Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "Much better"
Pros: "Friendly staff and smooth boarding process."
Cons: "British Airways charge you for water. However the flight attendant did her best and brought me a glass of water. It is the first time that water is not courtesy form an airline."
Pros: "Crew were good early on but didn’t check later on"
Cons: "It was ridiculously hot and the crew didn’t offer water after initial drinks run and we were seriously dehydrated. The flight was delayed and although the first half an hour we had excellent service there was no follow up service and the temperature in the plane was really very uncomfortable"
Cons: "Pre boarding at the gate was slightly chaotic"
Cons: "On time."
Cons: "Stop losing my luggage and stop charging for food."
Cons: "The seats are not just uncomfortable, they are awful. Worse than Wizzair!"
Cons: "A plane made any year after 1990... Last minute flight switch caused great discomfort and VERY narrow seats"
Pros: "Flight good, crew helpful and no problem with boarding."
Cons: "No hot food and no announcement in the Airport. Limited choice of other food."
Pros: "A quiet flight. Low season and with a BA flight to the same destination10 minutes before our one departed, this resulted in a near empty plane. Perfect."
Cons: "I have to say, the coffee on offer is disgusting. I would certainly look in to changing that."
Pros: "Crew were good."
Cons: "Air traffic controllers at Gatwick were pathetic. Had to wait an hour on the runway in Innsbruck because staff was too low."
Pros: "The staff were great, the flight was on time, the boarding was easy."
Cons: "The food. Both my sons are vegan and there weren't any vegan options apart from crisps and nuts. Vegans are taking over the World so you need to be able to give them something to eat!"
Pros: "Friendly, helpful and professional crew."
Pros: "It was easy to get on and off. The crew were well drilled in the art of moving people on"
Cons: "BA like others charge a premium for using them over easyJet and the like. I take offence to paying £350 for a ticket and hen having to buy a sandwich. If you want to be like low cost airlines, then have the same pricing structure. BA = Rip off."
Pros: "On time service, quick to board ."
Cons: "I’m surprised by now that British airways don’t provide any food for children onboard. A cheese and mushroom toastier is not exactly child friendly"
Pros: "The safety video."
Cons: "Cleanless, dont charge people to change seats when the flight is not super busy...."
Pros: "The crew was great!"
Pros: "Great communication from all aspects of crew etc during our delay. Fantastic flight crew who are very sweet and caring. I also enjoyed that we had meals on the flight and didn’t have to pay. That is such a simple but wonderful things."
Cons: "Delayed due to storms etc. Never ideal."
Pros: "Direct flight. That’s it."
Cons: "Boarding - via a bus at LHR T3. Comfort - Cramped “ Club Europe” seat with minimal legroom - same as in economy. Food - disgraceful “tapas” dish of literally one scrap of ham, an equally small piece of cheese and half a scotch egg. Crew - disinterested to the point of surliness. Entertainment - none, this being BA short haul (others can manage it but not BA)"
Pros: "Safe flight"
Cons: "Just wanted a glass of coca cola."
Cons: "My mother needed assistance with the disable wheelchair and was given one but the staff that was meant to wheel her into the flight abandoned her and she almost missed her flight."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Being delayed for 2.5 hours wasn’t pleasant. Once we finally boarded the crew members did apologise in person to all first class customers. I was sitting with my granddaughter right behind it. We felt like a second category customers.... nothing to add to it it shows it all"
Pros: "Friendly crew, flight on time, great food and snacks, good movie selection"
Cons: "Seats not too confortable, landed on time but got to the gate 45 mins after landing"
Pros: "When we finally took off."
Cons: "Flight was delayed >3.5 hours because of an "electrical problem affecting in-flight entertainment system and 1st and Business Class seats. After powering down the aircraft c. 3 times at 11:15pm CT the electrical system miraculously worked as normal."
Cons: "4 hours delayed.. Uncomfortable seats .. unclear screens"
Pros: "Direct flight London to Denver. Check in and boarding very easy, friendly and efficient."
Cons: "Seats very close together, entertainment poor (and not working for first hour of flight)"
Pros: "Flight was uneventful (the way it should be) although it was over an hour late leaving LHR. The cabin was clean and in generally in good condition. Leg room was okay for a short flight. Didn't try the onboard cuisine but it looked good in the pictures, although somewhat expensive!"
Cons: "The bag drop at LHR T5 was bad. I was in line for almost 25 mins waiting to use the self-serve system. Almost every one of the 10 or so people in front of me had problems with the system and had to call over a staff member to help. It would have been so much quicker to have the 'old style' way of having check-in staff receiving bags!"
Pros: "I liked that we landed 30 minutes in advance for both flights to and back, compared to the other parallel flight via SAA which was delayed 2 hours when we arrived back."
