The first person who assisted me was very nice and help me getting a better car for the snow so I upgraded to a 4x4 SUV my renthaving the car clean no with mud and dust and papers and stuff inside plus with wash fluid because at the middle of my trip from Denver to Vail I got the low wash fluid sign the first time I used it so obviously before getting to Vail I ran out of wash fluid in the middle of a snow storm which made the beginning of my trip very dangerous because of a lack of supervision from your company which delivered a car which has recently dropped at your facilities, very bad honestly.

The lady who assisted us in dropping off the car was very pleasant and I appreciated that, as it was very cold and early. The shuttle to the airport was prompt and helpful.I had reserved a car for around $200 online. When I arrived (after standing in a line for over 30 minutes) I was told that I had to have an AWD vehicle by state law. I "was lucky" and they had 1 AWD vehicle left in stock. It took my total to $755. If that is the case, why even have the other vehicles available to rent in the first place? I saw plenty of people driving non-AWD rental cars and they presumably didn't get fined. I was also urged to purchase a toll pass for $9.99/day because "I would definitely go through multiple tolls". I didn't go through one toll and had to pay $69.93 for nothing. It seems like a big scam and rip off. I hope that NO ONE is taken "advantage" of like I was again.

Farah, who welcomed me at the counter, was very personable and professional.The car was dirty inside and out. probably due to the previous day's snowstorm. In addition, the gas tank was not full although hard to tell from the gauge. It was only obvious when refilling.

Not much other than the car worked fine and was availableNot being snaked into a price that wasn’t real. Upon arrival I find out I “need” a 4 wheel drive. There goes an additional 100 bucks to my charge. The staff who helped me was cold and unwelcoming.

I liked that the car was a Toyota. I did not like that it took over an hour waiting on line to get the car. I did not like that I was talked into an upgrade yet the the car was sluggish and probably not a 6 cylinder as promised. I did not like that the charge was $70 above what the agent told me.

Over one hour in line for pickup (with only 6 people in front of me), then they didn’t have the type of car that I ordered. They had overbooked. Car had numerous scratches and damage. Wasn’t cleaned out entirely. They tried to charge me for a chip in the windshield that was pre-existing. Luckily, I’d taken a picture of it. Will not do business with again.

Pick up at the airport was terrible. Long wait At least 30 minutes and small bus. Car pick up at Fox facility was terrible long wait almost an hour. Staff could not of worked slower if they tried. There should be an express line for people who have already paid for their vehicle. The VIP station was closed. The return was much much better. A minivan immediately brought us back to the airport and we gave a tip to the driver.

Just extremely unprofessional. Their pickup from the airport was slow and their building is janky, so I had concerns early. I waited for an hour in line despite only having about 5-6 customers ahead of me. Then I was forced to show prove of collision insurance in order to not purchase Fox’s insurance, and I had to explain how why my personal policy didn’t need to explicitly say “rental car insurance”. None of this ended up mattering anyway, since just as I was clearing the insurance hurdle, the manager came up and told my agent not to allow more rentals that day. The communication of this change was so extremely unprofessional it’s difficult to describe here, let alone their policy of allowing overbooking. I had to rent a hotel near the airport that night and get to my final destination the next morning.

Contactless credit card processing would have been good. My company reserves my card and I only had a virtual card on my phone. I had to put the rental on my personal cc which is a pain for me in the end. Also the truck tailgate would not close and I had to drive around with the tailgate down most of the time very hard to get in touch with a human in customer service.

I liked the ease of picking up the car, the thoughtful shuttle to and from the airport, and the gas mileage of the car. Regarding being able to reach someone who worked at the local Enterprise rental, that was really difficult. I needed to ask about how they handled local toll billing and I was unable to talk to anyone even in our country. When I finally was directed, after two unsuccessful attempts, as to how to reach the specific location, I only got their answering machine. It would have been helpful to talk to someone from the specific branch in order to know how they charge for local tolls, as they are all electronic and I couldn't pay for them with cash. It took me an hour to finally find the information on my own on the Enterprise website. I had other questions, too, and the process was difficult.

I didn't like anything. I experienced total confusion and chaos while trying to pick up a car I reserved several weeks earlier. I was ripped off for liability coverages and waivers I didn't ask for, and was not offered. DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE AT DENVER INTERNATIONAL. I could write a short story about how bad my experience was. I've been trying to get help from Enterprise for days to resolve the bad experience, and keep getting the run around. "somebody will call", but nobody has. Rent a car from a different company.

