I ended up getting an upgrade. I was just glad I wasn’t charged for the upgrade and that there was a car available for me.

Pros: The car was fine, and the people were nice enough. There weren't just enough of them, and reading the comments, this is a common problem. The business is going cheap on staffing and shuttles.Cons: The line to get on the shuttle at arrival, AND the line to get the car, AND the wait for the shuttle when returning were all way too long. You stole 1.5 hours of our lives. We all reserved cars at specific times. You knew how many people were coming. You simply went cheap and didn't hire staff. Other car rental places had multiple shuttles while we stood there.

Cons: Stood in line for 1 hour before I even got to the desk. They had a “shortage” of the vehicle I wanted so I had to drive an extremely large vehicle. Vehicle was nice enough terrible time dropping it off. There are no signs and no one told me that the thrifty return is closed and we have to use Hertz.

We waited an hour and heard rumblings that they were out of cars. 4 hours later we were pulling out of AVR with a car, which had stayed open late and another employee that had already clocked out came to the airport and picked us up. Pros: I didn't rent a car from Dollar. Their line was more than two hours long. After that, there would have been an hour wait for a car to be cleaned to become available. I rented a car from National next door to Dollar. It took less than five minutes to get in a car and drive away.Cons: Dollar was understaffed and overbooked. They completely wasted my time.

Pros: Absolutely nothing. When we originally tried to book a car, we werent given the car we requested. My wife waited on the phone for 20 minutes before talking to a person who didnt offer a solution, a cancelation, or an upgrade, which we would have been happy to pay for. We decided to let it go and deal with it when we got to denver. Once there, we waited in line for 3 hours for our rental and was then refused a refund when i went to another car rental counter even though there is supposed to be a free cancelation. That's right. I waited in line for 3 hours and was refused a refund because i wouldn't wait longer! 150 people in line and 1 person working the counter. So, i paid for a car that i never received. This is easily the worst experience I've had with any company I've had in my life. No one should book with dollar through kayak. Ever. For any reason. Ever.Cons: Every aspect of this experience could have been better. Getting hit in the face daily with a hammer for an entire year would be better than having to interact in any capacity with dollar rent a car. This is the very first bad review I've ever written, but my experience was so very bad i hope it'll help someone else avoid the same horrible situation.

Pros: drop off was easyCons: It took nearly an hour to get the vehicle as they were very slow and did not have enough staff. There was no communication that they were co-located with Hertz to look for the Hertz bus. We were not told where the vehicle was. (it was pulled up, whch was nice, but we walked the cold, snowy lot as directed and then saw it when we came back to ask for better directions). It is terrible to take 1-1.5 hours to get on the bus and get a car after traveling for hours to get to the airport.

Cons: I was misled assuming car at Denver airport but it was downtown and both locations were about to close at noon. I couldn't pick up the car due to this, plus Hertz was sold out. I had to pay Hertz for nothing plus twice the rate to rent elsewhere last minute. I need a refund.

Pros: The car was nice but how it was upgraded and the charges made it not worth the price.Cons: When we signed up online to make the for the rental for 3 days at no more than $180. Well when we come in she is told that she must sign up for charges that were not needed. Extra insurance, road toll for $35 (when we told we were only going to be in Greenly everyday and didn’t need to leave the city for tolls, and told that basic tolls are $15//20.) as well as additional fees which brought up the price from that $180 to $700(including $200 deposit) . If we could have gone anywhere else we would have but we had no other options.

Pros: The car was fineCons: The Pick up experience took over an hour from the shuttle dropping me off at the rental facility, to being taken to the car. it appeared as if there was no plan to help the volume of customers arriving in the late Friday evening, even though this is ski season and they knew full well the number of renters who would arrive. In addition, the people at the check in counter aggressively upsold, convincing me that I should pre-pay for a full tank of gas when that was not the best thing for me. They also tried to up sell me on vehicles. I will not be using EZ car ever again

So happyPros: We rented this car because our flight was canceled and we couldn't wait for the airline's next flight out (it was Saturday, next flight was Tuesday) - the airline treated us like dirt, so by the time we resigned to driving home and went to get the car we were very crabby and impatient. I booked online first and couldn't reserve a time earlier than 5pm but we got to the rental shop at around 4pm. Was pleasantly surprised when the counter guy said we could take the car right away, and even more pleased when we were offered a free upgrade from compact to SUV! Counter guy was great and got us on the road quickly, car was clean and comfortable with no issues during the trip, and there were no surprises the next day when we returned the car and paid.Cons: No comments!

No mention that US license was prohibitedPros: the carCons: I live outside the USA. I occasionally go to the US and I need to rent a car. in the past I rented through kayak and europcar without a problem. however this time when I arrived I gave the representative my drivers license - which is a US drivers license - and they told me I could not rent the car. instead I would need to rent a new one for 3 times the price. they said an international rental could not be done in the USA with a USA license. However NOWHERE WAS I EVER INFORMED OF THIS. NOWHERE IS THIS RESTRICTION LISTED IN THE AGREEMENT THAT I SIGNED WITH EUROPCAR. I was forced to spend $150 on Uber for two days, and i went to AAA with Uber and for $20 i changed my license to an international license, and went all the way back to the airport to rent my same car - having wasted two days of the rental.