Cons: "I didn't like the cheese roll I asked for as the whole roll and cheese was literally stuck to the bottom and parts of the bottom of the roll were mushy. The staff were professional but lacked personality and seemed a little hollow."
Cons: "Not only do you now have to buy food and drink, by the back of the plane they’ve always run out (our flight was not even particularly full). Flight was delayed an hour - I’ve taken 4 BA flights in the last 5 days and every one has been delayed by at least one hour. No longer worth the price."
Pros: "Plenty food. Very well looked after by the crew. Lots of good movies."
Cons: "Some of the screens had a scratches on them."
Pros: "Wonderful flight attendants. Flight was on time."
Cons: "2 cups of hot tea-norhing else- cost 4 pounds!"
Pros: "Much quieter than Heathrow so a more relaxed environment to travel. Flight left slightly late but made up time and landed ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Having to pay for a cup of tea. No issue with BA charging for alcolhol in a 1 hour flight but still think drinks like tea/coffee should be provided free."
Pros: "Loads of leg room. Comfy."
Cons: "No food, no hold luggage allowance. Online checkin process is clunky and buggy."
Pros: "Crew were helpful, polite"
Cons: "Flight was late boarding and departing Not particularly comfortable seats No free drink"
Pros: "The Business Class accommodations and staff were excellent. The boarding process was on-time and painless and made a very long trip enjoyable. Despite my poor experience checking luggage, see the dislike comments, there were two employees who did go out of their way at the end of my poor check-in experience to help me. I did not get their names, but their good service was greatly appreciated. The plane crews were also awesome!"
Cons: "1.Outdated website information: I have a small travel guitar that fits in the overhead bins and I always take it with me when I travel, with no issues. It counts as my overhead carry-on. I checked the British Airways website prior to leaving the U.S. and it said small instruments were okay. I was able to board from San Jose, USA, with no issues. However, I was told at Heathrow that no stringed instruments were allowed at all, under no circumstances, ever, no matter the size, even Business Class, even First Class, even if other airports were not enforcing the rules. The rules that ARE NOT LISTED ON YOUR WEBSITE 2. Poor customer service: Due to the above, at Heathrow airport, I had mixed signals everywhere and had to check-in THREE times, twice to oversize, I was sent back and forth all over the place, finally having to go all the way through the airport to pay to have my item boxed. Most of the folks along the way were extremely unpleasant and rude and acted as if it was the craziest thing in the world that I would have a carry-on travel guitar. TRAVEL guitar, small, not full size, not needing any special treatment. Most of the agents, who knew I was struggling with this, did not help me, for example, I had to wait in line all over again, twice! There was one woman that tried to help me and put me to the front of the line on one occasion and the last agent was helpful as well. I did not get any names, which I should have, because at the end, I FINALLY had those two staff members who helped me (see liked comments). I still had to check my box, but the final agent really went out of her way to make me feel better about the experience because she could see that I was given the runaround. But the folks at Oversize and the pre-Security line, were absolutely horrible and rude. No excuse for it at all. None."
Pros: "Courteous and friendly staff"
Cons: "Outdated ife and unpleasant buzzing noise from the headphones"
Pros: "British airways allows a roller carryon and a personal carryon, even for this cheap flight."
Cons: "No ba lounge, only the overcrowded Turkish Lounge."
Pros: "All good"
Cons: "Everything well. No issues"
Pros: "Great service, easy travel from Heathrow Terminal 5."
Cons: "Shame the complimentary drinks have gone, sign of the economic times."
Pros: "I arrived safely and on time"
Cons: "Audio plug for my seat was broken, but I slept so it worked out Kay."
Cons: "The worst flight I have ever had. Will never be flying with British Airways again."
Pros: "Everything was fine! The plane is super big so you don’t feel nothing !"
Cons: "Everything was perfect, nothing bad to say ! Just a few problems with the entretement TVs but whatever ! Hahahaha the personal it’s good !"
Pros: "BA flight to JFK was delayed by 3 hours and it was not made up for either. We got to JFk at 3:40 as opposed to landing at 12:40pm. It was very inconvenient. Service was slow and patchy."
Pros: "speediness of boarding"
Cons: "too slow service, it took almost to landing to get offered drinks and sale, crew weren't very efficient."
Cons: "My suitcase didn't arrive at the airport in Bologna with my flight. I am still waiting for it and inside I have all I need."
Pros: "Simple no drama very professional, Good service, Food to suit almost every flavour and preference . Entertainiment is a 3 star cause There’s nothing there to be offered apart from newspaper and A magazine."
Cons: "Child sitting behind me kept dropping the table and pushing it back up"
Pros: "Great staff, ultra professional"
Cons: "Small food portions!"