This was my first rental with enterprise and we had the car for two months! Pick-up close to 2 hours but this was partially because the overall situation is bad! No matter where you go, businesses are short staffed! They were very friendly and helpful! Unfortunately the car was not very clean! It was already dark at pickup so we didn’t see it right away. Besides that, we were able to solve most issues and we received a discount! I would go back and give them a second chance, they deserve it! We drove 7900 miles and the car had no issues! Hope the industry goes back to pre-COVID pricing and car availability!

Efficient and friendly counter service. Car was a little dirty but not too bad. Pick up from the airport was fine. Drop off at the airport could have been a little closer to the entrance. Besides those small issues I will be using SIXT car rental again.

BE CAREFUL WITH SIXT. Their business model seems to be to provide good cars and then sting you for the slightest scratch. We were charged an additional $1,300 for a scratch on the front bumper that we had no knowledge of. The whole process was run after the drop off and we had no recourse. They have a contract and your credit card details and they can charge whatever they want. I’m absolutely certain that they did not repair this damage and I am not certain it was us that caused it.

The Avis lot is giant and completely packed with people. Lines everywhere. Took me about an hour to actually get the car, and that was after I was almost charged double the correct rate. It really shouldn’t take an hour to get a car, and I did the pre-check in to attempt to speed the process up too.

When I got to my vehicle a lady was sat in it have been allocated it. She let me have it. A member of staff could not help me find SiriusXm which had supposedly been activated, nor find a USB port. Went back to the agent who had served me, but he was busy so another agent assisted me. He kindly gave me a free upgrade. A while later I received the email with all the hire details on it. It wasn’t till a couple of days later I noticed it was made out for the original vehicle. Does this mean I was driving illegally ? I tried to ask this on return but there was no one in the Customer Service kiosk, and there was a long queue waiting to see an agent. As I didn’t have the time to wait, I left

Pickup location was dark and not easy to view the vehicle when I picked it up. Despite that, there were excessive scratches all over the vehicle, especially on the roof and bumpers. The interior was only slightly better. General experience for an Avis quality car was vey poor. This was the type of condition I would have expected from a lower tier rental company

The last 5 cars I've rented at Avis Denver, all within the last 6 months, have had some safety-related issue. All 5 vehicles had an issue with wiper blades, washer fluid, or tires. Seemingly small issues, but in winter driving conditions they're safety issues when, for example, you can't clear the front windshield in sub-freezing temperatures. Yes, of course, I can pull into a gas station to replace the wiper blades myself, fill up washer fluid, or inflate tires properly. But on every one of my last 5 rentals?

We arrived at 2am. I wasn’t happy that the person at the counter tried to upsell me the insurance coverage. Also, they gave me the wrong car assignment and we had to go back to the office and get that straightened out. We tried to drive out of the facility but there was no parking lot attendant to let us out. We waited half an hour and went back to the office to let them know. We didn’t get out of there until after 3am

The absolute worst car rental ever. I travel 3 weeks out of the month for work, so I’ve had countless rental cars. This one smelled like BO, car wash covered in scratches and dents, was missing a hubcap, the glass was all filthy from the inside and there was old mud built up everywhere else. It was so chaotic picking it up I just wanted to get out of there. No one knew what they were doing, total chaos. Definitely won’t use this company again.

It was terrible! They didn’t let me rent the car. They told me that my cc was not good, after calling our friends who are living in the USA, they also did not let them take their cc. I offered to pay a deposit of 1000$ and of course pay upfront, but they didn’t let me. Verry unfriendly and not helpful for looking for a solution.

The car and service were generally fine. The breaks felt a bit rough and I had to fill the tires during my rental because the pressure was low. My main complaint is that the estimated taxes and surcharges were WAY off reality. I ended up paying almost $1130 for a $585 estimate. Insane.

Budget Denver international airport tried to rip me off. Young lady with plastic nails, tattoos, and hair extensions told me I HAD to pay for the toll waiver. Um, no. And I clearly told them no extras, but they tried to sneak in an additional $30 per day for the Damage Loss Waiver. Again, um, no. Scam artists staffed by seedy people with dubious morals. Never again good lord.

It is hard to hear Budget representatives behind the plastic shields and with the other noise in the room. I kept having to ask the person to repeat his questions/statements and although I know he was getting annoyed with me I just couldn't hear him.

Budget did not have the car we reserved (small economy). They told us to wait outside in 40-degree 20-mph winds (Denver) for 15 minutes while a car was being prepared. Ended up being 45 minutes before before I finally complained that no one had brought us the car. After more waiting, they gave us a gas-guzzling SUV that we neither wanted nor needed. With the price of gas, we ended up paying an $30 to 40 more in gas than we would have otherwise. Two thumbs down.

