Pros: "The crew was polite, efficient and prompt"
Cons: "The food quality needs improvement!"
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "More food would have been better"
Pros: "Movies, texting other seats, requesting food and water from my screen"
Pros: "Air NZ sent my mom away when she arrived to board the plane because she could not hear well. This resulted in a 68 year old women spending the night at Heathrow. No apologies, no upgrades, nothing. Air New Zealand is a heartless discount airline. Terrible experience. Avoid."
Cons: "Air NZ sent my mom away when she arrived to board the plane because she could not hear well. This resulted in a 68 year old women spending the night at Heathrow. No apologies, no upgrades, nothing. Air New Zealand is a heartless discount airline. Terrible experience. Avoid."
Pros: "Strong crew service is the highlight of flying Air New Zealand. Plane comfort is good, with nice ambient lighting, decent seats and reasonably spacious toilets. At least for now, they have in-seat entertainment screens with lots of current offerings. Our flight had free wi-fi, a real plus."
Cons: "Boarding with Air New Zealand at Heathrow was complex and poorly organised when compared to the smooth and efficient process at LAX. This has been the case each time I have flown this same route with this airline."
Cons: "They have to provide better food."
Pros: "Great crew, great food, spacious and nice. Great experience overall."
Pros: "The plane, seat, food, amenities, staff, etc were all world class"
Cons: "LAX immigration is a nightmare but not NZ fault."
Pros: "yes amazing crew! thank you so much!"
Cons: "perfect already!"
Pros: "I liked that there was food available and that they offered complimentary snacks and drinks. Some of the crew members were nice and offered good service. I liked that they offered some type of entertainment and free wifi."
Cons: "I didn't like that some of the crew members were not very nice. I also disliked that some of the crew members drove the food/beverage cart violently through the isles and saw as one of the crew members rammed into another person's leg, to only say "oh sorry" and kept on going. This same crew member missed picking up the trash from an entire row and was throwing trash on the floor. She was more interested in caring for a baby on board (not sure if it was her daughter or family member) than the rest of the passengers. I also didn't like the seats were so close to each other, the person in front of me almost hit my face when he reclined his seat all the way back. There wasn't much room to breath let alone stretch."
Pros: "Please read notes above -"
Pros: "Excellent movies available. Decent food, regular water service, and pleasant staff. Will definitely look to fly Air New Zealand again."
Cons: "Not enough legroom. But I'm 6'2, so it's the same on all airlines."
Pros: "Food was great"
Cons: "No complaints"
Cons: "N/a"
Pros: "Was a little more leg room... makes all the difference"
Cons: "Was pretfy much Ok"
Pros: "777 with really comfortable economy class seating, excellent selection of on-board entertainment, convenient A/C power at each seat and very friendly cabin crew made the trip a pleasure."
Cons: "No in-flight wi-fi at any price. I took it for granted they'd have it, probably should have checked first and downloaded what I needed ahead of time."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and the informati N at the gate kept changing. Regular announcements that we would board in 10 Minutes. And hen we didn’t and then another announcement of 10 minutes etc Process was confusing. Four different lines with signage that was too low to be seen by anyone except those who were up front. Employees were flustered and having arguments on phone in presence of those boarding. Led to more chaos and uneasiness"
Pros: "Veer smooth ride. Very nice crew. Great service"
Pros: "The service is great as well as the food!"
Cons: "We had to take a connecting flight from Paris and British Airlines were very inconsistent with their hand carry policy which gave me so much stress."
Pros: "Paid extra $100 for 2”premium “seats. What a joke. And no entertainment for an 11hour flight!!"
Cons: "Food was ok for airplane food"
Cons: "The middle seats need to go back to 3 not 4. It would have made it a much more comfortable flight(since it was a non stop from Heathrow to LA)."
Pros: "The staff were very kind. The amendies (pillow, blanket and headphones) were great. The airplane food and wine selection were nice."
Pros: "Customer service and Food was excellent!"
Pros: "On-time flights."
Cons: "Delayed by 45 minutes"
Pros: "Cabin attendants kind, friendly"
Pros: "How caring and involved the flight crew made everyone comfortable during the long haul."
Cons: "Hard to find anything that was wrong with my flight"
Pros: "Crew, ground and flight crew, were all so friendly and accommodating. Great access to free snacks/drinks, but the best was the seats with the footrests that lift all the way up to form a couch, even for those of us who aren't able to fly business class, but are frequent flyers."
Cons: "The video system wasn't as good as say, Virgin or B.A., but it's such a small issue, compared to the superior comfort of coach in Air New Zealand to the other steerage-like coach classes."
