Cons: Had a little bit of trouble finding it on foot from the bus station, as there's some round abouts and foot tunnels on the way. She complained a bit that we didn't call saying we were coming lateish but we didn't have a phone that worked there and things just took a lot longer than expected to get there and find it. (We had been up all night with flights so we were pretty tired though).

Cons: We had the first room down steps on right and it was very noisy.I take it that it was the kitchen door constantly banging as staff going in and out all night.Not their fault but maybe a rubber door stop would help.Next time I would ask for a quiet room maybe down the corridor as it is close to the bar.Also I think there were ppl/staff smoking right outside near bins which is too near the rooms and were also bit loud.Maybe put a shelter over far side of car park in left corner.

There was dozens of pubs, restaurants and shops to keep you entertained, the room and bathrooms were clean, and the staff were lovely and had no problems holding my bag until check-in time. Cons: While the exterior and main floor are exquisite and inviting, the hotel rooms left a lot to be desired. The beds were comfortable enough, the bathroom was functional, however it is out-dated and has an off-colour that doesn't come out from years of use. Luckily it was big and spacious - a great break to stretch your legs after a busy day.

Cons: The bathroom was a lovely bathroom, but there was no heater, which meant it was absolutely freezing. Not even a heated towel rail. We tried to get some bar snacks later at night, but there was nothing. The lovely barman Graham managed to find us some shortbread, but strange that a hotel bar wouldn’t even have a packet of crisps. There was no phone in the room, which meant you had to go down to reception if you needed anything. Which for a hotel of this standard is very unusual. I know the maids have to be in and clean early but the noise that they made was ridiculous. Such a shame, because it is such a beautiful hotel.

Pros: The location was fab, very close to the centre and the castle.
Cons: Our hotel room was filthy, the bath plug hole was covered with scum and hairs. There was long blonde hair all over the carpet, dust on loo roll holders and surfaces, we came back to the hotel after dinner and we had to be registered for the bar as room guests, no one had told us this, it took the employee 20minutes to try and sort it and eventually gave up and asked us to pay for our drinks as and when we got them. Which was fine but unfair on him to be having to chase up something that should have been done. £91.80 for the superior king room and to be fair, the only thing superior is it has a larger bed. Room size was standard. I asked the employee what the difference was and "the name of the room" was his answer.

Pros: Helpful staff, nice and clean everywhere, food was good....our room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable, I suffer from a bad back and osteoarthritis and even I had a good nights sleep. Would definitely stay here again,

One said to the other to be considerate and keep the noise low to which the guy's reply suggested he books a room in the Hilton next time. My reaction, I guess was a compromise between laughing and trying to sleep

Pros: We liked the experience of staying at a hostel (it was our first time ever). The room was clean, I particularly liked the high ceiling! The 2 windows were very big, and offered nice views of the city. The location was just excellent! Within walking distance of the main attractions of the Old Town of Stirling. Just beautiful. We didn't have breakfast, so can't comment about that. For people on a budget, it's very good value for money.

Cons: Carefully tiptoed around the room to not disturb the guys who were fast asleep... but the woody floors got the better of me ..squeaky floors, but then one got to realise that you are privileged to be in a time capsule form Robert the Bruce era, that's the "add on" bit

Cons: I was given a key that should have been able to be used to open the front door. It did not once during my stay and I felt I inconvenienced the staff for them to open the door. I didn’t stay out later in the evening to avoid issues. I didn’t like that I paid £7 for breakfast and when I arrived it said £6!