The staff was very friendly during pickup. At drop off one of the shuttle drivers helped us get our vehicle checked (it was easy to tell that was not one of his normal tasks).The service was very slow due to the number of people working behind the counter compared to the number of customers in line.

Very quick for pick up and drop off. I called to let them know I arrived to airport and shuttle was there in minutes. Also quick shuttle return upon drop off as well.Employee during pick up was EXTREMELY nice, but as I pulled away I felt unsure of charges or what I initialed as she was so nice in explaining certain things, I lost concept of initial questions I was signing for as she was very efficient in moving me in and out.

Three main issues. First, they were way understaffed and we waited for probably 30 minutes with just two people working the counter, and one of those went on break halfway through our wait. There were repeated calls from one of the agents to get cars moved from the intake and processed. Second, they gave us a car with less than half a tank of gas in it. Third, the car had a severe rear brake issue, loud grinding noise every time you used the brakes. We only used Payless as it was the ONLY option but certainly not going to use them again if there is another rental option.

The Payless airport shuttle bus picked us up late at night and by the time we got to the rental building, the gates were shut and everyone had gone home. The driver was visibly upset and took us to Avis instead. After we told the agent of our situation with Payless, the agent at Avis told us, “Yeah, I don’t know what they ever do there.” The rental car from Avis was not a good experience either. The rental car had no air conditioning, and we didn’t realize until we were outside of the city limits so my wife and I drove nearly 1000 miles with the windows down. Furthermore, the passenger side seat would not move back, so my wife had to sit in a cramped position for 2 days. For all our troubles, we were refunded only $50. I will not use Payless/Avis again. Save your money and pay a little extra to go somewhere else.

The car was fineThe Pick up experience took over an hour from the shuttle dropping me off at the rental facility, to being taken to the car. it appeared as if there was no plan to help the volume of customers arriving in the late Friday evening, even though this is ski season and they knew full well the number of renters who would arrive. In addition, the people at the check in counter aggressively upsold, convincing me that I should pre-pay for a full tank of gas when that was not the best thing for me. They also tried to up sell me on vehicles. I will not be using EZ car ever again

I was upsold a 4wd bc the worker told me I would get turned around in Colorado for having 2wd, and was misinformed of the price too (there was no checkpoint, didn’t need it, paid more than what I was told) 2. The car pick up took way too long, apparently it was everyone’s first day so in training (literally, they told me) 3. I was OVERcharged and not given back a refund/credit 4. The shuttle driver wasn’t very friendly either 5. Needs a big change in management to salvage company reputation and operational efficiency

Did not get even close to same class of car we reserved. Windshield was cracked upon pickup. Nobody answered the phone in the office despite it being middle of day within business hours.

Cost after trying to fix an airline problem. Would not let me have a second driver pick car up because I was delayed. 2nd car shuttle did not show up at airport… I sat at airport for hours trying to fix the fact the rental company was actually closed !!!!

I had ordered a Nissan Rogue and was provided with a Jeep Wrangler. This car was huge and difficult to navigate in a residential area. The car shortage I understand but the customer experience at check in and especially check out was disappointing. The staff were more interested in socializing then helping customers. None of the system was digitalized it was done manually so check out took exceptionally long.

It was the perfect vehicle for the weekend in Colorado. The only thing that could have been better, is the tire pressure on one of the tires. I found myself having to add air to a tire throughout the weekend. Outside of that, it was A good bargain.

Had originally reserved a small SUV, and they upgraded me to a Jeep Wrangler free of charge. every fee and process was explained to me before and after the rental return. would highly recommend routes to anyone.

Because my flight arrived after the rental office had closed, I tried to call in the morning to arrange pick up. It was nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. When I did, they shared that my rented vehicle may not be available. Before spending a $100 Uber ride from downtown to the pick up location, I needed to know if there was a vehicle there for me. No one could confirm.

DO NOT RENT FROM ROUTES!! there is no main customer service phone number published - only locations and every one I called all went to voice mail for every option and the voice message instructs you to send an email. When I got a reply to my email there was two main numbers listed. They too both went to voice mail and instructs you to email. It is impossible to speak with a live person. They have a cancellation charge that is vaguely mentioned and buried in a huge list of terms and conditions. It’s not stated anywhere you’ll ever ever see.

