I flew to New Zealand with a large bag and then when I went to check in for my return flight they told me I couldn't check it to bring it back and my only option was to cargo it, which was not helpful being that the cargo was out of the airport and I needed to catch my flight. I was luckily able to check it on a separate flight my boyfriend was going on. But I would have either have had to leave my bag or miss my flight if he hadn't been there. It should have been more apparent that I wouldn't have been able to check it on the way back. It makes no sense to be able to bring a bag to New Zealand and not bring it back. That was very frustrating and overall I was very disappointed with this experience."

Cons: "First, the flight was delayed an hour and a half. No gate was announced until just before boarding. Afraid of missing my flight, I didn't doze even though I had been awake for 20 hours at this point. Once I got on the plane, the seats were so small in economy my hips were pressed against the arm rests and I am not a large person. The man next to me was pressing through over to my side. We both had difficulty opening the tray for meals because they were in the arm rests (not that it mattered, we were never served good). The controls for the entertainment and lights were in the arm rests as well and there was no way to see them because your thighs were pressed against them. The screen for my entertainment was crooked and flickered. The charging port did not work for my cell phone. The earphone jack had to be wiggled and wiggled and then I had to hold my leg perfectly still not to bump it. I eventually gave up trying to use the entertainment screen. I preordered my meal online, but waiting for dinner, already exhausted, I dozed off. I didn't get dinner and no one came around the rest of the trip and offered any refreshments. No water, no snack, nothing. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure I saw a crew member for the rest of the flight."

Should have pay bit more in Virgin or Qantas and get some space to breath. Kayak does not offer extra luggage at time of you booking and jetstar sucks you like a leach on upgrading after booking. One of the passengers were not able to travel and ticket was complete lost , where as the inbound flight on Qantas gave us credit for the future. In the end , the total cost ends up close to other airlines with all the discomfort on the flight free."

You would be doing your clients a big favor to include mention of this strange practice of not including luggage fees by Jetstar..and warn them that these fees could bring the total cost of their airfare to over $500 for a 100 minute domestic flight for 2 travelers. My husband said next time we're going through a travel agent. Sorry"

Cons: "Didn't know about the low weight allowance for carry-on; glad you didn't weigh my bag ..."

Cons: "Had to carry carry-on suit case up and down stairs when boarded the plane. Based on the seat, half of the passengers boarded through regular ramped hall way, half boarded through back door that went downstairs to get out of the building, then up the stairs to the airplane. In Auckland airport international terminal, all passengers had to weight their carry-on and personal bags, and if it's more than seven kg, you have to check it in. This was the first time I experienced that. I bought gifts in the airport and planned to buy more. Our carry ons were a few kg over the limit, and we were sent back to the check in counter, where we just got our boarding passes and no warnings were given. We were lucky we had plenty of time during this transfer to go through all the back and forth hassles. Paying the extra $$ for the surprise check ins was not pleasant. There was another scale at the gate counter, which totally cancelled my shopping plan. To be fair, weight limit was not enforced when we boarded the plane, but you never know when that scale will be used. During the flight, I asked a flight attendant for water, and she told me to get it myself pointing the curtain half a plane away. Another new experience. This was the first time we took Jetstar, and on the way to New Zealand, we didn't feel it was too much different from the other airlines we flew before except you have to pay for everything from a cup of tea to meals and entertainment, and of course we didn't go through Auckland. The return trip really made us realize you get what you pay for."

Cons: "I will never fly Jetstar again. Was asked to pay $160.00 for each of my checked bags after there was a booking error on their end. Never again. Not worth it."

Pros: "They charged us $200 baggage allowance when we got there. So much for booking my own flight. I was clueless on how their baggage fees work. Apparently you must pay for them BEFORE you get to the ticket counter. I will not fly with them again."

Pros: "Could get rebate by phone."
Cons: "Were slow to let us know that flight was cancelled and that it could not be rescheduled for a few days. Had to personally book on another airline--missed two earlier flights on the other airline due to Jetstar's delay."

Pros: "This is an inexpensive airline where nothing is included in the price of your ticket. The cost is great."
Cons: "You pay for all the extras, luggage, seat assignments, drinks, and snacks. This was not easily identifiable on the website."

Pros: "As good as you can get, considering it was economy. I think that the 787 made it that way--wonderful plane! I love Jet Star--being able to up-grade to comfort without much problem."
Cons: "Ordering food, even though a better value than most cut-rate airlines, is a pain to remember, and was difficult for some on board. When you say there will be no other food, people don't want to believe you."

Cons: "When booking with Kayak I was not given any prompt to pay for baggage. When I arrived at the airport at self check in I was shown no baggage allowance. the employee informed me it would be $70 for 1 checked bag. I do not know where they come up with this charge and think it is absolutely ridiculous that they can spring this unexpected and costly charge at you last minute. Normal baggage charges range from $25-$50 for 1 checked bag and this I could understand. $70 for a 1 hour and 5 minute flight is outrageous"

Cons: "Very low quality. After you book you discover hidden charges for baggage then food then pay for iPads for inflight entertainment, drinks etc. Stay with full service quality National Carrier"
