Pleasant crew
Pros: "Skycouch in Economy was wonderful. Although small, it was sufficient in order to get comfortable and get several hours of sleep on a long flight. Entertainment system was outstanding, with excellent selections of movies, TV, TED talks & music. Plus, ordered water, beverages and snacks at any time via the screen and it was delivered to my seat. We had a seat change request at the gate which was resolved by the gate agent who was amazing."
Cons: "Check in and bag drop area needed personnel to assist and answer questions. It was not clear what to do and we stood in along line that we could have avoided if there had been a customer service rep to guide us."
Pros: "The crew is consistently wonderful!"
Cons: "I was turned away at the gate and was unable to board the plane. It was an awful experience!"

Cons: "The seating in economy class is abysmal. The seats are extremely small and the rows are to close together. There is no leg room. The seat cushioning is almost nonexistent. It's like sitting and leaning back on a board. On this last trip I had a window seat. I'm 5'4" and 115 lbs."

Cons: "The seat is comfortable but doesnt recline enough, I dont like the fact that you need to flip the seat to get it flat, when is it flat its rock hard! Good on AirNZ for providing the foam mattress topper it helps. ButOnce its flat you cant really watch TV."
Cons: "Auckland to Chicago was fine. Chicago to Minnesota was horrible. The departure plane showed up late due to weather which is understandable. Once the plane showed up we waited for over 4 hours for a pilots to show up. Our flight could have bee managed much better, poor job by United!"

Cons: "Boarding and take off was delayed by about one hour, with no proactive communication from crew about the delay. Passengers waiting to board individually questioned why we had not started boarding yet when information screens in the airport displayed otherwise. We did not start boarding for a 12 hour international flight until ten minutes to scheduled take off. The first time we were informed about the delay as a group was after we had entered the aircraft."
Pros: "this is Second times to use Air NZ to go to LA. before flight, they found technical problem, but ok .. nothing happen . Ground saffs helped us before on board . hope to use again ."

Pros: "Have flown most carriers to Australia and NZ. Air NZ by far the best. I mean, I am flying cattle class, so its never going to be great. However, compared to the other carriers available, the seats are the most comfortable and have more legroom. If you can afford their sky couch, do so. Food is edible (and, to me, most airlines are not) and was nice to get WiFI all the way across for just a few air points."

Cons: "The flight was delayed by 50 mins. Missed my connecting flight from Auckland, so had to spend 3 hours at the airport. A voucher for internet access would’ve been nice."

Cons: "I was not given a chance to make a seat assignment on the Alaska legs between Seattle and LA and ended up being stuck in a middle seat going both ways. There,was no option during booking to make a,seat selection. This was also true for the LA to Auckland outbound leg. This is an area needing improvenent."
Cons: "If the customer is given the option of special meal - 1. the special meal should be what one selects. I selected Hindu meal as per option and was being served Veg Jain Meal. 2. Should be made available. Though I booked the flight for both me and my wife and the special meal request was for both, the wrong Veg meal was made available only to my wife. Something is not right with their system. One you serve what you make us select and then the system is recording only for one passenger."

Cons: "The check in, the baggage drop off and pickup were very confusing and it made it a little stressful having to change flights. Boarding passes are also difficult to obtain through other airlines."

Cons: "Issue with baggage, i.e. no indication of what was included in the ticket and no way to pre-pay for luggage (at what I already considered an exorbitant rate of 60$ per piece) so ended up having to pay120$ each for 2 checked bags at the airport!"
Cons: "The middle seats need to go back to 3 not 4. It would have made it a much more comfortable flight(since it was a non stop from Heathrow to LA)."

Pros: "I was recovering from a cold and didn't anticipate having ear problems but during decent I began to experience some pain. It was all new to me as I had never been through this before. Fortunately the crew was kind and they provided a sinus decongestant in a cup for me to sniff and breath in so the smell could open up my nasal passages and it helped a bit."

Cons: "Only issue was demand of passenger behind me that I not recline my seat back. I complied and chose not to bring it to crew's attention but was unable to travel comfortably for last leg of our 20+ hour trip."