Cons: "Temperature on the plane kept shifting from freezing cold to too hot."
Pros: "Enjoyed gluten free meal enjoyed inflight entertainment"
Cons: "a little squashed in seating"
Pros: "Crew was excellent; good and friendly service. On time."
Cons: "15 minute walk from terminal to gate without any pre-warning. Food was mediocre."
Pros: "Free booze."
Cons: "Not worth the extra money for preferred seats. Food was terrible. I figured I could just buy a sandwich or something but they didnt have anything except for pretzels. Even the options they had available on the menu the crew said they didn't have any of it on board. Then the in flight entertainment wasn't working for some people so they had to reboot the system which took about half an hour and I lost my place in the movie I was watchIMG. I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."
Pros: "Service and attitude superb"
Cons: "comfort and seats. On the flight back, although crowded, it would have been nice to have the assistance that 3 large guys could have used to find a seat. Spent the entire flight sweating between two large gentlemen. Luckily, they were polite and we all managed."
Pros: "Crew"
Cons: "No wifi. Limited entertainment. Seats not comfortable. Food was basic."
Pros: "Everything was perfect"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "Seats are too narrow"
Pros: "Food was good"
Cons: "Customer service and ability to sort out technical issues were truly appalling. My touch screen monitor crashed and the controls that would enable me to alert crew members for any concerns also didn't work. Both issues happened twice. The second time, I informed them that if these technical issues continued to fail and couldn't be resolved, I needed to be placed in another seat, of which I specifically told them was not to be a seat far behind my current row seat. Instead, they went and offered me a seat that was 22 rows behind, especially after I had paid extra fees to sit in the seat I was given higher up the aisle. I also informed them that I wasn't feeling well and the closer I was to the exit when we landed, the better. They ignored these concerns. That is unacceptable considering that it was their system that was faulty in the first place that led to these problems. Their staff also failed to regularly walk the aisles to ensure customers were okay with the service. I've been on planes whereby the crew is constantly walking around to ensure everyone is being taken care of. For example, I had a great experience with Korean Air where I saw staff every 10-15mins checking on customers. Air New Zealand completely failed in this regard. When my system crashed the second time, because I couldn't call anyone in the crew using the controls on my touch screen, and the person sat next to me was asleep (didn't want to wake him up to use his device to call!), I waited 25-30mins before going up to the crew station to seek help. I had to wait an additional 10-15mins before I even saw someone at the crew station. There are some other issues I encountered but the above were the main ones. This is the first time I've actually had to criticize an airline for it's customer service. I've been travelling for over 25 years and never encountered what I did today. I certainly won't be flying with them again."
Pros: "Boarding from last row first"
Cons: "Food was just okay."
Pros: "The seats in premium economy are spacious and provide good personal space. The service and food were excellent. Felt more like business class."
Cons: "While the seats are big, they don't quite recline enough to be as comfortable as they could be for sleeping. Strange choice of movies."
Pros: "Handsome, kind and efficient crew. Good amount of space in and around my seat. I was not cramped, although I was in the economy section. The plane interior was indeed nice. Power outlets (both USB and 110V DC) in my seat (I assume then, every seat had that). I fly few times a year between the West Coast and Europe and my overall flight experience on this flight I think was the best one I've seen in years. Food, quality and selection was good. Nice wines in economy. Sufficient number of clean, sufficiently roomy and well stocked toilets. The fare rate I was able to get was outstanding and contributed to the overall satisfaction. Even my neighbor, in the seat next to me was very polite, quiet and pleasure to travel with (though here New Zealand Air perhaps had less of an influence)."
Pros: "The food and service was great"
Pros: "I liked the video console. Loved the wine. Everything was great."
Cons: "Wish all seats in economy could have a footrest. Sleeping on a long flight is very uncomfortable without one."
Pros: "Comfort, cleanless, crew availaibility."
Pros: "Great flight and most notable was kindness and attentiveness of flight attendabts."
Cons: "Everything was well done."
Pros: "Crew was helpful and professional."
Cons: "Seats are unbelievably cramped. Not enough legroom or cargo room under the seats. It seems they put more seats in than the aircraft was meant to have. Made experience of 10 hour flight much more difficult."
Pros: "In general very good. Everyone was nice and polite.h"
Cons: "The plane temperature was a little too cold."
Pros: "I really like Air Newzealand!"
Pros: "Liked just about everything. Paid extra for upgraded Economy seats but it was worth it. Seats 35 A & B. Flight both ways very smooth and flight crew very accommodating. Have already recommended New Zealand Air to all my friends."
