I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay"."

Pros: "My flight from Chicago to Doha was late to come in and there was a gate agent waiting for us and two other passengers with a sign when we got off the plane. He told us that our flight had already left but he would get us on the next one. We ended up getting seats on the next flight but then were also given the option to get a temporary visa and explore Doha for the night. We opted for the comped night which included a very nice hotel and $100 in meal vouchers. We absolutely LOVED Doha and the hotel and food was fantastic! I don't think I have ever received better service from an airline or a hotel. We ended up walking around Souq Waquif and the downtown until 1am (we are two young females!) with no issue and just used Uber to get to and from the hotel. Everything was so well laid out for us! No complaints whatsoever!"

Unlike other airlines Emirates flight crew treats you very well, they are polite, the food is good and the seating is very comfortable. It makes a 16 hour flight pleasureable. Thank you Emirates!!!"

Cons: "Huge drop in the quality of the staff compare to the previous flight 4 hours earlier. A lot of staff and maybe 2 of them seemed to be concerned by their job. Most of them spent most of the time eating, drinking and talking between them. They probably spent a better flight than us. For a 7 hours flight they offered us just once to have a drink. Their office was completely messy. Nobody really care about their job. They all seemed to be in training period."

Pros: "The coffee was good for breakfast. After an overnight sleep, one wants coffee a.s.a.p. The scrambled egg breakfast was good and tasty. The croissant was fresh. The Batata bhaji was quite good. I appreciate the pre-meal wash cloths. Again, I like the good choice of movies/TV programs, as mentioned in my previous flight. The vegetarian pizza was very good. The flight attendants were very pleasant and helpful."
Cons: "I would like to be offered a second cup of coffee for breakfast, as the cups are small (not complaining about the size of the cups, as they are standard on planes). I asked for tea after lunch which when I tasted, it was only warm, not drinkable. I told the flight attendant and asked for a new cup of tea. I didn't get it until later, I asked again. This time I got it, but it was weak and not a good cup of tea. It was like a tea bag had been dipped once into hot water. Pre-lunch drinks were not served until after lunch."

Cons: "Four travelers were seated in 4 different areas on flight from Hong Kong to San Francisco flight. Three of us of us were senior citizens. Two had disabilities and were.not accommodated in any way by Cathay Pacific (CP) while loading in the four areas of the plane. Those of us that we're physically able could not help those with mobility issues because of the proximity of the seating, I could not pre-check or request different seats on the CP website. I think that this was because of issues with the website, apparently due to IT system communication between American Airlines and Cathay Pacific.......on all six flights. On the transfer in San Francisco, Customs was closed when we arrived in San Francisco and we had to haul all of our baggage from one terminal to the other. There was no direction on how to handle this issue of Customs being closed while on the flight to San Francisco. I had to explain the issue of to the CP customer service crew in SF. The CP desk and they had never heard of it. American Airlines was equally poorly trained. I will also say that while at the CP customer service, there were three young adult males that we're not busy at the time and the watched us unload the baggage carts onto the scales and conveyor and then reloaded on to the carts to push to the AA terminal. We handled the bags two additional times because the CP staff did not know what to do and how to handle it. Other passengers were confused as well. I traveled internationally to Asia three times now on CP and the first two were excellent. In the past had had flown other carriers on out trips to asia. This experience on this flight was beyond bad. I had plan on several more trips to Asia the next three years, and I will say that at this point, I will not fly CP again. Something needs to change. A call to me is in order. I witnessed several gaps in CP systems and other issues with training the staff. Your survey did not specify the flight crew. Except for the loading issues and the lack of information about Customs being.closed at SF, the service was world class...what I had come to expect from CP"

Pros: "Our plane was an A350 equipped with a new entertainment center. The captain was able to get our flight in early. Unfortunately, because of weather/immigration problems at the destination, we weren't able to disembark for another 90 minutes. But I think the cabin crew handled this well, handing out both drinks and snacks. The captain also kept us informed, and also seemed to play a role in negotiating with the airport authorities to allow us to disembark at another gate. Otherwise it may have been a longer ordeal."