Pick up shuttle (shared with Thrifty) convenient and quick. Exceptional driver. Check-in process quick, friendly and professional. First car we were offered was a nice upgrade, but after loading it up and driving to the exit booth, we were told to go back and get another car – ours apparently had several technical issues. Were given another car - not as nice - and set off again; noticed that the new one was dirty inside, but by then we had left the airport, so we just went with it. Return was smooth. Staff were uniformly friendly and professional –

I was led to believe that I needed to pay for something for tolls, $12.56 per day, or I'd have to pay a fortune every time I went through a toll. Since I refused to pay the extra $100+, I found myself terrified of finding myself on any toll roads! I was able to avoid them though, thank goodness, and most everything else was OK. The car inside could have been cleaner...

The customer agent was nice! The pick up part was poor! I drove to the gate to leave and was informed that the car wasn’t driveable. Had to return it and they gave me a damaged Camray with dents/scratches and a broken mirror.

We were charged for a faulty tire that became flat. I never thought to take pictures of the tires before accepting the rental, but clearly, with Thrifty, one needs to. The tire gave way at the seam. We are fortunate there wasn’t a blow out. When we returned the car, the staff blamed us for not taking pictures of the tire before we rented the car. Thrifty was the least expensive rental. Next time, I’ll pay more, with a different company to have better service and a car in good condition.

When arrived to Denver airport, I contacted Ace for shuttle information through the 866/877 phone number and I was unable to reach anyone. The phone line would continue to disconnect on me. Never spoke to a human and they do not have a direct number to the office. After finally finding a shuttle, there was no sense of urgency when waiting in line at the office. They were focused on upsells and inducing fear tactics to upswell guest. I purchased insurance online when booking the vehicle and told them I already had it. When checking out I noticed they added additional liability insurance without me knowing and told him to remove it. After that the employee turned off his smile and kept making snark comments that I’m going to be liable if I get into a wreck. I heard him tell one guest that their insurance won’t cover the car if they get in a wreck and will be responsible for rental fees for the time the car is getting repaired. Not true in most cases. Didn’t show me where the car was and just said the car was out there somewhere. I noticed most guest that didn’t purchase all their add one were treated rudely. A guest needed assistance in finding their car and he told her just push the button on the remote, ignored her and went to the next guest. I chose this place for the price but I will gladly pay more for better customer service. Will not recommend. Also take your own pictures of the car as they missed some big scratches on the car

Found out at the counter that their cars cannot be driven out of state (Colorado). Was left with my family at the beginning of a 10 day road trip with no car. No warning or notice during booking. Had to make a last second rental with another rental agency for $300 more. Poor poor poor.

Firstly to begin with they didn’t have a car that I booked and made me wait for more than an hour which was very unprofessional. Nextly, the car they provided me had a service due past and was scary to drive when you are in vacation. The cars pick up was bad, the tire pressure was low and with such car and service I definitely would not be renting with them again.

Waited for 30 minutes for the shuttle from the Denver Airport to the Ace Rental Center. Called for a pickup after 20+ minutes but could only get through to the Vegas location as Denver supposedly didn’t have a phone number (only an email?). When finally picked up it took another 20+ minutes to get to the rental center (in little traffic). Cant’t say I’ll use Ace again

The overall smooth experience was overshadowed by the poor attitude of the employee checking us out at the pickup. The employees attitude kept getting worse every time we declined additional add ons to our rental. The mini van we had for the week worked out but probably was on its last leg. A lot of photos were needed at the checkout by the attendant of the interior and exterior. The ride was “bouncy” like it needed new shocks/struts and occasionally the vehicle would “lurch” when accelerating. I guess you get what you pay for.

Excellent fun car/suv to driveThe Silvercar rental people were amazing. They explained all the features of the Audi I rented. They were super helpful when I had to switch the car for the Audi SUV due to more people arriving for Christmas. I would highly recommend using Silvercar to rent an Audi in Denver. Super fun car and SUV to drive!The only issue I had was navigating the web site, but I believe that was both an issue using a third party rental and my lack of knowledge. Once I got ahold of a Silvercar representative the issue was resolved quickly.

I hated every moment dealing with National. Upon arrival, the employees at the counter didn’t bother asking us for our reservation information they just turned us and the other clients away. Not only did they sell our reservation, which we had done with more than two months in advance, but they offered no type of solution or assistance to the problem THEY CREATED. Their cavalier responses were “try booking with another company” or “Uber to your destination”. No one in the counter really made an effort to deal with myself or the other clients who were also left screwed over by their poor management and decision making skills. Each and every single one of the employees just dumped the issue to the next until finally they pulled a lame excuse out of their asses as to why they wouldn’t even try to help us. They wanted to hold on to the fact that “it was late at night and they couldn’t do much.” I did take their advice and took my business elsewhere, and the lady at Avis went above and beyond to help me and my group of 17+ get a car to get to our destination. She did not care that it was past 3am and her shift had ended. She did everything she possibly could as a simple customer service associate to help me and my family. Something that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the National employees claimed they could not do because “it wasn’t in their power” I wouldn’t make a reservation with National or it’s affiliates even if my life depended on it. Definitely will tell every single person I know that National is by far the worst company to rent with and the customer service offered at the Denver International Airport location is so poor, that Satan himself would feel offended.

