Cons: "Not enough good new release movie selection was very average/ poor. Your boarding from LAX could be improved. You have two signs about Premium and economy lines for boarding! These are not obvious . There needs to be a staff member or two checking people as they arrive in a line to check they're in the correct t line . Otherwise people don't trailer until they have been in the wrong line until the reach the top of the line . Leads to frustration even before the flight begins! Otherwise great job everyone ! Thank You !"
Cons: "Missed the flight because of a very late connection. Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia kept handing me off to each other since it was booked as virgin Australia but on an air New Zealand flight. Neither wanted to help at first. Finally virgin Australia ticket agent took pity and helped me rebook for the next day. This was after I was told by air New Zealand that I had to call the booking number for virgin Australia. I’m traveling from the US and didn’t have a cell phone that worked in Australia... which I explained and asked how I could call the number without a phone. Was promptly told to go over to Virgin Australia ticket counter where I made the one remaining agent who was closing the desks help me. However the airport lost my luggage and could not find where it was. I ended up spending three hours in the airport and still no luggage with the baggage company saying they have no record of it anywhere. Very frustrating trip."
Pros: "Can't say enough about how good the experience was. It felt like business class, except the seat doesn't transform into a flat bad. Service, meals, amenities, washrooms, etc. were amazing. Also, the flight times AKL-YVR and YVR-AKL are so civilized! You leave each city around dinner time, you dine, you watch a movie, sleep as much as you want, have breakfast, and then it's time to land! Way better than other options that leave at odd times."

Flight attendants would walk the aisles every two hours and offer water to everyone. I had never flown Air New Zealand before, but now it's one of my top airlines."

Cons: "Space is a factor based on the price. It is such a long flight and room for our feet or even a foot stool type would be nice to have."
Cons: "I will not use kayak again, because they used this terrible gouging airline that we did not know we were using for our flight. We had to change the flight date of our sons trip and they wanted to charge us $350 to change the flight and then with the difference in the flight it was gonna cost us $530 on top of that. The total for our flight was going to cost us $880! We found a brand-new flight with another company for $670! It is disgraceful! I will never use KAYAK because they used this airline and they don't let you know it! we never got our money back for the flight we did not use. It was a hard lesson learned. Whole thing"
Pros: "Air New Zealand has some of the friendliest cabin crews around. Their food is above average and they have a delicious array of wines served free with meals. My flight was interrupted by a medical emergency. We had to backtrack to the nearest airport, which added several hours to the flight. This meant a very long day for both passengers and crew. The crew remained cheerful and helpful throughout, in spite of cranky passengers."
