Pros:What I liked about the rental is that it was clean and the guy who brought us the rental was helpful and appreciated.Cons:From the time we walked into the door felt like we were treated like we just got out of prison or somethings. Girl at front desk had a mouth full of food..she had an attitude like why are you here and not another person to rent a car..even told her college while we were at the front desk “half way there” “almost there”. The attitude that was there was contagious. “Sign there!” Signed..”OUT...pause then..”double doors!” So so so glad we didn’t have to go back through Denver to drop rental back off!!!Reviewed 11 Oct 2019

Amazing customer service!!Pros:When I realized that the rental car location was out of the airport and I would need to be shuttled there to pick up the car I'll admit I was a bit disappointed. However, I walked out to the shuttle pickup to find my shuttle driver waiting patently. I then arrived at Alamo about 5 minutes later after a very smooth ride to find a line of about 10 other customers. I was expecting to be waiting there for at least an hour, but was in and out with my car keys within 15 minutes. Not only were the representatives speedy, but they were very friendly and kind at 12am on a snowy night. I wish I remembered the representatives name that helped me, he was kind and went above and beyond to give me the best rental car experience I've ever had.10/10 Will continue to rent from Alamo!Reviewed 5 Dec 2018

Pros:Quick, simple & easy! Alamo shuttled us from the airport to the pick up, gave us our choice of vehicles & we were done. Just as simple for drop off, pull in the parking lot, the attendant will check in the vehicle before you get out an you can head straight to the shuttle & back to the airport. We forgot to fill up the tank before we returned and expected highway robbery on gas rates from them but all of their pricing was very reasonable. Everyone from the shuttle drivers to the sales people and parking attendants were very nice and helpful. We will definitely rent with Alamo again.Reviewed 9 Feb 2018

Pros:Drop off was easy and quick.Cons:The check in process was the worst experience I have had at any rental. The line was 30ft out the front door and only one person was checking people in. They didn’t have enough rental cars and we were downgraded or else we would have to wait longer. Huge line to get checked in and another long line to pick up the car. Even to get out of the gate was another long line. The four people checking in for National and Alamo we’re overwhelmed. The crowd was extremely upset and some people left and went next door to enterprise. Was shocked the location had such great reviews. Downgraded car was so dirty we had to take it to the car wash the next day.Reviewed 29 Jun 2020

Wonderful experiencePros:My service rep was Jessica. She greeted me with a smile and with an enthusiasm to provide the best service. She inquired about my trip and what kind of activities I planned and highly recommended I upgrade to a vehicle with a larger engine. I typically shy away from up sales, but after agreeing with her recommendation she also gave me a courtesy upgrade to a midsize SUV!!! I never thought I would need all that during my trip to Denver, but sure enough the snow came and the SUV was a blessing. Jessica was wonderful and her local knowledge saved me a lot of possible headache.Reviewed 21 Jan 2016

Gutless HyundaiPros:Nothing wrong with the people, service or rental location.Cons:Rented a midsize car. I was offered any car in the second row of the parking lot, which consisted of 7 or 8 small Hyundai’s—okay, lets take the blue Hyundai. As I drove around, picking up and dropping off people from my daughter’s volleyball team, I couldn’t help but notice how every time I needed to accellerate I instead got a loud whining noise as the engine rev’d to over 4000rpm with very little impact. I don’t know for sure if the Toyota Corolla offered when I booked the car would have been better, but it certainly couldn’t have been worse.Reviewed 20 Mar 2018

Pros:The return process was easy enough, compared to everything else we endured.Cons:Well, I've never had such an awful experience with a company before. Renting a car in Denver for 6 days to ski, we became aware of a massive storm that would trap us in the mountains, and a death in the family. I called Alamo to inquire about adding another driver to the car (the only way to get the other party to the funeral on-time, and let us avoid the storm). Alamo's number in Denver directed to a national hotline in Tennessee. The gentleman was completely unhelpful and insisted we physically be present at an Alamo location to add an additional driver (again, impossible, given the circumstances). He assured us that the Denver location would call us back (they never did). We even tried calling through the general airport hotline to be directed to the individual location, again, nope! Alamo basically gave us zero options and left us high and dry. Talk about first and last time ever using this company!Reviewed 15 Mar 2021

Just a Minor ComplaintPros:We liked the frontier nissan and how much room it had and the way it drove. I liked that it had usb ports and a navigation system. I liked the quick check in and check out process.Cons:I have rented a car while traveling 4 times this past two years and 3 out of 4 times I have had issues each time, either with the company or with the actual car. This time we got a flat tire on a mountain road and had just arrived where we were staying so we were safe. I called the emergency roadside assistance and it was going to be a charge for them to come and change the tire so we chose to change it ourselves and drive to the nearest Alamo location. The customer service rep said our closest option was 85 miles away and was actually an Enterprise location but that Alamo and Enterprise had an agreement and that I could take it there as soon as they opened. They called Enterprise to make sure they had a car available for us to swap. When I arrived at Enterprise they said they had not received a call and they aren't sure why someone told me that they could do that because they would not be able to help me with trading our vehicle. We had to drive another 2 hours on a spare tire. Other than that, everything else was a quick pick up and drop off. I gave them 4 stars because it seems other companies I have rented from have been a worse experience so this was one of the best besides the flat tire.Reviewed 2 Dec 2018

Great experience with one major exception.Pros:Our experience with Alamo was a good one. The associate at the counter was friendly and helpful, and the person who helped us with our car was very knowledgable.Cons:Our only complaint about our experience was that the car we were given ended up having uneven air pressure and very low tread on two of the four tires. While on our trip, we got a low tire pressure warning. None of the tires were flat, we just had one that had lost some pressure. Since we didn't have a pressure gauge, we took the car to a tire shop and had them check the pressures. Three of the four tires were not at an acceptable pressure - two were low and one was high. More alarmingly, the front two tires were dangerously low on tread and needed to be replaced.Reviewed 15 Aug 2018

Pros:The front desk gentleman was great and very helpfulCons:The vehicle was dirty inside and out, windshield has smudges all over the inside glass, car had not been vacuumed well, the outside was dirty as well. My first time using your service outta DIA and was kinda disappointed compared to my usual rental. Also the car was not in the best shape considering I paid for a premium vehicle, a Cadillac what was dirty, had a few dents and scratches, around the car the wheels were curb rashes pretty good. I get they are rental vehicles trust me I do, I used a rental often but when you pay for a upgrade you kind of expect and nice well kept vehicle for your money. The car also had a slight odor to it when we got, not sure exactly what it was but it went away about a day or two later so it wasn’t too bad. This review is not meant in a bashful way, it’s constructive feedback. Your customer service was wonderful as I said and customer service goes a lot farther in my book so for that I appreciate the service but the cars could use a litter more attention. Thank youReviewed 31 Mar 2021

Won't make this mistake again.Pros:Not much that was good. Car ran well, with excellent mpg.Cons:The check-in agent was VERY pushy and rushed through the paperwork. He charged me for satilite radio that wasn't available in my car. So, besides being rude, he was basically stealing from me. The woman at the drive through check out caught the mistake, thank goodness, and refunded my money. But the fact that it happened in the first place is deplorable. I guess you get what you pay for, and I'll take my money elsewhere. The car also smelled like smoke.Reviewed 23 Feb 2016

Pros:They were very prompt and professional. There was no wait and they were very sweet to my children who were full of energy right off of a 2 hour flight.Reviewed 21 Jul 2019
