They cam by more than the first flight, even though it was 1/3rd the length of light. I liked the beef w/onion & brocolli meal, although more onions should have been included, I think I got four small segments of onion. Yes, I’m nit-picking a bit . . . But that’s what reviews are for, right?"

Cons: "Since I traveled with my daughter (4yo), I got to board early from LAX to TPE but my second flight from TPE to BKK, I had to wait till they called my zone seat. I was holding my daughter at that point since they took away my stroller way earlier than the boarding time. I would like to ask for the same standard of parents traveling with children who are 6 or younger to board first so they can get settle and these patents are tiring from dealing with their children during the flight. They are extra tired than regular passengers."

Eventually, I asked another attendant who put me in another chair and cleaned up. During the flight, NO water was distributed at all. Normally, this is done every 1-2 hours."

I was told that if there was any vegetarian option left behind I would get one but the steward didn't even have the decency to come back to tell me there wasn't any left. For the breakfast the steward was much nicer and was able to provide me with a vegetarian option."

Jet star claimed to 'help children with every flight' however the company donated nothing, they just went around to collect even more money from passengers. Worst flight ever. Will be calling customer service for a service recovery."

Cons: "Because we didn't guess how many bags we would have when we bought the tickets, or how heavy they would be, we had to pay an excess baggage fee of almost $500 for two bags (20 kg and 22 kg) at the airport. I can see getting a discount for paying for baggage fees ahead of time, but such a high "excess fee" when they are your first bags seem ridiculous. And being charged $4 for a bottle of water on a 9 hour flight?? I have never flown with an airline with such absurd fees and never will again."

Cons: "Had to carry carry-on suit case up and down stairs when boarded the plane. Based on the seat, half of the passengers boarded through regular ramped hall way, half boarded through back door that went downstairs to get out of the building, then up the stairs to the airplane. In Auckland airport international terminal, all passengers had to weight their carry-on and personal bags, and if it's more than seven kg, you have to check it in. This was the first time I experienced that. I bought gifts in the airport and planned to buy more. Our carry ons were a few kg over the limit, and we were sent back to the check in counter, where we just got our boarding passes and no warnings were given. We were lucky we had plenty of time during this transfer to go through all the back and forth hassles. Paying the extra $$ for the surprise check ins was not pleasant. There was another scale at the gate counter, which totally cancelled my shopping plan. To be fair, weight limit was not enforced when we boarded the plane, but you never know when that scale will be used. During the flight, I asked a flight attendant for water, and she told me to get it myself pointing the curtain half a plane away. Another new experience. This was the first time we took Jetstar, and on the way to New Zealand, we didn't feel it was too much different from the other airlines we flew before except you have to pay for everything from a cup of tea to meals and entertainment, and of course we didn't go through Auckland. The return trip really made us realize you get what you pay for."
