The employees at the pick up desk were awful. Of all of the car rental companies at the airport theirs was the only one with a queue of any size. They were unapologetic and rude. I had the rental booked for 3pm and I was in line at 2:50pm. After waiting in line for over an hour I was told they didn’t have a car and I would have to wait. We I asked if there would be in compensation or even a voucher for food I was told that ‘I can wait for a car or not, we already have your money.’ We didn’t get to a car until 4:45.Reviewed 15 Nov 2022

My car category was unavailable when I arrived at the Ohare counter. I was charged an extra fee for a different car unless I was willing to wait for my car category to become available with no guarantee as to when it would (at least another 45 minutes when I had already been waiting in line at the counter for 45 minutes) . The lady behind the counter was rude, short, and did not explain the problem. It felt like a classic bait and switch and I was being manipulated for more money.Reviewed 25 Oct 2022

Super long wait at Chicago Airport pickup. About 1:30. One counter for both Thrifty AND Dollar, with 2-3 clerks. Clerk's instructions about fuel prepaying and toll paying were unclear, and when I asked for her to repeat, she just said "Whatever, just take care of it". Probably just wanted to get over the huge queue and I get that, but still really bad customer service. She asked for me to write down my personal information on a boarding pass-like paper, with address, email and phone, when other companies around have a QR code for you to scan and enter these details in advance.
