Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and express check-out. Planning an event in York? This hotel has facilities measuring 0 square feet (0 square meters), including conference space.
Standing in the shadow of York Minster, the Dean Court Hotel, BW Premier Collection enjoys, without a doubt, the finest location of any hotel in the city (if not the country)! History and heritage lay on our doorstep, with the county capital's major attractions, boutique shops and eateries all a short walk away. Speaking of walks, the city's famous ghost tours are well worth joining, while plenty of parkland can be enjoyed on a relaxing stroll through the nearby museum gardens. York Races is of course a draw if you fancy a flutter, but the safest bet of all is our award-winning cuisine and fine wines! Leeds, Harrogate and Knaresborough are all within easy reach, but we agree with the Vikings and Romans. York is the place to be! Please note that if the room description does not state breakfast is included, then it is for only the room. Opposite York Minster. Hotel's own secure car park - few moments away - complimentary valet parking. Car park charge 18.50 GBP per day. Enjoy your stay.

Maybe next time I would pay the little extra to try a bigger room. Cons: The only downside was how close the stair door was to our room door (room 10). I was concerned of hearing people coming up the stairs and opening/closing the door etc but it did not pose any problems at all. Heard the lift a few times but it was not loud at all and it did not disturb sleep.

Pros: The quality of the mattress in Room 10 was poor not a pleasant sleep. Staff nice, great location for city centre, room nice but not as luxurious as I thought it would be, room didn’t seem to get hoovered all week, bathroom mastic round bath coming away and looked poorly done - it’s all about the attention to detail - not sure I would stay again for the price - really bad for people with disabilities - steps everywhere.

Cons: Mentioned above. Embarrassing checkout said we hadn’t paid when in fact we had paid through booking.com in January 2019 for stay in November 2019 - need to brush up on how system works instead of asking us to pay when we had. Not happy with this.

Pros:
Cons: I was expecting a bigger, more luxurious room for the amount we paid.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel in an excellent location with good facilities
Cons: We booked with booking. Com in August and decided on an executive double room. However on arrival at the hotel we were advised that the confirmation to them had only been sent by booking. Com last night, and that there was a mix up on their system, and so we would only be able to have a small double room. This was disappointing as we had booked so far in advance we would have expected this was plenty of notice. The hotel offered us a bottle of wine by way of apology and the room we had was very nice, but we had been looking forward to a little bit of luxury as a special treat and so it was a shame this wasn't fulfilled.

Cons: Initially was in the Annex building before requesting a transfer to main hotel building. Quite a distance from main hotel and didn’t meet the 5-star quality.

4.0 Okay
Pros: Not much.
Cons: The view from the window was a backstreet with parking, delivery vehicles, garbage disposal, etc. For a 4-star hotel it was appalling. We have stayed in better 3-star hotels. As we are getting on in years we thought we should treat ourselves to superior accommodation, like a Hilton for example. It was a mistake. There was no refrigerator in the room! No way to perserve our fruit and food or cool our drinks. The entrance light was not working when we arrived; it took 2 days and 3 reminders to get it fixed. We can go on but to what avail? You might apologise, you might not; either way it won't encourage us to use Hilton again.

Pros: The room was clean and very pleasant. the bed was very comfortable and all the facilities were very good. The evening meal was nice and it was also nice to have it in my room.
Cons: The advert for the Holiday Inn states a 'free breakfast'. Yet when I went down for breakfast I was told I had to pay £13 95 because I had'nt booked it. I thought the breakfast was free. I did not understand why I had to pay for the breakfast when it clearly says on your booking website - Free Breakfast. Why state free breakfast when it obviously is'nt free.

Pros: The comfort and style. Good location and was really close to everything. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: There were a few minor issues Room was extremely hot but a fan was provided. It was noise in the morning with then Kitchen staff were making breakfast which was below our room. One strange thing was where we were allowed to keep our bags before we checked in our room...this room was unmanned unlocked. I would of liked to keep out luggage somewhere secure, although on request the staff did keep my laptop at reception instead Wireless access was poor had problems connecting.

Cons: This is a £95 a night lodging, there are no facilities beyond the room, there are no views from the windows and you have to navigate your way from public parking and find the location (not easy to find). Please don't read this as it was terrible it was just too expensive for what it was

6.3 Good
Pros: It’s location was excellent. In the city centre and close to the Xmas market, shops. Pubs and restaurants.
Cons: I had thought I had booked a room with a bath but when we arrived the bathroom only had a shower. The toiletries were not replaced every day. Ie the shower gel which for 2 of us didn’t last. There was only 1 hand towel. The room was very dark and the lighting poor. I couldn’t read my Xmas magazines as I took for a treat. The bed was reasonably comfortable. The facilities were ok.

Pros: The location is excellent, close to the city centre and only a few minutes walk from the train station. Check in was quick and easy and finding my dorm room was without issue. The beds were easily to work out as they are numbered. The reading lights on the bunks were an excellent addition. Staff were quick to respond to issues! The breakfast was good, not heaps of choice but in a pinch it is great.

Pros: Very friendly staff! Location is great, just a few minutes walk to the town centre.
Cons: A little noisy - not including noise from others in the room which can't be helped, but the noise from the road outside is quite noticeable.

Cons: The toilet seat in the female dorm was broken, not beyond use but it was a little unsightly - though I have seen a LOT worse.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Close to centre of York. Good breakfast
Cons: Parking can be a problem if you are late in the day
1.0 Poor
Pros:
Cons: Parking not good, our room was really small compared to everyone in our group, it was dirty cobwebs on the ceiling near air conditioning, which we ourselves took most down, the bedding and towels had marks all over them , bathroom door needed painting as paint was flaking off and bare wood was seen , skirting board in bathroom hanging off the wall. I could go on and on . Just easier to say don’t stay in room 326!!!! Down stairs in the bar area chairs were ripped and area around the windows very dirty we had had a bonus of smelling rotten flower petels all over the floor, no flowers in site so been left there when flowers must of been removed