Our flight was delayed and when we got to National to pick up our vehicles (we had 2 different reservations), THEY HAD NONE! It was past 1am and the only thing we were told was "I'm sorry", "there is nothing we can do about it", "go to another rental car place and see if they have anything available". THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL; CUSTOMERS DEPEND ON THESE RESERVATIONS WHICH ARE DONE MONTHS IN ADVANCE, TRUSTING THAT NATIONAL WILL HONOR THEM. IT WAS A PARTY OF 17 PEOPLE AND WE WERE STRANDED, IN THE COLD, AT 1AM, WITH NOWHERE TO GO AND NO REAL HELP FROM YOU. WE WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH YOU AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO FRIENDS AND FAMILIES. DO BETTER!!!!!

Delays at pickupIt was impossible to hear the announcements they made in the shuttle from the airport, so there was some confusion about which stop to get off. The shuttle driver wasn't helpful at all. He totally ignored our questions. Luckily we got off at the right stop, but only to find that the facility was full of people waiting for cars. We were told the cars were coming in faster than they could turn them over, but I find this hard to believe since it was the start of a holiday weekend. We waited over an hour in line, and then we FINALLY got our car.

Might be better to rent somewhere elseThey charge quite a lot for insurance. Better to take up Kayak's $11 insurance instead of their minimum for $30. The lines at the airport for the shuttle were very long and then the front desk staff was not well trained. They were nice but did not know the features in their cars, they incorrectly gave me a car without a usb charger eventhough I offered to pay of an upgrade as long as the car had a usb charger. No one walked me to my car or gave me clear direction of how to find it and then no one walked me through the car features such as how to open the gas door.

we went to pick up our car. they did not have the type of car we rented available. the only one they had available that would fit the amount of people in our party was over 3 times what our original renal agreement was for. we were going to a funeral and waiting to pick up family members from the airports ( our flight got in earlier). the price of the car was more than the flight of 5 family members to get to our destination. oh and since we did not pick up the original car they did not even discount the car by what we originally paid so 10 day rental car was 4000 dollars it was a horrible rip off and experience.

Positives: The car worked. Return process was fast. Improvement: Shuttle pick up was slow upon arrival. Parking lot was dark and the expectation to mark dents and scratches required us to move the car to a lighted part of the parking lot. Car appeared dirty and beat up. The vehicle condition was mediocre.

Pick up in Denver was actually though Fox rental car. Long wait times to pick up car. Staff tried to get us to obtain ancillary services like daily toll passes, even tho it was entirely possible to avoid highways with tolls. Car was empty on gas when we picked it up. Multiple things small things broken in the car, like AC vents or charging port. No actual mechanical issues. I would begrudgingly use them again if they were the by far cheapest option.

I was charged for refuel prepay, which I did not approve and returned the car with a full tank of gas. I’ve requested that it be refunded to my card. So far, that hasn’t happened. Also, I requested a full size car, what was shown was a Toyota Camry, what I received was a KIA Optima. I’m tall and my head hit the roof liner, even with the seat all the way back and down! I will never rent from them again.

The car I got was great— exactly what I needed. Fuel efficient, in good working order, and clean. Pickup and drop-off were quick and easy. Terms were not exactly as advertised— I was supposed to be able to add a second driver at no charge when I bought supplemental coverage and when I got to the counter, I got told that wasn’t the case and there would be a daily charge even though I only wanted to add the second driver for one of six days. The windshield wiper blade was in rough shape and I hit stormy weather that made it a factor. I was told I’d be emailed confirmation after drop off that I never received. But it was overall positive.

I occasionally go to the US and I need to rent a car. in the past I rented through kayak and europcar without a problem. however this time when I arrived I gave the representative my drivers license - which is a US drivers license - and they told me I could not rent the car. instead I would need to rent a new one for 3 times the price. they said an international rental could not be done in the USA with a USA license. However NOWHERE WAS I EVER INFORMED OF THIS. NOWHERE IS THIS RESTRICTION LISTED IN THE AGREEMENT THAT I SIGNED WITH EUROPCAR. I was forced to spend $150 on Uber for two days, and i went to AAA with Uber and for $20 i changed my license to an international license, and went all the way back to the airport to rent my same car - having wasted two days of the rental.
